  1. I am sorry to hear of David's passing...We have done a couple of sceneries together.. I shall miss sending him a birthday card as we shared the same birthday.. March 12th.. Ray Lunning
  2. I have had the B737-200 ADV (version 1.26)installed for some time and all is working great..I like the Sperry 77 version and I use it... I know that updates 1.30 thru 1.32 add the Sperry 177 autopilot to the B737-200... My question is: Does the updates make any changes to the B737-200 ADV with a Sperry 77 AP ?? I can see that the *.gau file has changed..(bigger) I have the "other" B737-200 with its SP 177 AP..It too is a great panel...smaller gauges but anexcellent panel.ThanksRay Lunning
  3. This is not a bug..however I have a question..?? Is it possible to have both AP versions (the 77 and the 177) active in your aircraft folder...FS9.. It would be nice to "select" your aircraft version without modifing the panel.cfg file.. Possibly renaming the panel folder..??Ray Lunning
  4. I'll try this by memory...If you pull the power back you will reduce the "thrust" and you will begin to lose airspeed due to "drag". You will need to increase the "pitch" to maintain the same altitude..Increasing the "pitch" further increases the "drag".. If you partialy deploy the "spoilers" you will decrease the "lift" on the wing and begin to lose altitude.. For spoilers to fully function as speed brakes they need to be fully deployed as when used on landing.. I had spoilers on my Cessna T210...When I would deploy them at altitude I would get about 1200 fpm descent rate and lose about two knots... They did not function as "Speed Brakes" I have about 4 hours in a 737-200 simulator...I remember getting my air speed too high..below 10K and throttled back and deployed the speed brakes...They functioned OK and my instructor didn't challange what I did... Flying is always a balance of Thrust, Drag, Lift and Gravity...You need to plan ahead to be at the right altitude and speed...Ray Lunning

The NEW 177 panel is great..Thanks..I'll still fly the 77 version once and a while.. One issue..The TCAS gauge on the Radio panel does not seem to work...??Ray Lunning
  6. I am using a PFC unit for throttle quads... The FLAP lever is not working...I think I had it working at one time but now it's not and I forgot the "fix" I went thru the readme, my F6/F7 seem to work OK...but I would like to use the FlapLever.. I have a PFC module but don't see anything there to set flaps. Do I need to use the standard FSUIPC module... A quick set of instructions might help....I forget a lot these days..Ray Lunning

The panel as I see it on this forum site looks as though the panel is displayed on a Wideview monitior...??I have modified and/or reworked maybe 80 panels for my own use..I have never uploaded one... I use a 20.1in. Samsung standard monitor... everything in your panel appears to be readible... An excellent panel...One of the best I have seen.. I rework most of the panels I download because I use Precision Flight Controls hardware... I have a Bendix-King Radio Stack and Throttle quadrants...So I usually remove all radio freqs.. My hardware autopilot will trigger all the buttons on the AP panel.. With the Sperry 77 autopilot... some functions on my PFC AP will not work in the 737-200adv in its current configuration...Not a problem with me.. I am just passing on information... I have two Go-Flight Switch Panels which I use for Lights, eng, starts etc.. most of them work in the 200adv but not all... Thanks for your workRay Lunning I forgot to note...The Baro. and Alt Alert. appears to be out of place and too large......Not sure what the gauge is on the real panel... Just an opinion...Ray..

