Yes, the weather server is broken at the moment. Lamminar knows and Laminar will fix it. No time frame though.

Workaround: Manual weather.

Might be a sign to take another serious look at Active Sky.

what a fkin joke. not cheap payware bought by many many thousands of people this shoud be fixed in a couple of hours. all it does it DLs a 100megs, input is a primitive text file based system, not working for 2 days when theres a serious weather phenomenon over europe now. no wonder realistic weather simulation is so far behind actual possibilities in current sims.

Mmm no that has nothing to do with it. It's not LR's fault. The sim downloads realtime wx files from US gov. The distribution servers that XP uses are down and I imagine will likely stay down for the rest of the day because it's the weekend. Historical wx does work. That server is LR's.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

Maybe in the future they can find a solution not based only in NOAA...

Not working in 12.4.0 Prod, either.

I fell back to my 12.3.3 install and it wouldn’t even launch (hung on getting weather message)

Doing some circuits at GSP and it appears weather suddenly came back.

It depends ENTIRELY on the Root Cause of the error.

This is the first time I personally can remember live weather being fundamentally non-functional.

I’m confident that if it were in Laminar’s immediate ability to repair, they’d have done it by now.

I.e., we’re looking at some upstream 3rd party vendor problem of some sort.

Everything malfunctions sooner or later.

For $5 a month, XP has been extremely reliable for years upon years. 🤙

Apparently if was th NOA government server issue, all up
