ORBx LDSP Split

Featured Replies

Does anyone have ORBx LDSP Split running in MSFS 2024? If so, does it have any issues? The message on the ORBx forum is that there are mesh issues, but I do not know if this is with PG on or off (or both).

It must be said that the really quite large mesh anomalies that were there when MSFS 2024 was first released have disappeared
and the airport model looks pretty good to me.
MSFS 2024 is, of course, a moving target and may well change again, but for now the MSFS 2020 LDSP looks to be quite acceptable when used in MSFS 2024.
It looks exactly the same, with photogrammetry on, or off.
It will not survive the beta tester's eye, however, so if you decide to buy it, you will need to be a little more tolerant.
If that's not possible, I would recommend not buying it.

I think it is a lot better than Orbx version in every way.

I just had a look at LDSP in FS24 and it is acceptable for an airliner visit. But it doesn't really cut the mustard for a helicopter inspection! There's a large trench next to the runway and various holes and texture issues around, but landing a 737 say, the runway, taxiway and aprons are all fine.

I used Addon Linker to get the airport in FS24 by the way.

I’ve flown in there successfully but the last time the runway wasn’t fully rendered when I landed and I hit a bump while decelerating which knocked me in the air.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll check this out…one of my favourite all time vacations was to Split so I was really missing a functional rendition in MSFS24.

Thanks for the information, guys. I think that Reader is probably correct to say that I would notice small issues that most other users may be inclined to ignore. As for the other version, it is apparently designed to work with PG on, so that may also be a problem for me.

I really hope that an MSFS 2024 native version of the ORBx airport is developed at some point.

I ran into issues with the gate area to the side of the terminal showing mesh issues - sunken vehicles etc. The parking spots to the front seemed fine. Real pity, it's a spectacular airport.

I will have a look at that one. I thought that the ORBx one looked better, but I will check again.

I had the same thought. Maybe the screenshots just don’t do it justice.
