Really problematic stutters with FSLTL

Featured Replies

One thing to note about FSLTL trafic is that you can fly with it at one airport and it stutters, then fly at the same airport tomorrow and it doesn't.  Now whilst this could be down to MS servers or your ISP, it's worth remembering that at different times of the day, there will be more air traffic movements than others which means that FSLTL is working harder to create and render them.

I seriously doubt that it is FSLTL that is acting any different if you're suggesting that.  It is likely the entire context where FSLTL's impact is playing a larger part as a percentage of all impacts on processing at one airport over another.

Right now I'm back to using FSLTL's injector w/ BATC's ATC.  While you get a dumbed down version of ATC in that it isn't directly any traffic even though it's controlling my plane there are substantial benefits in other areas that happen when you don't use BATC's injection, and one of those is demand processing.  It's generally at least 50% easier on performance than is BATC's injection and management.

I moved to AIG solely, and have not looked back.

Are you running @ 4k? I have a 3080 and was getting OK performance with mostly high settings and a few ultra settings. I have a second monitor that is 1080, so I got curious to see what the difference in performance would be -- NIGHT AND DAY. The complete gain in performance was well worth it for me to downsize resolution. I can now run almost everything on ultra, with FSLTL and in the Fenix.

Did you try 2K? I'm interested to see what the visiual and performance would be like with 2K and 1080 with lower setting son 2K and ULTRA on 1080. Only if you have done this already yourself or are considering it. I guess that it is also a little dependent on screen size too.

Is it still a long and painful experience installing it?

Kind of.  Just needed to set it up once though.
