  1. Hehehe....I think we all could have used some sleep after that one. I'm lucky, I have a very understanding wife who let's me play once in a while.Of course having the computer on 24 hours a day for a few days, fans and all, for the Teamspeak server almost did me in. ;-)Apology not needed, but accepted all the same. Thanks. :-)BTW - No problems on my end, plane works fine on my system.Best Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

    War of the Worlds

Saw the Orginal Movie, not interested in seeing this one.I just don't bother going to Movies Much anymore. There really is not much that interests me.How many more movies will be good that are not simply remakes or sequels of other films.ooohh.. Spielberg... Big deal, he used someone else's script and modified it for current day.Insert Other movie names here...Wow, another remake. What else is new...I choose to pass on this one.Maybe when they start making good original movies I may see something I like, but until then, they can charge the sheepple whatever they like, and they'll just keep coming.I do enjoy reading that overall movie viewings here in the states continue to decline. I wonder why. ;-)As for Cruise, looks like he's gone wacky and now is taking someone else with him. Oh well.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]
  3. >Hello,>>i am looking for a good cessna 172 or 182 payware or freeware>add-on. Any suggestions welcome. Can anyone rate the Flight 1>add-ons for cessna?>>tnx>EricHi Eric,The FREEWARE Real Air 172 with an excellent flight model does just fine for me, performance to real numbers is excellent, IMHO.There are also some repaints which make it look very nice. This is the plane I use to keep my familiarity up when I'm not flying. It's available here in the library. Here is the link:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04ac&DLID=37254File Description:RealAir's Cessna 172Sp, fully compatible with FS2004 and commissioned by the Aeronautical Industry Training Centre at the Kangan Batman Tafe in Melbourne, for use in their pilot training programme. This new version will now spin and sideslip in FS2004 and contains a custom exterior, enhanced sounds and re-designed flight model. Previous version for Fs2002 exceeded 40,000 downloads worldwide. And this one has over 35,900+ Downloads which must mean something good. :-)And a Very Nice Repaint:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...acrp&DLID=66409Eric, I also have started a thread on quality Freeware offerings in our hobby which others have graciously contributed to as well. After you grab the RealAir FREEWARE 172, take a peek, and see if something else piques your interest.Freeware Thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=260713&page=3I also recommend the Freeware Cirrus SR-20 also available here:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04ac&DLID=66089Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  5. Hi Graeme,In the meantime while you await the other release, you can fly the Older, but still capable FREEWARE Cirrus available here in the library. No Glass, as its modeled on an older aircraft, but Visually, very well done, IMHO.They are also working on a Glass version but it will be a bit from what I understand. Here is the link to the FREEWARE version, and some Freeware repaints. 7. Hi,Glad you enjoyed the links. There is plenty to go around, and many great contributors. This weekend alone has produced some worthy add-ons to the list including the B-29 Super Fortress as well as the Beech.Hers is an interesting one I grabbed today. It's called Animal Simulation, and let's you apparently fly an Eagle, A flock of Geese, or a Killer whale.Great stuff. :-)FS9 Animal Simulation:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04ac&DLID=69243B29 Super Fortresshttp://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04ac&DLID=69101Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  9. **My Links to Great FREEWARE Add-Ons**Hi all,Well by reading some of the responses here in the forums, one would think you have to spend a whole bunch of money buying add-ons to gain any sense of enjoyment out of FS. :-lol :-lolI disagree with that, and I recommend you try some of the excellent FREEWARE add-ons available without having to simply take the word of someone whether a product is good or not.Not knowing what your system specs are, I would be cautious before simply buying anything, I've read quite a few threads here about stutters, slide show performance, low FPS, etc. with all kinds of payware add-ons. Equally however, there will always be some who claim outstanding performance no matter what add-on is released. :-lol :-lol Buyer beware, IMHO.So what I have done for the members here, is put together an alternative list of FREEWARE add-ons which I use and have gained some enjoyment out of using. 13. So did they put in the sliders or not. Come on man, everyone is waiting. :-lol :-lolI saw the screenies for that, looks pretty good, although the road traffic needed to be increased big time. Those are some of the busiest intersections in Chicago. Also I disagree with the price-point, so I won't be buying it. I just don't think $21.50 for only one Airport is a bargain. But I understand others are willing to buy it, so good for them. It does look pretty good. Those who buy it, list your system specs and framerates so folks don't get dissapointed.Enjoy your airport,Joe Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  15. You said:"I just thought it was misleading to make it sound as if they were only available on SOH."It's not misleading. You know what they say about assuming. :-lol :-lolIn order to download files at Sim-Outhouse, you have to be registered and logged in. If you read something else into that, that's your concern, not mine. Next time maybe you should ask for the context instead of reading into it what you feel like reading into it.There are files in that list that are not available here, and I choose where to link them to.Thanks for your contribution to the thread though. 16. Hi Sherman,Hope things are going well for you back there. I'm afraid this sounds like a scenery added a file that replaced a default one, and wherever that file is called out, it will appear. Can you remember which scenery you added since the last time you didn't notice cactus growing on the vines at Wrigley? :-)There may have been something in the readme about it for the scenery you installed. I know Palm Springs had one I made a backup for regarding taxiway textures.Perhaps a Screenshot to show us in a popular area so we can see which was replaced.I also did a search for cact* in my FS9 folder and did not come up with any hits. Perhaps do a search with cact* including the wildcard * using your search tool for windows and let's see what comes up.Then maybe we can figure this out.I do have cactus in my kids Sim City 3000 Folder though. :-)Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

I appreciate it. :-)And ummm yes, I'm a GA Guy when it comes to Flight Simming. :-)Maybe someone can add their list with links for the Commercial or Heavies. Hint Hint, any takers??I know Eric Cantu has an awesome 727, and I did list the Freeware Concorde. ;-)Project Opensky has also done some awesome work for the community. 18. For those of us that enjoy 2D panels, the Tomahawk and 152 work fine for me on my system. I really don't get bent up on missing an animated prop. :-lolMy 14 year old is beginning lessons this summer, and the 152 works fine for him and I, on things that matter like procedures, air files, and most of all, recognition of panel instruments compared to the real thing. we use the Real Air 172 for the same reasons. :-)As for the availability of files elsewhere or even here. I'm not plugging anyone. Since it's my list, I choose where to link them to. I figured this was an easy way to group them. Feel free to begin your own thread if you dislike my format though. ;-)If you do have a FREEWARE add-on that you enjoy that is not listed, feel free to add it to the thread, I'm sure folks would appreciate that. 21. Hi,It's always a tough choice.I upgraded from a FX5600 to a Radeon 9600xt, and was very pleased. But my 9600XT only cost me $110.00 :-)I would recommend you wait a bit and let the prices drop. I really feel a card like yours or mine could get you through over say the next 6 months or so.That card may be 50% less by then, who knows.I would look at the benchmark sites like guru3d and see some comparisons between the two and see if the high cost is really justified or not.9800 Pro is a very good card for this current sim. You may only gain a few FPS in certain situations depending on the rest of your system.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  25. I also recommend Atlanta's Hartsfield which is also one of the worlds busiest as far as traffic goes. For Benchmarking, I usually just use Seattle, and crank up the traffic. You Have two airports near each other, as well as mountains and water. That combination IMHO, is a good area to bench FS.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]
