If the 737 MAX in question was the iFly, then it would definitely be worthy of consideration... but the Asobo job? ..... nah! 😄

As he said...737 MAX but only if you are talking about the Ifly version.

Much like the 800 but with bigger screens. Make a big difference flying on a computer.

My rule of thumb is, if it's too big to land at EGLC (London City), then it's too big to interest me. I want to fly to wherever I want, not to only wherever the runways are long enough.

From London City "Wiki" not "AI":

"Mid-range airliners seen at London City include the ATR 42 (both −300 and −500 variants), ATR 72, Airbus A318, Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, BAe 146/Avro RJ, Dornier 328, Embraer ERJ 135, Embraer 170, Embraer 190 and Fokker 50. On 30 January 2009, trials were completed successfully with the ATR 72–500, leading to its approval for use at the airport. The Embraer 190SR underwent trials from 28 March 2009 and thereafter gained approval. The Fokker 70, BAe Jetstream 41, Saab 340 and Saab 2000 also have approval for scheduled operations at the airport. A number of airlines including Swiss and Odyssey have ordered the Airbus A220 with the intention of operating it from London City once delivered and approved."

My Note:

I do not see any of the 3 737 a/c that are supposed to tug at your heartstrings here... @Fielder...alas...

The Boeings and Buses are, but I have a soft spot for the BAe RJ's and the MD80. Not enough to actually fly them, but they do have plenty of character compared to the others, and I get the impression that they're a bit more hands-on. My Black Square Bonanza keeps me busy enough for now...

I really like the BAe and RJs too. It's already available in the Marketplace, I think. In fact, that's top on my list of future (MSFS) acquisitions.

I was regularly landing those (QW) BAe/RJ airliners into EGLC airport, probably before they were formally and officially approved for operations there ...🙂... (see also my EGLC Wiki snippet above).

Thanks for the comment.

Yeap...that's how to fly LOW and FAST, or how the Pros do ...

I have the 146 - it keeps one quite busy when flying!

At some point I’m going to add the RJ since it’s got a lot more pilot relief systems 😂

So from the other two, well I'm only a PMDG 737-800 owner, so the question would be, do I fancy flying a short and shifty version of my usual steed, or a version that thinks it's a replacement for a 757 😊

In the event, I think I's go for the -600 and fly an Air Algerie flight from my payware DAAG addon to my payware HLLT addon 👍😎

Understood, if you own the iFly MAX 8, which is clearly a keeper, then, there is no need to look at the Asobo/MSFS MAX 8. BTW, please tell iFly to send their product to the Marketplace...🙂..., because, apparently, there are some architectural incompatibilities now between iFly and Marketplace...Oh well...I can live with it...

Regarding Air Algerie -600, you mean the following picture. Right?

I used to have a colleague (office mate) for several years who was from Algeria and would take the Air Algerie 767 (alas, we don't have a 767 in MSFS), from Chicago O'Hare to Paris Orly, regularly once a year, when the whole office would be mine...🙂...so, this became a favorite airline of mine too.

See at your convenience one post of mine, below the picture, with this Air Algerie 736, and hope you like it, as an Air Algerie fan.

That Jumbolino' (little Jumbo) can do it all...always liked the look and spirit of it ...

I will be getting the 737-700 once it comes out though.  BBJ classic style!

I know you’re a fan of all kinds BBJs, small or big.

The SWA -700s, I recall, used to take a lot  from Midway many moons ago. I’ve not travelled in SWA now in ages, neither have I visited MDW…
