  1. Hi guys,Checking In...I registered at the forum.I have a newer Computer, bigger, better, & faster than last year. :-)I'll chime in at the private place and continue to post FAQ's, etc, general tips here...Best Regards,Joe
  2. Of course, I will be there as well.As to Route, most of that planning will be partly behind the scenes once the rules are announced. For those of you who are new, Welcome Aboard. The best thing you can do to learn is begin reading some of last years threads here in this forum.I will also be putting together a links list, and my tips list from last year for pilots. You will also be required to use program called Duenna. It is a flight log and cheat protector to ensure each pilot follows the rules, and also verifies through FS that you did the correct route, aircraft, speed, etc....I'll add some more later today, heading out to a party right now.Take care all, and Go Team AVSIM!Best Regards,Joe
  3. Well, it also shows how well designed wingtip flight film flight recorders have come.Maybe he starved it somehow, or thought he had more fuel in there than he actually had.At least he survived...
  4. What I CHOOSE to do when making it easier to follow my own posts is my choice. If I want to change the subject line, I can do as I please.Don't agree with it, oh well. :-) :-)IMHO, this is one more criminal I don't have to worry about blowing something up.*****************You said:>>AS LONG AS We are changing headlines shall we cut to the>chase?
  5. I read the 777 Story before, but had not heard about the Bus...With the 777, sounds like another example of developers putting a product into the retail market and the end user ends up being the beta tester who discovers all the bugs.....Hmmmmm..... Irony, I think not. :-)
  6. And my contention is thatFirst of all, ANYONE who is serious about blowing up an airliner (or anything) and announces his intentions running across the plane and screaming of having a bomb, is indeed UNSTABLE and who cares if they are on meds or not.You said:"I think this incident was completely avoidable and maybe the Air Marshal should have been trained a little bit better in human psychology."And I am satisfied he was trained properly to stop his target from advancing his stated crime. You said:"I actually had to shake my head when they ultimately blew up the bag of the deceased on the tarmac. That was a tad over the edge, don't you think?"NO, it is proper procedure to detonate an unknown device. Would you rather have seen a Bomb Tech blown up and killed as he opened it up? You can shake your head all you want. In this case, it was the right thing to do.There are many instances in the past where a hijacker, YES, declares they have a bomb. They are all NUTCASES, and mentally deficient, IMHO, and I guess this TERRORIST should have stopped. He was ok enough to state he had a bomb. That Agent performed his duty that my tax dollars paid for him to do. he protected lives in this case, apparently hit his intended target and nothing or no one else, and the only one dead was the ALLEGED CRIMINAL who broke the law.I have heard enough on this to state it was a Justified action in my opinion.
  7. That is One Sweet aircraft. Another fine addition. Thanks for posting the link.Regards,Joe
  8. Not only that, but in the FREEWARE thread I started, out of all those FREEWARE Links, There is NOT ONE FILE link from the allnodesarebusy place. :-)Wasn't sure they still existed or not. ;-)FREEWARE Thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search
  9. Sonar5

    X-MAS bulb?

Simple....I've found that every single Christmas light burns the exact amount of time it takes to get to the middle of a Tootsie Roll Pop.123 etc.......See, that was easy.... :-)Regards,Joe
