  1. Disable it the proper way, which is how Microsft recommends you do so. You don't need another program to do this.Fix here:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/s...e/stopspam.mspxRegards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]
  2. Ahhhh... The memories.I use to have the same problem a few years ago.I suggest you switching around your devices, so the Yoke is plugged directly into a USB Port on the board, instead of the hub, and assign something else to the hub. printer, Keyboard, etc....Also is your hub self powered or does it draw power from the board. If it is not self powered, it may be drawing too much. Just brain storming here.CH and Hubs don't get along very well in all cases. Might depend on hub manufacturer, who knows.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  5. Hi,While the vids and screenshots look great, I was the one who listed concerns in the other thread. I also feel the developer has enough time to address and belay the concerns with proper actions. Here is what I have written in the other thread.**************Keep in mind while you view this add-on, the little disclaimer they attached over at their site in their forum. It seems many of the vids and screen caps include quite a few other add-ons to create their views. And other add-ons means money of course to get the same effect.Once you add in those other costs, it's pretty expensive. They are also charging for Each season separately. Ahhh, The trend continues. Break up as much as you can into as many different chunks. Oh well. To each his own. It's about the money of course.I'd like to see these on a stock system with no add-ons to really see what the product does or does not do. Just a stock video comparing default location to Bird's Eye.I also see a lot of NON-default Roads, so you will need roads to get the same effect as well.I also think each Video should be listed as what specific add-ons are being used so consumers are not mislead into thinking the product is something it is not.Perhaps a disclaimer should be stated on the front page of the site, so consumers are not surprised when their use conflicts with what the beta testers are seeing.I viewed the Ohio and Seattle Vids, and they are excellant, however, we should be advised specifically what add-ons are used.I also don't like the fact that there is no ABOUT Page or info on the team developing this. No Company Info, Address, Contact info, NAMES of Team members, no where on the site that I could find. Another Anonymous Developer. Whois shows domain registered to Tucows in California. If they are in California, they are required to list name, address, phone, etc... Know who you do business with folks. I recommend birds-eye add these things before release.Good Luck with your release.Regards,JoeFrom:http://www.flightsim-bevs.com/smf_1-0-5/index.php?topic=10.0"We understand that the feedback from the BEV demo videos and screenshots is overwhelmingly positive. However, we also feel obliged to tell you that BirdsEyeView installed with Flight Simulator, while being a significant part of the enhancement, cannot achieve the level of detail you see in the screenshots alone. Most of the BEV beta testers have the following addons installed:1. Ultimate Terrain - Canada, Alaska, USA2. FSGenesis 76m or 38m mesh for most areas of USA/Canada, 9m mesh for Grand Canyon3. FSGenesis USA Landclass project (or other enhanced landclasses)4. Enhanced clouds and/or weather using either/or Flight Environment 2004 or ActiveSky V (ASV)Please keep this in mind when viewing the screenshots and videos. BEV, while certainly enjoyable as a stand alone addition to your FS, was created to be a complimentary addon and when used in conjunction with other scenery enhancement creates a world that is several steps beyond the default product . 7. >Has anyone ever wondered why the Shuttle only began having>poroblems with the foam debris since about '97 or so?>>Well I know the answer and its a little disturbing.>That is not true about the dates of problems. This goes way back, and it is by a Company called Michoud.STS-1 ET-1 Columbia 4/12/81 ETAll or part of 16 orbiter tiles were lost and148 others damaged during the mission.STS-3 ET-3 Columbia 3/22/82 ETThirty-six orbiter tiles and portionsof 19 others were lost during the mission.STS-27 ET-23 Atlantis 12/2/1988 LWTAtlantis sustained extensive tile damageon liftoff primarily due to debris from thesolid rocket boosters.STS-86The STS-86 mission revealed a similar damage patternbut to a much lesser degree than STS-87. The STS-86tile damage was accepted ruled as an unexplainedanomaly because it was a night launch and did notprovide the opportunity for the photographic evidence theSTS-87 mission did. A review of the records of theSTS-86 records revealed that a change to the type offoam was used on the external tank. From: http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/space/updates/sto32.htmlNOT DISCLOSED BY MichoudSTS-87Columbia sustained extensive tiledamage during launch.ALSO:The pattern of hits did not follow aerodynamic expectations, and thenumber, size and severity of hits were abnormal. Three hundredand eight (308) hits were counted during the inspection, one hundredand thirty two (132) were greater than one inch. Some of the hitsmeasured fifteen (15) inches long with depths measuring up toone and one-half (1 1/2) inches. Considering that the depth of thetile is two (2) inches, a 75% penetration depth had been reached.Over one hundred (100) tiles have been removed from theColumbia because they were irreparable. The inspection revealedthe damage, now the "detective process" began. From: http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/space/updates/sto32.htmlSTS-112Disclosed by NASA at Press Conference- Not disclosed by Michoud on website.STS-107Self-ExplanatoryI've done a bit of research on this right after Columbia went down.