  1. >>The FeelThere ERJ's are perfect, no need for another one...>>>>Read the review by Zane:>>http://www.avsim.com/pages/0505/ERJ/ERJ.htm>>>As I said previosly a bit outdated as far as todays planes.I>Own both the erj and the crj and I feel they are not even>close to a PMDG,DreemFleet,or LDS.I refuse to purchase anymore>feelthere products as I returned that dreadful plane they>called a 737 ....>>AndyBut you kept the ERJ and CRJ?? The 737 has the edge on the both the ERJ and CRJ, but all three are just fine.
  2. >Go into the 2D panel and right click the 'NAV' button. There>are two modes to choose from. One is for GPS and the other is>for ILS... A tell tell sign to go by is to look for the red>lettering that says 'IRS/NAV' on the ND screen when on>approach. That's the right option for landing and/or>capturing the localizer/glideslop... Thanks Dillon,I had tried the right click via the manual, but there is an exact spot to click on that Nav button, and I was missing it.One last thing that I can't find in the manual, My EICAS 2 show weight in Kilograms while my FMS shows it in Lbs. How can I get that EICAS to show it in Lbs. also? Thanks for your help.
  3. Hey Dillon,The one problem I have is the the Approach mode. I set everything up in the FMS and the approach stuff shows up in the EICAS. I get a localizer but never a glideslope bar at all. If I'm in the aprroach mode the plane will follow the localizer but then start climbling looking for the glideslope. What am I missing??
  4. Nav 1 and 2 needs to be on the ILS Freq.
  5. Use Active sky and it happens in FS9.
  6. Kenny,Not so much looking for waypoints as much as just out of the way airports that might look like fun to fly to. I also use Flightaware for flight planning and then copy and paste into Fsbuild. The problem is ( Which is not a huge deal ) Flightaware has some issues with ICAO codes, especially in Alaska, and of course there is no data for VFR aircraft flying to some of those remote places.I put FScommander the Demo on my WideFS machine and am going to mess around with it. But when I fly with FS9 I can always take some time and just explore Alaska and Canada with FSnav and write down the spots that look like fun. Like I said, not a big deal at all.
  7. Thanks for the reply's guys, I like FS Commander just not sure if I want to spend $45 on it right now. FSX is still by far my second choice of sims, so I really don't want to throw alot of money into it. I did download the Demo and put it on my Wide FS machine so things might change quicky. Thanks for the help!!
  8. Since I can't use FSX at major airports around the world I've been flying up in Alaska and Canada to remote airports. I'm not familar at all with airports in those regions, is there anything like FSnav or something online even where I can find airports for my next leg of the trip?
  9. >Just curious as to what the subtle changes are. I find>everything in regard to flight as an improvement, which>includes trim, the percieved feel, moving and changing>airmasses, and the crispness of cockpit/panel textures.I agree with you here. I've been doing some flying in Alaska and the flight enviroment is better. You can get a little bit of it with FS9 and ASV6.5 But overall it's better in FSX. Wow I agree with L. Adamson. :)
  10. Jim, We all want to move to FSX. In fact I somewhat have, I got it run it pretty well. But, the box specs are just plain stupid. You would agree with that I'm sure. That's all the orginal poster is stating.L. Adamson I'm not get into a pissing match with you. We all know your postion, it is well stated. Why you keep adding to discussions is almost comical at this point. Let me ask both of you this. I got FSX locked at 24, sliders all at half. Taxi out I stay between 17-20fps, takeoff maybe 15-18fps, climb out between 5,000 and 15,000 Frames drop to 5-7. I can't figure it out. I first I thought it was clouds, but that's not it. I can cruise over overcast sky's even with the draw distance at 80-100nm and stay strong @ 24fps. And this can be at JFK or Fairbanks Alaska, it does not matter. And, the more tweaking I do the worse it is. I'm back to a clean FSX config now, and somewhat happy with it.Any ideas??? L. Adamson do you see this? or any type of FPS reduction on climb out?
  11. >"Sorry, this has what to do with FS9????????">Actually it has alot to do with FS9 Jim!!!!!!Edit: Since I'm in a good mood Jim I'll explain. We are all forced back to FS9 due to horrible performance with FSX. I personally can't see how FSX would even start up with the Minimum Specs. on the box.See the end user is back to FS9, thus it's in this forum.
  12. I agree with both posts above. It's kinda addicting, I found myself searching out some Options flights on Flightaware.com and flying those routes as they do with the legacy. It's a good buy!! :)
  13. Hey guys, let me throw something in here. I'm going off memory a bit here since I am at work. But, in the setup utility there is a section for Graphics. When I bought the Legacy I noticed that it ran very well compared to the 145 by feelthere. I comapred the two graphic sections and noticed there are 5-6 different settings to mess with. I changed them to match each other and solved all my problems. The 737 I believe has the same deal and I believe by default they are all turned off. I will look when I get home or someone else can but for some of you guys with FR problems that might or should help you out a bit.
  14. Jim,I moved from FSUPIC 3.70 to 3.71 ( Did not realize there was an update) and that seemed to have fixed it. Two flights with 3.71 and after refresh the time stayed the same. So, odd problem solved!! :)
  15. Jim,The first of the hour, no matter what. At 2245z @ AI refresh the clock goes back to 2200z. etc.... Now it does not do it if I manually refesh the AI, if that helps you guys any. Not a huge problem though.
  16. Hey Jim,I noticed this today also. I do not use FS real time and it happens with the AI refresh. Build 536 is what I am using also. It's not a big deal you can reset the clock, but I can confirm it happens to me also.
  17. >PSS are more of a "that's too complex so we won't bother">attitude. Boy is that the truth!! :)
  18. I have to agree with Dillion this time L.Adamson.We all get it by now, you think FSX is the best thing since sliced bread. Who really cares?? It seems to be just you. And by yourself with your endless and most of it pointless rambling you keep the threads going.Just consider us all ignorant to your real world pilot savy and fly away.Whew, got that out of my system. Everyone have a wonderful Holiday Weekend and Season, and be safe!!!Edit: Third picture in the post up top L.Adamson. Where exactly is that?? I would like to compare with both FSX and FS9 for myself compared to your FSX.
  19. JD and support, I've searched the board and I see I can create my own callsigns. I'm just not sure I want to tinker with some of the RC4 files. And it might not be possible to create Allegiant. So if able and you get some time I would appreciate the "Allegiant" callsign. It's no hurry, I understand that this week is a busy one. Thanks!! :)
  20. Great post Mike, well thought out and written.
  21. Changed nothing really. FS machine besides the new purchases (CS C-130, added and updated some of my FSgenesis mesh) nothing has changed. WideFS machine updated FSflightkeeper to 2.8 and back a few months ago updated RC4 to 4.2 . Other than that nothing at all JD. Could it be something went bad in the RC4 update??
  22. JD, RayI noticed this a few weeks ago and I'm not sure if I'm going crazy but RC4 is not telling to hold short anymore, it will clear me to postion and hold right in front of a landing aircraft. I'm sure that it has told me to hold short before or just let me sit there until the landing plane has landed. I have rebuilt the database with no luck. It happened at KSAN and I noticed it tonight @ KSFO 28L.Running RC4 (the latest build) via wide FS.Any help or ideas would be appreciated. v :)Thanks!!
  23. James,I am also using AIsmooth. It solved alot of the problems you are having. I think it's on the Traffic 2005 website, but like Ray said it's here at Avsim also.
  24. Yep, intersection departures work fine.
  25. I tried it both ways with no luck. Unchecking the FSUPIC box like Ray suggested worked.
