No I didn't. It appeared in my library and I updated from there. I'm tempted to uninstall everything and start again.

1) Make sure you've disabled the 2020 version in Marketplace/Library
2) Do a search on Youtube for cold & dark tutorial videos. One of them (I forget which - sorry) gives a detailed and correct startup procedure.

It has always appeared in the library if we have the 2020 version. We need to update it via marketplace and it will properly "overwrite" the 2020 version.

Thanks I'll check to see if the procedure has changed for the update but with so many things not available more than not working, it is frustrating.

I'll try that tomorrow. I'll uninstall the update and re-install the 2020 version first, then go to the marketplace and try again.

Not quite (!). It installs the 2024 version alongside the 2020 version. You need to disable the 2020 version manually (in the Library).

The 2020 version needs to remain in your sim for it to know that you qualify for the free 2024 version. But the 2020 version MUST be Disabled in your Library. The Marketplace will still recognise that you owned the 2020 version even when it is disabled in your Library.

For engine start - it is mentioned above but worth emphasising that all of the covers MUST be removed or the engines will spin but NOT start. I've never tried the external walkabout removal method, but there is an innocuous button in the 'Aircraft' section of the EFB - at the bottom of the list of 'States' (Cold and Dark/Ready for Taxi/Etc) 'Remove all Covers'. Clicking this seems to do absolutely nothing...but in reality it does remove the covers and allows the engines to start.

Having spent too much time frustrated and unsuccessful by falling into many and most of the traps mentioned and already highlighted in this thread, I have nevertheless just finished a full short flight: cold and dark start all the way to ILS landing, taxi and shutdown.

And - although I wouldn't be able to easily put my finger on what and where the ATR differences are - the whole thing felt much improved and turned out as a very, very satisfying flight.

It looks good, sounds just like the real ones that I have been passenger in many times over the years - and feels just as quirky 😀

I was using FSHud air traffic control with their new 'live' traffic enhancement and was in VR, recording it 'through the lens' using OBS Studio . I will post some screen shots in the Screen Shot section of the forum when I get a chance.

Aside from being 2024 native - Do we know what changes have been made to this version compared to 2020 version? I owned their 2020 version when it came out and flew fair bit of flights on it however it was incredibly buggy with either things broken or not simulated accurately.

Is 2024 version any good or is similar to 2020 still ?

Just finish my first flight.... totaly underpowered!!!! Cruise speed is just 170/180knots.
Need a fix for that

In 2020, cruise speed is easily 240 knots Vnav mode but it was FL100 crz alt