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  11. >It would be best to post this question at the Flight1 support>forums at: blah...blah...blah....>How about he posts where he wants to.It would be best if Flight1 provided support where it says we should go, but that is not the case.Even the AOPA site doesn't say to seek help at that forum. It says to seek support at the AOPA Forums, but it seems flight1 is blowing some people off over there. There are several open issues where there has been no response. And I've just visited the link you posted, and they are blowing off support posts about the Commander there as well. Well, OShkosh has been over for a week, what is the excuse now?Quote:"For assistance installing or using the software, log on to AOPA's online Aviation Forums and then click on the AOPA Software Support" section."Just another thing that needs to be corrected with this release.Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]
  12. >Hi guys>>What would be the recommended mic/headset type for use in FS>for online flying with say vatsim or other?Save your money, don't spend it on hype, and get a simple noise canceling headset and mic set.I use one from Logitech, which you can get for $14.00 from Newegg.Logitech:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16826106932Wal-mart sometimes sells them depending on the store. I got mine for I think $12 or $13, I don't remember. For me, it works great, The In-line Volume and Mic Mute button is a nice touch, and I use this one for all my Voice recognition. FS9, OpenOffice, sometimes this forum etc.....And if you get it, and don't like it, return it , then spend more money. I see no reason to spend $70 - $80 dollars for something that will do the job well for less than $15.Good Luck,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]
  13. Simple Fix,Delete whatever software that is owned by Microsoft that you do not have a legal right to use, and there will be no problems. The Only Paid MS program I use is XP Pro. Anything else of theirs that I use is Free.IE - Only for UpdatesMoviemakerMedia EncoderFor all my Office Stuff, I use OpenOffice.orgThe last Time I used office was when I had Word 2000 stand alone, and it wouldn't work with xp, nor would my legal version of office. So I said forget them, and never looked back. I have yet to find something that I cannot do in my personal and business life with OpenOffice that would require me to have MS product. NOTHING.Face it, you can either support them, by their rarely updated office crap, or find an alternative source. I choose the alternative.100% Freeware for Private or Commercial entities.http://www.openoffice.orgAs to them scanning, I really don't have a problem with that, but then again, I don't have anything to worry about either. :-)Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

  18. Hi Matt,Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it. :-)Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.I think it is the Freeware set that is out there. But I'm not sure.I believe it is this set, but a lot of people have different favorites:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...scen&DLID=42746I did the flight out of TNCM, so some of that may be the default mixed in, I'm not sure.By the way, you also might enjoy Guenter's Freeware Cirrus SR20 if you haven't grabbed that one yet. 19. Hi Adam,I agree, it is one fine aircraft. Over 7760+ Downloads plus on the other sites where it is hosted. They did an awesome time, and if one follows the procedure for Parachute deployment, it works pretty well. Thanks again, Guenter. There are also some repaints available. 25. Ok, it could be the script you are using may have problems in the code. Now, before you get all upset, I have Firefox, and your site works fine for me.I also reluctantly loaded up my IE, and hovering my mouse over the "links" or other menu choices under Navigation causes no script error on my end, and seems to work fine when I clicked, so it could be your setting on your machine, possibly your security settings within IE.I also recommend you get Firefox, if only to test your website for functionality on both platforms. I use Firefox, but I test functionality on my sites with IE as well.So it all works for me on both browsers, all pages.Hope you get it sorted.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]
