Aircraft disappearing too early during takeoff

These are the data from a test at iniBuilds EGCC this morning. PSXT v15.1.2 with RTQ data. There were a lot of aircraft freezing in position, and some aircraft cutting corners. Almost all of the aircraft freezes were aircraft moving onto the runway for departure, and therefore not taking off. However, I did notice a few aircraft freezing during the takeoff roll. I did not see any freezes on landings, taxi in, or taxi out.

And other models not? Then it is likely an RT issue. PSXT treats all models the same.

I also have to report that, on my PC as well, I’ve been noticing a fairly significant deterioration in AI traffic handling in the latest versions, including freezes, traffic stacking, and various operational issues at different airports.

In some previous versions I've had the feeling that the traffic was smoother. Just not a criticism but to help if possibile with some more feedback.

I have been testing LEMD and YSSY yesterday for quite some time.

At LEMD, max gap rarely went lower than 50 (Nico mentioned that 30 is like a warranty of no-freezes). So, I had seen plenty of frozen planes. Meanwhile, landing traffic is ok.

YSSY, max gap was between 23 and 34, so the result was predictably good.

Nico, is it possible to obtain average data for a given session? I may try to create a quick macros myself from Log.txt (paid version of Chat GPT is very good in such tasks), but if you already have a solution, pls. let us know. Also, maybe it's worth to create some sort of ratio for specific airport with RT stream quality, similar to qf value.

With that being said, we now dependent on quality of RT stream, which is quite sad.

What confuses me totally is the RT radar, where I (almost) don't see any freezings.

Testing KLAX now. 723s max gap. Average is 55-58. And I clearly see a lot of frozen AI on taxiways. KLAX used to be a posterchild of PSXT

I've also been noticing lots of frozen aircraft, both on the taxi as well as in position on the runway. I'm at ATL right now for instance which is normally quite good coverage wise as well but I see many aircraft frozen in place or slewing around corners etc. All very unusual.

I have tested at EGCC and the RT Quality data has improved a lot, average and deviation figures around 4.

I tested EGCC yesterday with v15.2.1 and this morning at EGPH with v15.2.2. I can report that the issues I raised seem to have been resolved. I no longer see aircraft freezing position anywhere, and I do not see aircraft cutting corners. This may be a placebo effect, but the overall movement of aircraft also seems much more fluid and smooth.

KIAD and KJFK look ok as of this morning with the historical data set to yesterday.

Sorry I haven’t been able to test. I work 12 hour days in my discipline, so I don’t get much sim time during those days!! Today is my Friday, so I hope to take a peek tomorrow….barring the honey-do list isn’t too long! 🤣