I am looking forward to your release.. I note that the current TinMouse ver1.26 has a Sperry 77 autopilot (I think this is the correct model) This is the version I flew back in Oct. in Las Vegas.. I note that your panel has a "newer" version of the Autopilot..(not sure of the model..) I am hoping that the Ver 1.26 will remain as is and that your "newer" panel will be a NEW panel option... In your photos you panel is much wider... How will this fit in a standard monitor...?? Not a wide screen monitor....Ray Lunning

When, or will this panel be availible... Payware is OK with me...Ray LunningSurprise, AZ
  10. OK! I see the hyd. switches...Also the Autobrake is working.. Issue is the Airspeed gauge.. The numbers in the middle will not go below 045.... Not sure why...is there a switch some where for this..??Ray
  11. I arm the Auto Brake switch..However I have no way to determine if it is working.. As I slow down I hit the manual brakes and the inop lights up.. The switch does not automaticly return to off...not sure it should...Also are there Hydrolic Pump switches..?? If so where are they...ThanksRay Lunning
  12. Just for the record.. I removed the TakeOff calls and the Altitude calls (the Wav files) They all are OK and work fine... I will be flying my TinMouse using FDC (Flight Deck Companion by Dave March)..It will provide the takeoff calls and many others...Its a very good interactive program... If I didn't remove the files I would have duplicate calls...The TinMouse continues to get better as I learn more about how to fly it... I have some problem keeping the speed under 250k during descents...Ray Lunning
  13. Bob: I use FDC with my B737-200... FDC has its own voice files..."Airspeed active", "80K', "100K" etc..then Vee One, Rotate etc... I removed the 80K, Vee one and Rotate wav files... However I can't find a Vee two wav file... How can I remone the vee two call...or where is the file...??----------------------- EVERYTHING with the B737-200 is working...even my spoilers...Works just great..Ray Lunning
  14. Bob: Version 1.25 is installed... Made several flights..."EVERYTHING" works.. You just have to learn how to fly it... No AutoPilot Problems.... When I arm the spoilers with my PFC lever the spoilers partially deploy...I suspect I need to calibrate the lever in PFC ?? I added a "digital" trim gauge to the panel...its very helpful when the plane is trimming itself...Cheers....Ray Lunning
  15. Bob: In one of the "Readmes" it says "set lever to control PROP PITCH 2"...I know it says this because I am looking at the 'Print Out'.. under Ver 1.2... I changed it to PROP PITCH 1 and it works OK now.. I don't have any issues with the TinMouse now...All systems are working perfectly...Ray Lunning
  16. While on the Ground..and Throttle panel displayed..if I pull back my PFC lever, the Throttle panel lever moves with it...BUT the spoilers do not deploy... If I grab the Spoiler lever with the mouse the spoilers will visually deploy.. On landing, if I pull the PFC lever the spoilers WILL DEPLOY... however if I move the lever back up the spoilers will not retract...I have to grab the spoiler lever on the TP to tryract the spoilers.. Other than the above my TM functions just great...Ray Lunning
  17. The TinMouse I installed has a Sperry 77 AP...I just flew this Simulator in Vegas ...see my post..It does not have an altitude pre select or vertical speed control...It has an Altitude Hold... You can control the pitch in the manual with the "Elevator" engaged on the AP... I have not tried it .. I am just reading the manual.. I'll do some checking and report back..Ray Lunning
  18. A fair request, so here goes: I am now 72 years old and have a Private,Commercial License with SEL ,MEL and IFR rattings... My last plane was a 1979 Cessna T210..I have owned three different planes.. I do not fly anymore..Can't pass the physical... I had always wanted to try an airline type simulator..The 737 was my choice..I made a few calls and found PanAM International Flight Academy.. They are based in Maimi, Denver, Las Vegas and Cincinnati.. I made my contacts thru Denver.. They booked me into a 737-200adv in Las Vegas, which is a 5 hour drive from where I live..The 737-200 is an older model with analog gauges... I believe there are some security issues before you can use one of these simulators... I needed to show a passport or birth certificate and have a Pilots License with an IFR rating...I assume these are requirements as that is what they requested.... I scheduled two hours on Oct. 14th and two hours on Oct 15th...I had an instructor named Jay who pushed me to the limits... From the outside the simulator is as big as a house...They call it a box...The Flight Deck is a "real" 737-200adv... In every way, right down to the jump seats where a FAA examiner can watch ..Not needed for my flight as they were not FAA.. In the rear is a panel for the instructor to program the simulator....Input