  1. Hello everybody, same problem here. Had autobrake 2 active, aircraft slowed down, I pressed the brake button a couple of times but the brakes remained applied incl. FSX brake indication. After full stop I set parking brake and released it and from then on no brakes were available any more except parking brake.Brake temp after full stop showed 0.0 Albert Martin
  2. this is more than annoying really ... this nonsense does not prevent piracy in any way but it prevents customers from using what they paid for ... Albert Martin
  3. I would call that almost a love letter :( Fully agree, these are the many little details that give full immersion of being there and to enjoy your ride with amazement !Thanks for sharing, Carl !CheersAlberto
  4. The only effective way to get wind aloft shifts under control is the registered version of FSUIPC I'm afraid. It would not let wind speed and direction change faster than you allowed it in the configuration.Active Sky is a great weather addon, but it does little to nothing to get rid of those ugly wind changes from 100kt headwind to 100kt tail wind.Cheers
  5. I had the same problem like the opener - a batch file on the desktop, executing it resulted only in a short flashing command line windows and that was it.I managed to take a screenshot of that very short moment and realized that there was an error message saying that fps limiter could not load the limiter_d3d9.dll, looking for it in the same directory where the batch files is (not the directory of fps limiter, as I expected!).Copying the batch file into the fps limiter directory and making a shortcut on the desktop solved the problem. So if you have the same trouble, give it a try.CheersAlbert
  6. Allright - the setup path entry in the registry is as follows:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XWhen I open drive C:, though, a folder "program files" does not show up, it's called "Programme"; looking at the properties of the folder "programme" it is e.g. in the security tab shown as object name "C:Program Files". Is it possible that VISTA handles a folder with two different names, the original and the localised ?? The full path would be:C:ProgrammeMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XSimObjectsAirplanesPMDG_MD11On the other hand - since the loadmanager DOES update the config correctly it must be able to find the cfg file anyway, right ? It does not read out weight and fuel but can write new weights.ConfusingThanksAlbert
  7. Hi Michael, affirmative - fsx is also german versionThanksAlbert
  8. First of all congrats to the PMDG team - what a marvel the MD-11 is !:-beerchug I have a problem with the loadmanager, which seems to refuse to work at all.The loadmanager starts, the status line shows correctly that the MD-11 is loaded, but the weights and fuel show zero ! Not only the pax and cargo weight, but also the ZFW. When I add a load the loadmanager adds up the pax and cargoweights and shows that as ZFW. So when I choose full load the pax weight is 26290kg, the cargo weight is 27578kg and the resulting ZFW shows as 53868kg ! It completely misses the aircraft basic weight !Furthermore I cannot adjust the fuel load - current and max shows both zero and the slider cannot be moved with the mouse, neither do the arrow keys change anything. Mysterious since anything else in the MD-11 seems to be working flawless. My system is running Vista32 (german version - could it be a problem of localised naming in windows where the "program files" folder is named "programme"?)CheersAlbert MartinEdit: forgot to add - the "send to fsx" option works, the ZFW of the aircraft in FS correctly shows basic weight plus load after sending, only since fuel cannot be adjusted it sends fuel load zero.
  9. >Why are feelthere>locking their support forums.............?>Why should they keep it open ? They did not use it anyway - all they did was locking threads and deleting posts.Feelthere - no thanks - never again !
  10. Same display freeze happend to me on the EHSI display in VC view - after changing the display mode or range sometimes the display was not updated any more. Switching to 2D panel and back to VC cured it.Besides from that - congratulations to the PSS team, that's a fine bird :-beerchug EDIT: ups - forgot to sign ;)CheersAlbert
  11. >>I think everyone agrees that if PMDG decides to make 777-200>we all gonna be running to them with credit cards ready.>Quite an assumption, Alex, and wrong. I for one definitely would not.I already have a fine 777 from "the other company", which I have flown for MANY hours till now, which surely is not the same level of detail as PMDG but considering that I paid only about half the price compared to the Queen I am fine with that. PMDG has a huge choice of phantastic aircraft types to model and I'm looking forward to see which choice they did.