  10. Same Here,Thunderbird all the way.http://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird
  11. Sorry, but I'm done commenting on that segment.
  12. Just took her for a quick spin around the Patch. (F70 to PSP). :-)Nice aircraft, and I promise to put it through its paces.I just want to say thanks to the REAL Authors of this AIcraft. Great job team, and I appreciate the hard work and effort you put into it.Best Regards,JoeSo thanks to:This aircraft is made by : Model Designer : Michel Migaud, Cyril BretonFlight Dynamics Designer : Jean-Pierre Bourgeois, Benoit Dub
  13. It really is a nice aircraft judging from the screenshots.I have been waiting for it for a while now. I just downloaded it, and am looking forward to flying it.As for the negative comments about it, well to each his own, and this aircraft, I choose to own. :-)
  14. Tom,He came right out and accused the Author of something. Is that ok for him to do?Please read what he wrote. To me, that is what is disappointing.I'll leave it at that.Regards,Joe
  15. >What is terribly disappointing is the complete lack of gauge>backlighting in the VC at night, in spite of my conversation>with Cyril and his assurances that it would be included...>>>Just so we know, it's ok to question what a freeware author does, and say you are disappointed...Ok.. Just checking and keeping this post for the future. :-)Of course I could post what the payware authors write when someone posts a similar thought, but this is about the TBM so I won't do so right now.
  16. Surprise....Not me.... :-)
  17. Hi Erik,Great news. I think the whole thing looks kind of cool. And I bet they saved a whole bunch in R&D by using the best designs and technologies already in place with the 787 and the 747.Thanks for the heads up. :-)Regards,Joe
  18. Your quite welcome Scott.Glad you found it. :-)Regards,Joe
  19. Hi Jeroen,Type in "ematch sim", in google, and you do get fs-add on links for an ematch company, including past links from Avsim. However some of those links for the company no longer work like the uk link.So it appears to be legit to me anyway. :-)Just goes to show some people in the fs add on business actually admit to making money instead of playing victim all the time. ;-)Regards,Joe
  20. >Hello.>>I was wondering How do you set the speed bug on the Eaglesoft>Citation X? I haven't been able to find the control for the>speed bug setting.>>Thanks,>>Scott :-)Hi Scott, I hope someone here answers your question. :-)You shouldn't feel like you have to go somewhere else to get answers. This is what makes Avsim the best place and you would think instead of sending you elsewhere and wasting more of your time that the above poster could have easily answered your question in the same, if not less time than he took to send you somewhere else.So much for customer service. I'm happy he placed his link for his payware site though. :-)But I'll do one better, here is the link to the manual without you having to drop by any other site.http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/docs/CXmanual_E.zipYou can then open up the manual and do a keyword search for "speed" in the PDF, and get all kinds of suggestions. I don't own it, but I hope this helps you out. :-)Good Luck,Joe
  21. You can Visit The Freeware Thread for options as well.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchHope This Helps,Joe
  22. Hi,Not sure if you decided yet, but there is another option for you , a Freeware flight Planner called Super Flight Planner by Alessandro Antonini. It's 100% FREEWARE. Give it a try, as you may find it serves your needs without having to buy something else.Super Flight Planner:http://www.cpinf.info/web/products.phpHope This Helps,Joe
  23. Actually, it is a Combination of several things that attract the chickies.1) AOPA Sticker....2) I'd rather be rock climbing License plate holder....3) Football Coach hat and shirt on game day (Chicks don't care if your 3-5 right now, they just dig the coach thing)....Then the chicks always hit on you...Be right back, wife is calling. ;-)What....Honey... Yes of course I'm writing about you......Umm ok, only my wife of 17 years hits on me in those instances, but a man can dream can't he?In regards to the AOPA membership. I get a hat, a sticker, another yellow 6 inch ruler, Pilot Magazine, and I spring for the Flight Training Magazine as well. You also get to fly a sim commander as part of your membership dues.Sim Commander for AOPA Members Onlyhttp://www.aopa.org/sweeps/fly/Now, I'll be sitting by the phone awaiting my call this weekend that I just won N112WN, and will go on the Tour to the Bahamas as well next year.http://www.aopa.org/sweeps/There are quite a few benefits for pilots and sim-pilots alike.I hear they also have forums where we can talk politics, too. ;-)Regards,Joe
  24. Here is one, and then he links to the others in his blogroll on the left side.http://blogs.msdn.com/tdragger/default.aspx
  25. >"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. :-)I'm still using the Omega 2.6.42 Drivers and have not had any issues or problems in months...I think I am pretty much done upgrading anything for hopefully a year or so.
