Yes, I got it sorted out: It was indeed the strangest behaviour I got in all these years of FS! Do you have Orbx? I have FTX Global and OpenLC Europe. I just uninstall/reinstall these and everything worked find after that - it was certainly a corruption in any of the FTX files that caused the problem. Good luck!

UK2000 website indicates that their airports are P3D4 compatible. Yet on installation there is no option for P3D4 - only for FSX. I reckon we have just to point to P3D4 corresponding folders, isn't it? PS: Just installed the Newcastle demo but P3D4 crashes when EGNT is selected

I do have the Duke in FSX - can I use the new installer to install it also in P3D or an appropriate license is required?

Yes, you are quite right ...strange, very strange issue. I spent a few hours moving an aircraft around and it is clear that the area I pointed out in my message has some problems! But when I updated to 4.1 eveything was fine. Go figure!

I made a little research and found out that the area is bigger....II have this issue ....joystick freezes and I cannot open the addons menu in P3D4 and select, for example, the FSUIPC menu if I select any place between longitudes (at any latitute) to the left of E15 and to the right of W75 (it covers from Western Europe to the New York state in the USA) . Why this (such big) area? Is too big to be the Bermudas triangle... Do these numbers make any sense to anyone? I believe I have to start thinking to uninstall/reinstall all addons and P3D4. Thanks

I installed version 4.1 of P3D4 and everything went fine and all was working as it should be (Orbx, PMDG, FsLabs A320X, etc.). Yet suddenly (cannot precise what trigged this ...) I start facing a strange problem!! I start P2D4 OK with default airplane and location. All is working. Now if I change the location to any place in Europe, my joystick freezes and I cannot access to the various items at the add-ons menu in P3D4 (such as FSUIPC, GSX, etc.)!! What is really confusing is that if I change from the default scenario to any other airport outside Europe all is OK (America, Asia, Australia...): It is just airports in Europe that give this problem. Moreover, to eliminate errors form any of my addons, I run the sim with a plain vanilla scenery.cfg and no addons - same problem! Also, I reinstalled v4.1 and performed a repair in P3D4 but the problem still persists! That is really strange and I run out of ideas. Can someone point me to any direction to sort out this issue? Many thanks for this great product! Allow me a question: you mention in the installation notes that FTX Vectors or similar product is recommended. Yet at Orbx website it is indicated that FTX Vectors require Orbx Global previously installed. This means that in fact it is recommend not one but these two products ...that are on sale through August 22....tempting.... Am iI right? Could you please clarify? I am using P3D4. Many thanks!

It seems I fixed this issue (...not quite sure how, anyway...).

My PC just installed (on its own...) the Creator´s update. On the beginning I just got minor issues but today it surfaced a major one - my home network has been messed up! I made a search and it seems this is a very common issue, It seems it is a Creator´s update driven problem. In my case my main PC (that has the Creator´s update) sees OK my laptop but I cannot access my main PC from the laptop (nor can I have access to the FS shared drives/folders). It requests a username/password to access but I don´t have any! Does anyone faced this issue and most importantly has a solution? Those I found at the net didn´t solve this problem. Anybody tried WOAI traffic in P3D v4? I did ....copied the relevant files from P3D3. The aircraft show up but their body is black (not the tails though...) even with shadows unselected on simobjects.. Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this issue? Thanks

I did not like, as another poster said, the ..."same old bland and dull colors and lighting". May be it depends on monitor calibration but I use the same monitor for other simulators. I made a flight around my home airport (LPPT) and the scenery was far from to be real or nice. Aircraft were apparently well modelled and fluid. I have problems with my T-rudder pedals (similarly to other users that also reported this issue) - rudder is OK but cannot get left/right toe-brakes. This is just an initial "feeling" of FSW. My (very) first impressions were far beyond my expectations.!

My feelings also....I don´t know why but FS98 times came to my mind....with the due respect (and overstate...).

I just got FSW and made a 20-minute flight. It did not match my expectations. It is a "game" and I believe it is addressed to other type of people than those that hang out at Avsim! I think that for hard-core simmers P3D is the way to go!.
