V1.0.10 not yet available on the marketplace, only v1.0.9 is available.

I doubt that. Sometimes the update does not stream as it should.

I just checked on fs2024, and version 1.0.10 is still not available.

I did SCEL-LEMD yesterday (at 4x speed), and it flew fine, no issues.

Does it support x8?

Hi:

First of all, the iniBuilds EFB is settable to sim rate 4x max (displayed conveniently and conspicuously on the top margin of the EFB i.e., no guess work, which I really like).

With that said, I think I’d once tested setting my own (custom) configurable sim rate keys such as e.g., “]” and “[“, for increase and decrease respectively.

That works too, as I recall (at least for Xbox). However, as @Tuskin38 said, I’ve flown several times (long-haul) 12 hour flights with the A340 at 4x only, flight time reduced to (3-4) hours with such sim rate.

Generally speaking, at 8x sim rate, you will likely run into instabilities. One thing, I’d noticed was e.g., on oceanic route segments, where there are kinks and small directional changes, you might be knocked off stable flight or/and autopilot disconnect etc.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend 8x in any long-haul airliner, unless under very close (and constant) supervision. You don’t want disastrous endings, long hours into your long-haul flight.

I’m flying PMDG 777 NZAA - KLAX with x16. No issues

Yes, it might work on the (almost) straight segments of the route, but, more than once, I’ve found my long-haul airliner floating on the Atlantic, when I’ve stepped out for a bit…🙂

Well, at 16x, one can always replicate a 16 hour ultra-long-haul flight again, within another hour or so.

At 16x sim rate, one is also bound to miss the (virtual) experience of the beauty of sunrise and sunset from high altitude, some aspects of long-haul that are truly fascinating, but last for only brief periods, during the flight.

I love this plane, but an update to it's flight handling characteristics is what is sorely needed (and not touched, disappointingly).

There's a YouTube vid where a real A340 Captain assesses the Ini A340 (it's an hour long - thorough) and highly praises it....... apart from the flight dynamics on approach.  In the vid, he flies the aircraft flawlessly but on approach, he disconnects the AP, and on final (with a gentle headwind), the aircraft starts floating to the right of track - with no control inputs.  It then begins an uncommanded yaw.   The landing is a mess and he explains that the product is superb apart from the "high drag, low speed handling", where he assesses something is really off.

I'll try my best to find the vid now!  It's not someone I subscribe to and I can't recall his name but I will begin the hunt for it!

EDIT:  Found it!

What is even more odd, on my setup, despite the marketplace version showing me 1.0.9 being the current version the EFB in all of my variants still shows 1.0.8

Yes, indeed, I’d also (initially) observed such version number anomalies in my Xbox/Marketplace, for the last updates of A340 or/and A350 (not the latest; yet to look for the latest update, being away at the moment).

However, I recall it all sorted out after a while.

BTW, the (free) A340 livery packs that iniBuilds (thankfully) provided in the Marketplace, remained out-of-sync with the latest (a/c) version number for even longer time.

Has anyone experienced an odd issue with the aircraft adding fuel when turning onto final approach or thereabouts?

Hello, v1.0.10 is finally available on the Marketplace
