OK finally found out what was causing the CTD just before landing. It appears that if LNAV is left engaged (whether operative or not), then a a CTD is almost certain. Have now tested it using varied sceneries and can confirm this fact. Ensuring LNAV is turned off is the solution.Regards

Hi BillThanks for replying, I did check among other things for duplicate Afcads, there were none.I even checked the sceneries for missing textures, whatever, couldn't find anything wrong.I'm not necessarily blaming PIC737 because I've been using it for quite along time without problems. This is why I am baffled why this is happening now. Another thing I didn't mention was that after the CTD I restarted the simulator and opened the last two autosaved files and here again there was an immediate CTD.I've read about the TCAS dll sometimes causing CTDswhen other aircraft are near the landing area but they only seem to happen with earlier versions of of the dll file. My installation of FS9 on Win7 64 has been running well and problem free for quite along time, but recently the sim has been crashing to Desktop just when I'm about to touchdown while flyingthe PIC737. This has happened at different airports in different areas of the world and has gotme totally baffled. Thought perhaps it could be the TCAS because all crashes have occurred while flying on Vatsim Network and there were other aircraft waiting at holding points, butTCAS2v7.dll which is the latest version is present. If anyone can shed some light on thisI'd really appreciate it.Thanks

Heathrow V2 of UK2000 is more up to-date as it includes some of the latest changes to the airport which is still undergoing somerefurbishment and new building works. Developer has made it clear there will be more updates to eventually reflect the airportonce all building work complete. I don't have Aerosoft's version but some friends do. FSInn does not require FSUIPC to function. Your problem may be due to incorrect installatiuon of FSInn or a dammaged simconnect installation.Remove FSInn followed by FSCopilot. Delete the FSFDT folder. Reboot. Install FSCopilot, then FSInn, reboot. Ensure all executables in the FSFDT folders have exemptions in the firewall and that port 32062/UDP is open. Everything should now work just fine after you complete all the required data in the SET menus. If you still get an error message after this, then you may need to look at your Simconnect installation.RegardsJoaquin

Just went to buy the extensions for the 747X but on adding the Freighter version website wants to charge me $50,000 . What's going on.

I've not been long on FSX and have already bought FSDreamteam sceneries and others, however I find that many major airports in the US and other world areas, readily available for FS9, are still not available some 2 years+ into the life of this sim. Examples: KMIA, KLAX, KSEA,etc. - Just curious why this is the case, for example I would have thought that FlyTampa and others would have by now released FSX versions for all their FS9 versions. Likewise I still see a very lownumber of freeware sceneries. What is the reason for this?RegardsJoaquin

Recently did a clean Win7 64 installation, and after installing relevant system drivers and OS updates, I installed both FSX and FS9, FSX in its own folder outside Program Files (x86) folder, and then a standard FS9 installation plus 9.1 update. After installing OS and both sims, plus payware aircraft, defragmented the disk with O&O. Configured FSX as suggested by Bojote and all is working well with an average 25fps with PMDG 747 at HeathrowXtreme, for me this an acceptable result. Only thing I haven't been able to make work is PIC737 when using it with FSInn. FS9 is super smooth and everything works fine. Turning off UAC as suggested by Opa is absolutely essential.RegardsJoaquin

Below a couple of things I find annoying. welcome any suggestions on how to stop them.1. Scrolling weather and other messages across the screen. Used a module in FS9 which hid these type of messages.2. When in full screen and pressing alt key pull down menu appears, but thereafter stays in the full screen. Is there a way to make it disappear while still remaining in Full screen?ThanksJoaquin

Installed 737PICX_Full_2b.exe and kept getting a dead panel where no buttons where working and Glass panels dark.Read in the locked Fellthere forum that the solution was to purchase the Vista/Win7 upgrade, so bought it and installed737PICX_Upg_Vista2.exe - However things remain the same. Aerosoft EHAM works very well with NL2000 V3, you will have to removed from your NL2000 scenery any bgl files named eham*.bglRegards

On a different post in the FSX forum I explained how the first and last time I installed FSX I was unable to get Simconnect to work and how I was going to do a clean reinstall to seeif this time it would finally work.So this time FSX Gold was installed, rebooted, did flight, followed by installation of Acceleration Packwhich apparently incorporates SP2, another reboot and subsequent flight.When in full screen mode at any given airport I cannot see anything related to simconnect on anyof the pull down menus, there was however a Multiplayer screen similar to that on FS9.So the first question would be, how do I know if simconnect is correctly installed and working?Been reading some posts in this forum which recommend installation of SDK package SP2 which I have done. So what next? The sim works very well but would love to be able to fully migrate to FSX and continue my Vatsim life. If this doesn't happen for me FSX will be of no use to me except for the ocassional offlineflight and that would be a pitty. Ok guys this is where the fun begins.Installed FSX Gold + Acceleration Pack. Did reboot and did a short flight after each installed.FSX tells me SP2 installed as part of theAcceleration Pack. Problem is I cannot see anyAddon folder or simmconnect anywhere. Did install latest versions of FSCopilot & FSInn(in that order) and encountered no problem. However FSCopilot is missing from the Sim.Any help much appreciated.Regards

Buy Topcat if you can afford it. It supports PMDG B737-700 & B737-800 models.You input the departure and destination and the loads and it will work out for you your fule, take off trim values and TO speeds including derated, etc. You can then load fueland load configuration straight into the model. If you are conversant with VNAV-LNAV, etc your flight will fly in a professional manner. - Worth noting that I am not part ofTOPCAT's team nor do I benefit financially or otherwise, only in the sheer pleasureof using this software.Regards
