March 12Mar 12 Nice thing is they seemed to look at my last 2 AI traffic bug reports, AS ai are now almost behaving, not only that they now push back properly, well not quiet but far better. No more running off into strange worlds, they wait for the correct taxi path before taxing. Nice to se laminar. But still more work on routing needed, seems AI doesnt like straight taxiways, like doing detours on and off, Edited March 12Mar 12 by mjrhealth

You can read about it in the release notes: # Public Beta 12.4.1 B1 ## Aircraft Airbus A330-300 - Display ZULU time instead of local time on the DATE/SET page (XPD-17801) - Fixed an issue where the chrono timer wasn’t displayed correctly when time passed 1 hour (XPD-17626) - Fixed an issue where ALT CRZ did not engage automatically after level-off when using V/S, causing ALT to engage incorrectly instead (XPD-17800) - Fixed an issue where the preselected vertical speed on the FCU was ignored when engaging V/S (XPD-17797) - Fixed an issue where continuous ignition would cause a gradual loss of cabin pressure (XPD-17798) - Improved visualization of waypoints and route line on the ND (XPD-17848) - Added a working 3D RAT on the exterior modelling - Improved TCAS, including new sounds for TCAS advisories Beechcraft King Air C90B - Disabled Cowl Flaps in Plane Maker Boeing 737-800 - Changed the default autopilot bank rate limit from 20 to 25 Cessna 172 Skyhawk - Improved materials to enhance the “wet effect” - Fixed wiring of bus system to be in line with the official aircraft – all systems are on BUS1 apart from COM 2/NAV 2/GPS 2 and the avionics fans which are on BUS2 (XPD-17843) - Fixed the clock power supply; the clock is now always on, as it is directly connected to the battery (XPD-17842) Cessna Citation X - Improved TCAS, including new sounds for TCAS advisories - Corrected description of the FADEC commands (XPD-17852) Cirrus Vision SF50 - Added new sounds for TCAS advisories ## AI Aircraft - Fixed an issue where enabling combat would cause the spawning of additional aircraft when opening the map (XPD-17816) - Improved generic lights logic for AI aircraft (XPD-17854) - Improved taxiing for AI aircraft (XPD-17373) - Fixed an issue where AI did not request pushback (XPD-17292) ## ATC - Performance optimizations when checking for nearby ATC controllers - When requesting alternative departure or arrival procedures, tailor the menu items more closely to the situation - Ensure that it is always possible to request a different SID from the same assigned runway - Updated voicepacks for the latest AIRAC - Various smaller improvements ## Avionics General - Fixed a minor spelling issue “Hold Nort of” —> “Hold North of” (XPD-17823) X1000 - Added a new weather radar overlay on the main map (soft key: “WX RADAR”) - Display the engine soft key on the PFD in reversionary mode (XPD-17831) - Fixed an issue when creating custom waypoints (XPD-17858) ## Connectivity - Fixed an issue where the RADR inet output was incorrect (XPD-17578) - Fixed an issue in the Tobii Eye Tracker settings when using X-Plane in Italian (XPD-17778) - Improved the experience when using the Tobii Eye Tracker or TrackIR (mouse/keyboard adjustments remain active) - Added joystick profiles for the Virpil CDT-VMAX Throttle Quadrant and Virpil R1-FALCON Rudder Pedals ## Pro Customers - Added a new option in the settings to quit the sim in case the flight controls check fails - Added display of horizontal and vertical aircraft movements on the map during training sessions (XPD-17571) ## Scenery - New library items: cab-over trucks and trailers - Improved gravel textures - Improved ground vehicle behavior and appearance - Improved CPU performance ## SDK - Added support for sending WebSocket close frames on orderly shutdown (XPD-17863) - Fixed an issue when using XPLMLoadDataFile (XPD-17670) - Fixed SDK version numbering (XPD-17840) - Improved logging when a plugin tries to bypass the normal chain of command using OS-Level event messages from APIs that can be called by the sim - Various smaller SDK improvements ## Weather - Fixed an issue reading GRIB data with layers defined by pressure altitudes - Improved the blending of atmosphere changes to reduce high-altitude temperature variations - Changed the interpretation of cloud groups to reduce unwanted CB
March 12Mar 12 Regarding networked weather, I hope X-Plane doesn’t go down the other simulator’s rabbit hole where the exact shape and location of every cloud is expected to be identical (in multiplayer). That resulted in a downgraded scripted weather system.

I don´t really see how that can NOT be the end goal, though? What do you expect the solution to be for one player saying "Hey, I am going into this big cloud right now" and the other guy saying "Huh, what cloud? There is no cloud near your position!" So yes, that "rabbit hole" is exactly where Laminar wants to go.

You know how you can create a minecraft world using the same seed, and get the exact same world generation... Community Management for Laminar Research

March 13Mar 13 Sorry spoke to soon - Balloons are still there a few less but at least they are not operating in Thunderstorms and non vmc weather. Alas.
