  6. Gurus,Is it possible to give a tick18_ object an LOD? What would you need to do?I tried to name my object "tick18_van_LOD99" then linked the LOD object and named it "van_LOD80" and it did not work. It just displayed the LOD80 object.ThanksShez
  7. I apologise but I cannot help here as I do not have MegaSc. Someone else with Megascenery able to help here?Shez
  8. Guys I apologise but PC and Cowl have caught it. There is an issue with building crashes, just one of those things which gets missed out during all the testing :(I will put up the fix tomorrow along with the UPS addon.Shez
  9. Let me look at this later. Did not see this earlier. One of the issues with this scenery is the number of addon mesh sceneries and ground environment upgrades available for socal. Users are genuinely having a problem with this and unfortunately since I do not own these other addons I cannot replicate these issues. However, I will try and correct anything which I can see as a problem on my comp. Thanks to everyone on this thread.Shez
  10. Gurus,How do you remove the night lights (Ambient colour) from an object if you have previously applied it? I have tried unchecking the "ambient colur" box, reduced its opacity to zero, etc. but nothing seems to work.ThanksShez
  11. Thanks Arno, Bob,I guess I will export with the FS2002 version.RegardsShez
  12. Thanks Bob, I guess this cannot be done in the FS2004 export version? But is there no way within GMAX of merging the objects one on top of the other so that the bottom one loses its attributes?Shez
  13. Thanks Bob, what I am really looking for is to do a ground polygon with one polygon on top of another. Because the polygons are very thin height-wise the lower tends to show through the upper. For eg. if we had two planes one on top of the other, how would you 'paste/attach' one on top of the other so the lower one does not show through at all?Shez
  14. How does one combine two objects. For eg. I have two polygons one 0.5m in depth and another 0.7m in depth. How to merge them together so that the thicker one shows on top of the slimmer one?ThanksShez
  15. Thanks Luis, That is a very interesting side-effect.Shez
  16. Gurus,Quick question: Does it make it more efficient code-wise if one groups objects together when constructing complex objects in GMAX (i.e.jetways)?RegardsShez
  17. Unfortunately what has happened there is that when I textured it for snow and then converted to FS2004 textures it turned some of the white to pink. If it is causing you much bother I can send you an amended texture to see if it resolves this.Shez
  18. pink colour? where? Maybe I can resolve that for you.Shez
  19. Jim,Are you available to help out on approaches for my upcoming Ontario and Long Beach sceneries?RegardsShez
  20. Thanks Lou, works now. I think I was messing up the materials somehow.Shez
  21. Thanks Lou,Been trying that but it does not work. Will report back.Shez
  22. Gurus,Am not getting night lighting to work with 3d objects MDLs developed in GMAX. What are the steps to take here with the ambient lighting?ThanksShez
