Color me jealous (in a good way 🤙):

IIRC, she’s also acted as FO with The King into Paro.

My kinda gal. 👍

Good for her! It's about time women can 'be all they can be'!

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

About time?

Women have been pilots in military aviation since WW2, although not in direct combat roles.

Women fighter jet pilots have been around since 1993.

There aren't as many female pilots as male pilots because most women aren't interested in that career. Same goes for most other male-dominated careers.

But this isn't the 1960s, so it is the only reason. All you have to do is observe the world around you.

In the U.S.:

90% of nurses are female.

78% of teachers are female, and 89% of elementary school teachers are female.

95% of dental hygenists are female.

93% of hairdressers and cosmetologists are female.

94% of childcare workers are female.

Those careers are female-dominated because most men don't choose those professions.

Men and women are equal in every way except physical strength, but aside from the obvious physical differences, they are different. Women tend to be more caring and empathetic, so choose roles and jobs where they can utilize those traits.

Of course there are always exceptions. A small percentage of women are interested in aviation, engineering, and other typically male-dominated interests, but a much higher percentage of men have those interests.

Don’t make the mistake of believing that Equal = Same. 🤙

I'll opt out of this one as I can't believe there are people who still don't believe that women have been denied equal opportunities because of their sex and as for statistics Dave, the US is the last place I'd use as a reference point.

In the past, sure. There hasn't been systemic, legal, institutionalized, or pervasive sexism or racism in the U.S. for the past 30 years.

Okay, gentlemen:

As much as I like to cross swords on the unintended consequences of DEI, this post ain’t about that.

Let’s get back on track and keep the vibes positive. 🙏
