  1. Hi Alex, Just one suggestion - similar to Ernie's old FSBuild - would it be too much trouble to "remember" your export choices and export to all chosen with the single click of a button ? I quite frequently - have to go back in - if I change aircraft or such to correct the omission - exported for GTN decided to switch to GNS - stuff like that... Also - by default - if it could just overwrite (with a prompt) any previous entries for the same airport pair - it would work better for me - as I don't need multiple saved airport pairs in my GTN or GNS... As it is now - it just adds another flight plan for the same airport pair... Thanks for the consideration... Regards, Scott

  3. Hi Folks, Yeah - nothing makes me view a company in a more negative light - than when the company attempts to hide the support forum from public view... I usually do my due diligence prior to purchase and would much prefer easy access to the facts... It makes my life easier and I'm more prone to purchase when they choose to do it here on AvSim - which I'm sure is the largest gathering of Flight Simulator enthusiasts in the world... Kudo's to RXP, Pilot2ATC, and Flysimware - some of the ones I frequent - for doing so... Granted - it's not always easy for the company - but if you are passionate about your product - you have a tad of respect for your customers - and stay true to your word - it probably works in your benefit... It becomes readily apparent - who the guys are - that are in the trenches everyday attempting to help their customers - these are the guys I want to do business with... Regards, Scott
  4. Hi Folks, Started looking around - man - I guess painting this bird is tough as I find very few paints that truly inspire me... Perhaps we should start accumulating the best of the best - so when deciding on textures - they have a place to start ? Here's the best one I've found so far (subjective): Regards, Scott
  5. RE: @Flysimware Hi Mark, Thanks for taking the time for the explanation - understood - hopefully they are doing the mapping for you - as I've always found that task the most tedious and least enjoyable while modeling... I think we just all wanted to espouse our affection and appreciation for Wicked Bacon's work... He really brought your models to a whole new level... Regards, Scott
  6. RE: @Flysimware Hi Mark, Looks superb - what do you do - get the shop manuals for the model you're working on - that would seem to be the only source for the exacting details you put in on your models... Nice work... One request I'd like to see added to your models - if you can figure it out - A2A designed a towbar mechanism for their aircraft - click on the towbar - now you simply use the joystick to - push - pull - and steer - the aircraft as if you were operating the towbar yourself - it's pretty slick and smooth... It makes it easy to position the aircraft on the ramp or even pull into or out hangars... Regards, Scott
  7. Hi Folks, Amen - with the plane actually moving the entire time the propellor is turning - drifting with wind - bobbing realistically in the wind and waves... Honestly - I don't know how anyone can enjoy floatplanes in the strange sticky goop we've been calling water for the last 20 years... I've seen games with better water physics than our beloved "simulator" offers... Regards, Scott
  8. Hi Mike/Murray, Glad the effort pays off - thanks as well... Enjoy !!! Regards, Scott
  9. Hi Scott, Happy to help... N81FR has been uploaded this AM as well - Starcheck is happy again... Regards, Scott
  10. Hi... One more thought - if you are using PS or PSP - make sure you get the Nvidia PS Plugin (works with both) - so you can read and write DDS files directly... I'm not sure if Gimp has something similar… Remember - layers are your friends - put each detail of your paint on a separate layer so you can manipulate them all independently and at will... For exterior textures I use "DDS DXT5 with Interpolated Alpha" - also check the box that you want "MIPMAPS" and to "FLIP" texture while saving... Regards, Scott
  11. Hi... One other thought - load one of the default paint textures into your painting program - as some have lines running the length of the bird - very similar to your paint - you could use them as a guide to get your straight line - aligned... Regards, Scott
