This AI is Insane!

Featured Replies

While, probably like many others, I view AI with cautious intrigue, I nevertheless am in awe at some of the, quite simply, beautiful applications that it's being used for. The latest AI video I have seen has been produced with one of the finest AI apps, which includes Suno music production and Higgsfield imaging. The lyrics have been written 100% by human, but everything else is AI! I have played this video several times now, as it seems to touch something inside of me, that takes me back to those innocent days of the fifties. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r9mWWE624A

It's mind-boggling how fast the technology is evolving, that's for sure.  I'm a software developer and grateful to be in the sunset of my career.  I have little doubt my job will be largely obsolete by the end of the decade.

Richard, my man, you should know that clients are lousy at describing what they want, and AI is ruthless in following their directions.  Our jobs are safe.

AI might be able to generate code, but it will still need a human to review it.

Code generation is, after all, both a science and an art. The AI might be able to provide the "science" part.  I'm certain that the "art" will forever be beyond its capabilities.

"AI accidentally made me believe in the concept of a human soul by showing me what art looks like without it."

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

I saw this recently and I agree, it's an astonishing and really quite wonderful jump into nostalgia.

It's also pretty frightening in it's implications. It means we can no longer trust anything as a 'true image' or a 'true record'.

Robots won't take our jobs....they'll become our bosses.
