FlightFX CitationX - Nav radios re-tune themselves

Featured Replies

Has anyone here experienced the NAV radios re-tuning themselves with the FlightFX Citation?  For example, you are shooting in ILS and midway through the approach the NAV removes the ILS frequency and re-tunes itself to a nearby VOR. This happens to me frequently. I have poured over the manual and can not find anything about this being an intended feature. Is this simply something on my end or has anyone else seen this ( and if you have can it be disabled?)

For MSFS2020 or MSFS2024?

Have you inquired about this on their support forums? In the 2024 model, I haven't noticed this happening. What airports are you flying into and are they 3rd party airports?

Could this be related to having co-pilot turned on?

Important is to set the NAV Frequencies in the FMC - not by changing the NAv Radios. IF you use the Radios the frequencies are not consistant.

The only support I could find was on Discord, and I refuse to participate in Discord. Do they have a standard web site for support? Regardless, it has happened across numerous airports. Savannah (KSAV), new Teterboro v2, Hayward CA (KHWD - from the marketplace... many others all in 2024, so it is not tied to any single third party developer.

not even using the FMC, other than initializing them. Just doing some quick raw data hand flown aproaches each time.

On their Discord site is a lot of great info on the Citation X. very good FAQ's, User manual and tutorial flying the jet. Or look on you tube for more info on the jet.

You should use it to tune your Nav Frequencies

Why?

Can you provide an example of a problem?

I have the approach charts in pdf format on a second monitor, and frequently have the area charts on a firefox window signed into skyvector.com. other than that there is nothing else running other that fs2024 (Marketplace edition)

FMC. - NAV Index - TUNE

There you can tun the NAV Aids. „A“ before the frequeny means automatic and „M“ manual tuning.

It is also described in the manual.
