SU6 and Still Delayed Loading

Featured Replies

I used to get this quite badly for a while after SU4, not any more. If I notice it at all it's with Carenado aircraft which probably says more about Carenado than it does MSFS, but even then it is a split second in some areas of the world and even then, not every time. Doesn't happen at all with Black Square aircraft for instance. While it was distracting when it happened, it wasn't in any way enough to deter me from using MSFS and just made me stay in the cockpit more which I should have been doing anyway. It improved a lot for me after SU5.1 if not before, I can't actually remember.

Did you tweak something back then? so the issue stopped, or just happened when you updated to SU5.1? In my case the issue is less perceptible now with SU6 but still there.

No settings, software or hardware changes here. I think 'they' must have done something to improve things since SU4 and probably not overnight, but it's gone from extreme to negligible for me.

But are you swapping views from inside to outside and then back? Swapping views internally doesn't trigger the issue.

Performance or lagging texture loading when changing views does not bother me because it doesn't happen in the cockpit, in the outside, or switching from inside to outside. There is no delay in scenery rendering. None at all. I have snap views mapped to controller buttons for the ouside view (the buttons are mapped to also work in cockpit view). I have 3 levers (CH Quad) to pan the x,y,and z axis in outside view. Snap or pan in outside view: no delays in scenery. Snapping back and forth cockpit to outside, same thing, no delays.

It could be that the testers at Asobo don't see the problem on their machines either. Therefore they couldn't fix a problem they don't have. But maybe they do see the problem on some of their computers, I don't know.

Well it is visible on youtube as well, although some content makers are editing video fades in between swapping views now to remove the issue.

It is also dependent on what aircraft and resolution you use for sure. You seem to have the secret sauce Fielder, so if you could bottle it and sell it that would be good! 😁

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
