Recently installed Delbond Christian scenery of St-maarten.Now FS will crash to desktop every time a flight is set up for that area.Uninstalled the scenery but it still crashes.Does not happen anywhere else.The read me does mention deleting previouse versions and any other scenery relating to TNCM but I have none installed .At a lost as to what to do to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Guys.Some of my add on planes are being referred to by ATC as "Experimental".Are there any ways to change it so that they are calling the aircraft by their correct name?

I was hoping the 2D cockpit would look more like the one in FLY2.I'm not comparing the two sims, just the textures.

ATI TRAY TOOLS seems to be the culprit.Uninstalled it and now everything back to normal.Airborn again!.:-)

I've recently install ATI TRAY TOOLS but I'm not running any Benchmarking or activated anything like that.

Just noticed this number on the top right hand corner.Never seen it before and it's getting annoying.Sure it's somekind of FPS counter but I don't know how to switch it off.Tried Shift-z but it didn't work.Any ideas?.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/113404.jpg

I'm also a recent convert.After months of a reading reviews I've finally took the plunge and bought the Samsung 172x and the diffrence is stunning .I for one will never go back to CRT.The images are incredibly sharp and the colours are ...well you'll just have to see for yourself.One more thing,I can't detect any ghosting at all which was my biggest concern as to the move to LCD.The monitor is partnered to an ATI X800 PRO if anyone wants to know.

To Michael J.I noticed your using the WD Raptor harddrive.I've been thinking about getting one of these things.Does it make a diffrence to the performance of FS as oppose to something like what I'm using now.WD 120G with 8mb cache,72,000 RPM(I think).

I agree. As you can see I have a pretty "basic' system compare to what you can get out there today and yet I am able to run FS9 very smoothly wit FPS on umlimited.I have hyperthreading turned on then off,it made no diffrence to fps. I use PMDG 737NG without add ons and I mainly fly around New Zealand and the odd hop across the Tasman to australia so I'm not exactly straining the system but I do use clouds at it's maximum setting and terrain mesh on 100%.This gave me a lot of problems untill I replace my FX5900 card to ATI's X800 PRO and haven't look back since.P4 3.06 533 fsb1gb Ram120 WD 8MB HDWin XP Home

I bought the NG about a week ago and I REFUSE to leave the tarmac untill I know how to start the engines and getting to know how to read and use the FMC. Last night I took off from NZCH to NZWN, and for the first time landed a heavy jet on Wellington's notoriouslywindy runway perfectly and in one piece and it felt good!. Just bought the 737NG on cd and having a lot of fun with it however can someone tell me if it's possible to import flightplans that I created in FS9 into the FMC.I tried it by changing the .pln file into .rte as in the Flightplan folder in PMDG but upon executing it the program crashed and had to hard reboot. Hi there. I've had my X800PRo for about 2 weeks now. Having always used NVIDIA this is my first experince with ATI and so far so good. As for performance, again it also depends on your other hardware cpu,ram etc. On my set up the first thing I noticed is that those clouds don't bring down my FPS like it used to on my FX5900 and yes it's very smooth. You still need to tweak FS to get the best image quality as I find the first time I fired up FS the ground blur and shimmering were terrible. Play with the AA & AF settings in the control panel and make sure to get the latest driver from ATI. I don't take to much notice with regards framerates as long as it's smooth with a nice sharp image and that is what I'm getting with this particular card. Good luck.

Check that Render To Textures is ticked. I have just switched to an ATI card and were getting reboots because of this. Might help.

Looks Great. Yeah,the Upper North Island resembles the Outback (I'm living in Brisbane at the moment and it looks like my back lawn:-lol) and Andy Weir's mesh is a must have if you intend to fly in NZ.
