Livestream of Vector 787 presentation at FSWeekend today

Featured Replies

Hi.  At 11:30 AM CET, Vector will be presenting their 787 at FSWeekend, and answering questions about it. I think we will know a lot more about their 787 project when they take the stage at FSWeekend.

The live stream link for FSWeekend is: https://www.youtube.com/live/nbQnmsnMSFU?si=y5Nn73p-9ZZKw94x

But I think you'll have to wait until 11:30 AM CET until Vector takes the stage.

Yeah, there are a lot of unanswered questions from Vector's original announcement, and even the follow up questions they were asked after their announcement.

I hope they reveal the rest of the missing information that they couldn't talk about, because they have been holding back that information, just for this FSWeekend presentation.

Here is their segment from the livestream:

Explanation to one of the burning questions: How can this be developed so fast?

They have a big team of over 20 people working on it.

Thanks.

Sounds good, and looks good here.

I would like to try those EDW windows…on this one…🙂

Yes, they have been at it for 1-year…seemingly with a complete set participants…

That was an interesting presentation. They are developing all three variants of the 787, so that answers that question!

Thank you, Chris…!

Finally, my alter ego (787-8) will be appeased after so many years of painful wait…🙂

I also prefer the -8, since it is the baby of the bunch (a bit like the -600 in the 737NG group)

Personally I would have prefered them stay under wraps a bit longer. We already compared them to Fenix that they seemingly came out of nowhere and have an almost ready to be released product.

While that is true it seems the release window is a bit larger than we anticipated. I'm just not a fan of months of hype and previews. I'm content with being made aware that something will release within the next 8 weeks.

Their release window however is the full year of 2026, so we might have a long wait ahead of us.

I'd love a really nice and detailled 787...

So, the release window is the full year 2026…

Yes, that’s a bit long (and 8 weeks of wait would be so nice), but it’s nothing compared to the 6 years, I/we had to wait for the QW 787. The original announcement was in 2010, and it was released for FSX first in 2017, followed by later in 2018, for P3D. The significant delay coincidentally mimicked the RW 787 launch in 2004, and the first (ANA) delivery in 2011.

The QW 787 was the longest ever wait for me for an aircraft in the SIM. Of course, I could afford to wait lot longer those days…

Yes, both the baby Boeings are keepers, Chris…🙂

Oh my god.... That's comparable to Star Citizen.

🙂

QW released the 757 first in 2009. Then, after about a year, I recall, the 787 project was announced.

And then, yes, the interminable wait followed that lasted ~6 years, especially difficult period for me, as you can guess…🙂

The P3D folks had to wait even longer.

So, your 8-weeks here sounded dream-like.