weight, fuel, weather, location etc...We did all our air work out of KJFK..After we got seated we had a brief review and then we got started.. Adjust the seat...There are several release levers to position yourself... Review the brakes and rudders... another adjustment is availible.. Next we went thru the check list and did a start on each engine...Jay would handle the Flaps, gear and radios. Mostly Nav input... We first practiced Taxing... not that easy.. The rudders only move +/- 7 degrees each direction.. To make big turns you use the "tiller wheel" on the pilots left... Very sensitive.. Easy to over steer which I did...Soon I was able to make a 180 degree left turn on the runway... We did our takeoffs and landings on 4R... First take off was easy and we climbed to 3000ft.. There I just did some turns and tried to hold 210knots and 3000ft.. As any student does there is a tendency to over-correct...Seems I was always trimming.. It takes some practice... Jay then gave me haedings for the ILS for 4R Our approach speed was 136 knots..(based on weight)...First landing was OK though I needed a bit of help.. To finish the first day we did a vew more take offs and landings....I must note here...NO AUTOPILOT was used.. hands on flying only...We did use the Flight Director.. Also there is no "scenery" just a dark sky.. runways were lit and visible...So you head stays in the cockpit.. On the second day Jay had the engines running and we took off and did a VOR approach to 4R.. Jay then demonstrated "backing up" a 737 on the runway using the thrust reversers...It does back up.. We then took off and climbed to 10,000ft.. Here we did steep turns 45 deg. bank..Only allowed +/- 100ft... I was close not perfect... We then tried the Auto Pilot.. Works just fine...With the AP now OFF we did (or Jay did) a gear down/full flaps stall and recovery... I then did two recoveries from an unusual attitude...That's where I look down and the instructor leaves the plane in a nose up or down attitude... I then have to look up and recover to straight and level... Did good... I then descended to 3000ft for an IFR into KJFK 4R... Ceiling 500ft visibility 1 mile.... Did OK We then took off and Jay killed the right engine.. My go-around at 1000ft was OK..Landing not too good. But I got the message... One more ILS and we were done.... It was a BLAST.. I thought I did well....but it was harded than I thought... Jay was on me all the time... These instrustors want you right on the numbers.... I doubt anyone without real flight time could fly this thing... That means you can't learn on a desk top.. You will crash... You may get by if you use the AP all the way.. My experience helped me....Hope this was not tooooo long...Ray LunningSurprise AZ [email protected]
  19. Bob: I think I got it fixed...Not easy.. Had the engines backwards for a while...Ray... Check my new post...Yep! Thats me...All 72 years..
  20. Here I am in a 737-200 full motion simulator in Las Vegas..Thanks to PanAm Intl. Flight Acadamy.. Four hours of flight time on Oct. 14th and 15th..It was a blast.. I am IFR rated so that helped.Ray LunningSurprise AZ.
  21. Bob: I have all the PFC quadrants...I assume I open FS2004 then load the Tinmouse 737 ? Then I open the PFC window ??.. At this point I would have my two engine jet quadrant installed... So again I assume that while in this mode I will select "throttle quad Type"
  22. Bob: EVERYTHING is working OK except the spoilers...The readme states, "set the lever control to PROP PITCH 2.. With the 737 panel up and running... The PROP PITCH 2 is the same lever as my right engine.. I assume you use "Axis Assignments" if not how do I get to Prop Pitch 2.. or do I just use the #2 throttle lever..??? Or how do i get to Prop pitch 2... Many thanks for your help so far..ray lunning
  23. Do I make this thru the PFC display (PFC.dll) or the FSUIPC display (FSUIPC.dll) ?? Where is the readme?? FSUIPC or PFCPS: I got 4 hours last week in a 737-200 full motion simulator in Las Vegas..Ray Lunning
  24. This is a first time post..for Tinmouse2.. My FSUIPC is the latest version and I use PFC flight controls, throttles and radio stack... 1.. RMI...The VOR needles do not work on NAV 1 and 2.. DME readings OK 2.. Red Flags on the EPR gauges...not working 3.. Red Flag on the Altimeter.. I fixed this by replacing the gauge with the Probst 727 altimeter... 4.. I have to use the F6/F7 Keys to actuate the flaps...My PFC Flap lever will not move the flaps. 5..The Flap position gauge does not work... I replaced it... I assume I may have missed some settings on the overhead or radio stack panel..??Ray LunningSurprise AZ
  25. I have been using ExcBuilderV2 in FS9... However it doesn't work in FSX because of FSConnect not compatible...??? I may be wrong but that is what I am finding out.. How can we now Exclude "All objects" from an area in FSX.. I assume this means objects, autogen objects and trees... Hopefully not to complex...Ray Lunning
