November 1Nov 1 As a kid growing up in the 1960s, I and all the kids I knew never ate these. They just didn’t appeal to us. I used to call them Necro wafers.The closest candy to Necco I remember was Pixy Stix.Pixy Stix was colored powdered sugar in a straw. When we would go to the neighborhood liquor store to buy candy, my friend Charlie would buy them and wash it down with a bottle of Coke that he would use a hollow licorice stick as a straw to drink it. We would all laugh at him and tell him he was going to rot all his teeth out. 🤣

We used pretend we were giving our friends holy communion by placing the wafers on each others tongues.But my favorites still are Good and Plenty licorice candies and Cracker Jack. I can't find them in the stores here so I order them from Amazon. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
