  1. It could be one thing or many. So, I'll guess an issue with sound. Suggest ensuring the drivers for your sound card/board are current. I'm sure others will have other suggestions. Good luck.Dave Vega
  2. I think some of the statements made in the AVSIM review are more subjective than objective. As such, it could just be a matter of opinion. On the FMS, for example, when entering a route, it does not accept airways; all way points have to be entered manually. I don't know if that is how it works on a real CRJ2, but I doubt it. One of the entries is for the flight number, and though it can be entered, it reverts to a previously entered one. Fix is to search and edit a configuration file that stores a flight number among other parameters. This, of course, breaks the simulation. Throughout the screens available in the FMS, there are several options that when pressed result in INOP. Feelthere states that the product wasn't meant to be a complete simulation. The documentation included does not compare at all with PMDG or Level-D. Regrettably there isn't any other CRJ2 simulation available. Digital Aviation announced working on one some time ago, but they haven't produced it yet. See http://www.digital-aviation.de/crjsite/l_h...rj200_main.htmlI still use it because my VA has CRJ2 in its fleet. Would love to see another company develop such a popular jet. Regards,Dave Vega
  3. I also purchased this product when it came out. It is a good attempt to create a CRJ2 simulation given what the developers knew at the time. It was marketed as a "light" simulation, meaning some features were not included, specially on the flight management computer. It all depends on what kind of sim pilot are you. If you're expecting a PMGD or Level-D type simulation, the Wilco CRJ2 (by Feelthere) isn't that type. If you are looking for a light simulation, then I would suggest a CRJ2 by Project OpenSky (freeware) and a freeware panel, or the payware CRJ2 panel by SkyDecks. Dave Vega
  4. That is because you're missing that component in your computer and the application requires it. Please do an Internet search on it and you will find it. Have funDave Vega
  5. Willow,You can find a CRJ2 performance file for FSBuild here:http://www.fsbuild.com/forum/viewtopic.php...9&highlight=crjYou can also download this free utility for a CRJ2 that allows you to compute fuel, payloads, V speeds, etc., from http://www.flightsim.com. There you will have to log in and perform a file search for a file named crjplanr.zip. Hope this helps in your quest.Dave Vega
  6. I come here daily because I too use FS9 and appreciate the comments, reviews, and solutions shared by all. I do hope that it doesn't fade away as the FSX haters support group. Looking forward to a review of ImagineSim's newest release. Have fun, Dave Vega
  7. Recommend removing it from your computer and concentrating on something else. Life is too short to worry about little things. Dave Vega
  8. Have you tried real flying? Maybe it's time to walk away from the simulator and hit the real sky. I can tell you that there are no jaggies in the scenery you see, the frame rates are great, and the realism doesn't get better. What do you think?Dave Vega
  9. An option would be not to release an enhanced flight planner as part of a service pack, but as part of an enhancement package. This package could be marketted for the more serious users. In fact, it could be part of an "Ultimate" version for FSX. Dave Vega
  10. Speaking just for myself, I'm willing to bet that I have been waiting for this CRJ before they even thought of the Fokker. But, again, that's just me. Believe there was another plane before the Fokker that took also took the developers away from the CRJ project. Preempting such a popular airplane makes little sense. Plus the competition is weak at this time. There has to be some other reason why their CRJ has been delayed for so long. Dave Vega
  11. Sadly no. We hoped the one here http://www.digital-aviation.de/crjsite/l_h...rj200_main.html would have been out by now, and though their page had early pics, they've been removed. Enjoy life,Dave Vega
  12. For what is worth, I think you're doing the right thing. Have fun.Dave Vega
  13. Suggest checking the tutorials at your vendor's site. Check outhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/pages/down/docs.htmlHave fun,Dave Vega
  14. Eric,Thank you. A very interesting project, and a very interesting site.Kind regards,Dave Vega
  15. Hello Robert,Sounds like a very interesting project. Though I'm sure you'll get some answers in this forum, suggest also asking in the Home Cockpit Builders forum. Good luck with the project. I'm sure you're looking forward to pressing real buttons vs mouse clicks. Regards,Dave Vega
  16. Thank you for answering Tom. No offense meant. I will continue looking elsewhere. Dave Vega
  17. Has there been a change to the library system recently pushing the download differently now? Dave Vega
  18. I also have this problem. I've checked the download options and I can't find anything related to .zip files. The thing is that it has been working OK until a couple of days ago. I haven't changed any browser configurations. Help is appreciated.Dave Vega
  19. I deactivated my joystick and still get the memory error problem. I think I need an exorcist. :(Dave Vega
  20. Last I heard the draft manual was under revision. Perhaps I read that wrong. Would like to see what's there now, even if it is an incomplete project. Perhaps a better approach would be to finish the manual in a collaborative way. Others could jump in an complete/review it. I think we mousers are mature enough to be able to objectively collaborate in the completion of this document. I still have the list of several people, some of them actual B737-200 pilots, that were willing to help with the manual when I was doing it as part of the original Tinmouse project. What do you think?Dave Vega
  21. Kevin,I have the deluxe edition. Thank you for the article. I tried just about everything suggested in it. Did not reinstall FS-X. All my drivers are current. My specs are: AMD Athlom 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.41GHz1GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTXFSX runs ok on my setup, and I can run all the other missions. I've completed most of them. This is an interesting mystery but it's no big deal. If you happen to find the cure, please let me know, but since most people can run it, please don't spend too much time on it. By the sound of it, your time would be best spent on new missions of this caliber. Kind regards,Dave Vega
  22. Kevin,Running out of RAM might be it. I have 1GB of RAM. Not using ramdisks or anything like that. FSX is the only program running. I have rebooted the PC and w/o running anything else, I get the same error. I'll get more RAM in the future. Thanks for your help.Regards,Dave Vega
  23. Kevin,It either pops an alert type window titled fsx.exe - Application Error, saying: The instruction at "0x200ef882" referenced memory at "0x01806928" The memory could not be "read." Click on OK to terminate the program. See attached file. When it doesn't pop up the message above, it the game just disappears. I'm going to re-download the file and reinstall just in case there was corruption on the download process.Dave VegaEdit: Same behavior after re-downloading a fresh copy.
  24. Thank you for your help. I followed the installation instructions since I do have FSX in its default directory, C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X. I can see files in C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XMissionsEmergencyPalm 90. I also have the other two files you mentioned in the appropriate directories, Palm90Reward.rwd in the Rewards folder, and fx_deicing_2.fx in the Effects folder. I click on the mission, the screen switches to the mission, and FSX stops running about 1 second afterwards. The other missions run fine. I also reinstall this mission, just in case there was an issue with the files. Again, thanks for your help.Dave Vega
