Expert Series 02 Praetor,

You got it backwards, the Praetor is Expert Series 3, the Piper M600 is Expert Series 2.

For everyone else, I really recommend watching the Praetor presentation in the Dev Stream yesterday

starts at 1 hour 12 minutes

I only wonder who will do the sounds on the Praetor?

Asobo is doing the art and sounds.

Appreciate the correction 🤙

In addition to Seb's update on the CFD and physics improvements in the core sim this was by far the most exciting part of the Dev Q&A! Looks to be incredible depth of simulation of systems and dynamics down to the core, loved Matt nerding out on all the technical details and equations 🙂 Given their track record so far, totally expecting this one to deliver.

"How can we set a new standard not just in MSFS but flight simulation" is the kind of mantra I love to hear from a flight sim development team.

Having watched the part about the Praetor it made me realize just how much money any developer will get if someone could finally officially license the Gulfstream. Imagine having this level of fidelity for a G800. MS has the money and MSFS has the reputation that makes me feel like somehow, someway they could finally work a deal out to get something as awesome as a G800 officially licensed. Imagine doing LAX-SYD in a BUSINESS JET with that kind of avionics. Done on this level, it would probably be the best selling plane in the history of flight simulation. Sometimes I dream...

I think MS could possibly pull it off now that MSFS and flight sim have become so well established.

it’d probably have to be similar to the Praetor, tho - very high fidelity.

But even then they might not want to do it, some companies are “funny” that way. They feel like it cheapens their brand (when there’s plenty of evidence to the contrary).

there’s also at least a little bit of secrecy. I got to walk through a USMC G IV not too long ago. The crew was very helpful, but they firmly forbade me from photographing the cockpit, even tho it was fully cold n dark. I’m sure there’s high end commo in there, but still, it’s quite an old jet!

In any case, My dad finished out his long aviation career as an IP for Gulfstream.

I was able to go with him into the Level D sims quite a few times (usually in the middle of the night !).
I’ll tell ya, he put those guys through the wringer, for sure!

So, yeah - Id dearly love to be able to have a Hi Fi Gulfstream jet, would really be nostalgic!

You are not alone with the Gulfstream dreaming. In the near future - FSReborn Phenom 300E 😉

I could imagine a licensed Dassault Aviation Falcon with Praetor like depth, AzurPoly of course has a Dassault Aviation license for fighter jets but no MSFS dev yet has a Dassault Aviation bizjet license, I too Gulfstream dreaming, excited for Raul-FSReborn's 300E and the Expert Series 02 Piper M600!
