  1. I transited through this airport yesterday. Very nice and simple airport and from what I hear a major improvement on the old airport. Was pretty busy throughout. Lots of international traffic came through in the evening. Strange seeing a NWA 757, a COA 764, and a COA 738 there...I think some of the Japanese designers who have already done some fantastic work on Japanese airports will render a version but as this airport has just opened we might have to wait a while.Shez
  2. Thanks Arno,Did you check the bgl file this generated? It is for Burbank Airport. Did it exclude the autogen there? I guess if the RCall command does not work I will have to use a scenegenx taxi underlay.RegardsShez
  3. Thanks Arno.I assume the RotatedCall is for the sca file? Would appreciate it if you could "spoon-feed" me the command to be included? As for the XML I think you mean just import the sca file into SceneGenX and compile?RegardsShez
  4. Hi Arno,I am attaching a 'Bumpy' created file. The file appears to be excluding all the autogen around the airport. Would it be possible to have a look at the code to see why this is happening?ThanksShez
  5. You need to seek out an addon AFCAD file either here at avsim or on some other site and that will resolve this issue.Shez
  6. Thanks for the tip. I have another question, for auto-checking of downloaded files which one of the various exe files should be specified in Download Accelerator?ThanksShez
  7. Thanks Chaps, glad you guys enjoy the works.BUR and ONT are in the plan correct.;) but I am not particularly hung-up on socal airports, it is just that my concentration is on second-tier airports and these are good examples. I leave it to the big boys to do the big airports.RegardsShez
  8. Do you have any addon scenery installed?Shez
  9. No but you can export the flight plan to FS GPS format and view the flight on the FS GPS as a moving map. That is what I do when I fly (mostly online), export to squawkbox and FS GPS and open both. The SB FMS has an advantage that it can manage the VNAV and LNAV and also has a basic flight map, the FS GPS can display all the terrain too (without having a VNAV capability nor the ability to amend the waypoints in flight).RegardsShez
  10. I could not open the article but having read other forums on this I think it is worth investing in an A2. Thanks for your usual support info.RegardsShez
  11. OK thanks guys, I think an Audigy 2 might be in the offing then...RegardsShez
  12. My EPOX EP-K8DA3+ motherboard sound card (Realtek) is pretty good and sounds are also top notch. I have an older Audigy lying around which I could put in to the board. Do you think it would be worth it? Will it free up resources on the MB for other tasks? What advantage if I upgrade to the newer Audigy cards?ThanksShez
  13. There is a program freeware available here at AVSIM which I use for taxiway location identification. I think it is called Airport Chart Viewer or something similar. This installs as a module in FS2004 and detects all AFCADs/Airport diagrams and allows you to view them within FS as an airport diagram with all taxiways/runways and their designators. I think it is a brilliant program and much more realistic than using progressive taxi. Whenever I get an instruction to "taxi via..." I just open it and follow the diagram on the program. It detects your aircraft and shows a crosshair to show your position. Try it.Shez
  14. Thanks Greg! The reinstallation of the MB drivers did the trick. Strangely the DX reinstallation did not produce any activity and it quickly gave a message that "files are updated". Never mind, all's well that ends well"...Thanks again!Shez
  15. I was running my X800Pro quite happily the other day when I decided to check benchmark among different driver sets. I was running the card on the Omega 2.5.97a and then tested it against the 2.5.90 drivers. Everything was fine and I thought the 97a might be better so decided to uninstall the 90s and install the 97a again and that is where it all went wrong...1) I used the normal method of uninstalling the 90 drivers and the installation files, and used Driver Cleaner 3 to remove remnants2) I installed the 97a and the small Radlinker fix, but this is where windows installer went into a loop on installing Radlinker, and subsequently the drivers are not being recognised.I did the whole process of uninstalling/installing again and no joy, still the same result. Windows does not crash and neither does the screen go blank but the Omega drivers are not being recognised. I am seeing quite a few entries for the X800 series cards in the hardware installation screens and it even loads the driver but then no Radlinker or any of the advanced ATI settings for AA/AF. The installation process is performing as normal except that it asks for the "driver signing" twice for the primary and secondary each (previously once per card). The one other thing I notice is that the VGA driver is not available and the default driver is some "VGA Save" device.Even tried the Catalyst drivers but the AA/AF settings are non-existent.The card otherwise is fine.Anyone have an idea what the trouble is? I would really like to avoid a new installation of Windows!Shez
  16. Thanks Greg, I never did realise that the DDR means 475 is the actual reading equivalent to 900, very interesting. I did get the clock speeds up but I fear they are dangerously close to lock-ups and I did some more experimenting and found out something interesting. The fps in FS2004 is actualy higher at the stock clock speeds than the higher clock speeds! Atleast 6-9fps on average variance. I guess I will have to experiment a bit more. With my older 9600SE the opposite was true and I used to get a very noticeable boost in performance with overclocking.Shez
  17. Just got an X800Pro. I installed the Omega drivers and found that the base clock speed is 472 core /452 memory. I have taken this up to 550/500 with Radlinker but anything above this causes artifacts and lock-ups. Does anyone have any experience with overclocking the X800 series? I read somewhere that the core speed of the X800Pro is 500Mhz and the memory speed is 950Mhz? However I cannot ever reach the memory speed of 950Mhz. Any thoughts?Shez
  18. Hi Jim,Need to discuss something about my Cleveland scenery. I have an update which I want to discuss with you because your AFCAD is being overwritten with the new data from the extended 6L/24R.RegardsShez
  19. Tom,Thanks for putting in the effort to develop this. I like it although I have a couple of comments,1) This EULA may cause users (especially the younger ones) to worry about the implications of using the file and cause them not to download the file, a similar situation to free music downloads from the internet2) The second question is around the use of freeware tools for creating what now becomes payware. Will this infringe on the usage rights of these programs?I think both of the above points are covered but it still is worth discussing.ThanksShez
  20. Tom,I checked the site but strangely it appears that only one advertiser is displaying a banner there (igfly). The rest appear to be FSPlanet's own banners or ads for the store. Could it be advertisers are shunning the site?Shez
  21. See fix for this at the AVSIM library.RegardsShez
  22. I find some of the best panels are by Ken Mitchell and I use his A3xx panel for the IFDG A320 series. His B73NG panel is also excellent.Shez
  23. It is the cargo specific model. If you download the DHL USA model from AVSIM I think you will get the F model.Shez