  12. Hi... Welcome to the wonderful world of painting... Actually - this paint kit is well made - even including a "paint here" layer for beginners... It's one of the easiest and best to learn the ropes with - as the major components are broken down into very few parts... Getting things to line up is nothing more than taking a swag at it - then pixel by pixel manipulation to perfect the alignment... If you're working in PS or PSP - look into "Vector Graphics" (Gimp doesn't support this) - as it's the easiest way to paint stripes and patterns commonly found on aircraft - using Bezier Curves - it takes a little time and effort to master though... I would highly recommend getting Arno's (MCX or Model Converter X) from FSDeveloper - as it will save you countless hours in the painting process - it loads the "xxx.mdl" file for the Lear - presents it in 3D - and with a simple click of the button reloads the textures you are working on to check alignment - this takes a fraction of the time it would take to check your work in the actual sim itself... It's far easier to manipulate the camera in MCX as well - making it quicker to get the area of the model you're actually interested in... This texture checking task is repeated over and over again - hundreds of times - during the painting process... Regards, Scott
  13. Hi Al, Much obliged - sir - I’ll take a gander... Regards, Scott
  14. Hi Folks, OK - been flying the cargo version a bunch - it’s always been empty in back - yesterday I conducted a flight and to my surprise - the crates had magically appeared - what’s the trick to get the crate models to appear - I thought it might have been the load manager - but that doesn’t appear to work ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott
  15. Hi Tim, You’re welcome - I had noticed N500LL was one of the more popular paints - it was one of the easier ones to do as well - some of the others I spent three times as much time on - lining up pin stripes is a real PITA... Enjoy ! Regards, Scott
  16. Hi Folks, Hah - yeah - made this same case several times over on the ORBX boards - I mean who can resist swimming pigs, beer, and conch ? Regards, Scott
  17. Hi Bob, Glad you like it - enjoy !!! Regards, Scott
  18. Hi Hoss, LOL - yep - that name has been easy for me to remember... Glad you’re getting it sorted... Yeah - simple installation - unzip them all to the “Winwood” directory than just overwrite the “Winwood” directory in your RC4 directory - there are tens of thousands of files so it might take a while... RC4 does a good job of of navigating - it should vastly improve your IFR experience - everything is run through the simconnect text window with appropriate number presses... Just make sure you select your aircraft type in the settings as it will determine how ATC handles you... Enjoy... Regards, Scott
  19. Hi Hoss, The email won’t work since commercial support has stopped - you have to open RC4 and take the number from the splash screen - open up the encrypt tool and paste the number into the encrypt tool - then run the encrypt tool and that will generate the official license code for RC4 - so paste that generated code back into RC4 to officially license it to you... Regards, Scott
  20. Hi Hoss, Yeah - 10 files by Nick Schreger - you need all 10... Regards, Scott
  21. Hi Bob, Thanks - I have no first hand experience with them... Also noticed Bernardo has a new site up and the pictures look incredible... https://www.photosimlabs.com Regards, Scott
  22. Hi Stan, If it’s the Nassau from one of the Aerosoft developers (Boeing Field Team) - I’d steer clear - I remember reading numerous posts of people having many performance issues that I don’t recall ever being resolved... I think I recall a post where someone mentioned they didn’t even use LOD’s on their models... YMMV... Bernardo has a bunch of Bahamas payware sceneries on short final but they haven’t been released and therefore there are no reviews yet... I’ve been following his progress for years and I’m anxious to see these... https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/551487-south-bimini-cat-cay-release-news/?tab=comments#comment-4013507 Regards, Scott
  23. Hi Folks, N500LL and N27TT were uploaded early this AM - I'm guessing today's uploads.... N81FR has something minor I need to improve... I've got a couple new ones in the works but I'm not sure I am happy with them - we'll see - one is a 1970's era paint that was actually flown by a member here when I first started with this bird - I think he moved over to the other brands Lear - haven't seen him here in a long while... The other is a fictional paint taken from a Lear 45 and I'm attempting to adapt it for the 35... For P3Dv4 users - make sure you turn on the "Reflections" setting to medium or high - they really improve the look... I'm still blown away at the difference the texture updates have made... Regards, Scott
  24. Hi Al, Dang - I did that on a previous version - then I updated before testing for Bob... I forgot - a mind is a terrible thing to waste - sorry... Thankfully - we have you here... Regards, Scott
  25. Hi Bob, Confirmed - no glideslope on LPV approach - I tested at KMSV... We need some Raid... Regards, Scott