  12. Did you possibly arm the cargo fire protection ? That would switch off pack 3
  13. You should rather ask which 744s do NOT have winglets ;)The only 744 without winglets is the 747-400D (domestic version) und AFAIK that version is only in use by JAL and ANA (pls correct me if I forgot one)
  14. >I just wonder weather its a legal issue. I've heard that if>anyone tries to model Airbus aircraft, Airbus Industries may>launch legal action. So PSS, SSW, Wilco, CLS, ifdg, Posky - all have been shut down by Airbus ?Nonsense ...Definitely a PMDG Airbus family would be outstanding :)
  15. Hi Ed,I have both the -400 and the -400F running on a win 2000 pro system ... working like a charm :)
  16. >Are you indicating that we should have our FPS set at 6? Just>a little confused on your statement there.>>BTW: I too will wait until the final product is ready.>>Thanks,>KenNo, Ken... you can adjust the gauge refresh rates of the PFD, ND and center displays individually within the 777 - that's what he was talking about
  17. I have to cheer in as far as positive feedback is concerned ;-) Spent a couple of hours doing hand flown patterns around my hometown airport, playing around with autopilot as well, letting the autopilot shooting an approach, trying the performance settings, check lists, wx radar...Right now I have set up a complete flight and am cruising currently...To sum it up - I am pretty happy with what I see till now. Knowing that this is a pre pre release I did not expect that version to be free of issues, actually this was mentioned by PSS in advance, so what would be to complain about? ;-)Besides the issues others already mentioned and which I trust soon will be ironed out for the final release, this is going to become a great addon and will be (amongst others) one of my favourites for quite some time :9 Thanks to the whole team for bringing to T7 to us, and special thanks to you for all the efforts concerned with the pre pre release, which I - and I am sure many others - very much enjoy.Keep up the good work !CheersAlbert
  18. As edit to the above message:If there seems to be no easy fix for the problem I really would like to ask you to make the latest available build (was it 147 ?) available for download again. At the moment I am downgraded to build 81 again as I did not back up the last installation before installing build 174!
  19. Hi Gentlemenhave exactly the same problem - AS2004 does not realize FS is running.AS2004.5 B174 , FSUPIC 3.45 (unregistered)- Have done uninstall/reinstall as suggested above, antivirus turned off- Online mode active- IgnoreFSReadyStatus is checked on- FS is running and I am positioned at gate then I start ASNothing helps, after AS has started the message 'AS not connected to FS' keeps staying and it does not update weather.Never had a problem before, with earlier update and FSUIPC 3.4 AS was working like a charm. Problem occurred only with B174.Any help will be highly appreciated!ThanksAlbert
  20. Hi AllI experienced this turbulence as well - don't know if it's a wake turbulence. I got this on some landings, starting on very short final at around 300-100ft AGL but neither any other landing or departing aircraft infront of me nor coming closer than 5nm.I switched wake turbulence off now and will do some test flights to see if this is really caused by the wake turbulence simulation.Besides this: AS2004 is an amazing product and I am sure it will be outstanding after the release of MR1 :-beerchug
  21. Ok - that's kind of good news I wanted to hear ;-) Thanks, John
  22. My apologies, Robert ... this obviously sounded hard to you but wasn't meant this way from my side at all. Anyway - I apologize for expressing myself in such a way.I understand AMEX is taking high fees, charges which you miss from your profit. But see it from this point: I surely will not go and get a second credit card just to be able to purchase PMDG products and I am sure there are many simmers out there who think the same way. So it's your choice to sell more with a few less profit or don't sell it to those people which means zero profit.Don't get me wrong - I don't want to tell you how to do your business, I am just wondering why your direct competitors like PSS or Captainsim can do (without an 'AMEX surcharge'!) but PMDG can not. And I am wondering this because I have the impression that your products are outstanding - I just can't buy it without changing my CC.Best regards
  23. Hi guysI decided to purchase the 737, but big surprise at the check out: only Visa and Mastercard !?What's going on ? Every f***g cigarette shop accepts AMEX ... well, at least in Germany ... maybe it's different in America ... :( PSS, simmarket, flight1 ... they all accept AMEX - why not PMDG ?What to do now ?Cheers
