  1. Which BGL files did you discover were missing and where from please? I have the same problem as you did. No Centers in my ATC.
  2. Tell me of this AI refresh button. I use ActiveSky Evolution. I see a Refresh button but none that says AI Refresh. Is it one and the same?
  3. I have had the 777 installed in my Boxed version of FSX for a while. I recently switched to FSX Steam edition. I uninstalled the 777 and the expansion and reinstalled using the new installers in both the Boxed version as well as the Steam Edition. Trouble is that when Ioad a flight up in the steam edition I have no SIIDs or STARs listed for any airport. I have updated the AIRACs to make sure that was not the issue. The FMS shows that I have the lates AIRAC cycle loaded but no airport has SIDs or STARs. I have tried at KORD, ZSPD and EBBR. So far. Anyone had this problem?
  4. Hello there. It;s been a while since I posted an event but I was thinking it would be fun to do that world record breaking flight that was done when Boeing was testing the 772 ER. The flight is from Hong Kong (VHHH, Or VHHX if you want an added twist and you have the scenery and skills to pull it off) to London Heathrow (EGLL). The trick is we will be flying Eastward instead of westward. We will cross the Pacific, the continental United States and the Atlantic before touching down at Heathrow some 23 hours later. Here is the flightplan: N0506F290 OCEA2A OCEAN V3 CONGA/N0495F330 V3 ENVAR/N0495F330 M750 MANEP Y753 JAKAL A1 ALBAT/N0485F350 A1 KEC OGASA MORAY/M083F350 34N150E 32N160E 33N170E 35N180E 36N170W 39N160W 43N150W 44N140W/M083F370 42N130W/N0477F370 VESPA C1486 ENI J143 PYE J88 ROBIE/N0487F390 J88 LAX J60 BLD J107 MLF J9 FFU J202 OCS J94 BFF OBH J10 IOW J60 PSB J78 MIP J146 JFK J225 PVD J55 BOS J575 YQY VIXUN LOGSU 49N050W 50N040W 52N030W 53N020W/N0467F390 MALOT/M083F390 UL9 BURAK/N0466F390 UL9 STU UP2 NUMPO Y3 NIGIT Her eis a linl to an article about the real life flight: http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/...r_051110g.html It's all nonstop and was done a few years ago in real life and I also did the flight in MS and posted about it here at the time. If you think you would like to join in, and I am hoping that you would like to do this, please post here or send me a private messsage. I'll be Using FS9 but you can use which ever you feel beter at. I would like this flight to kick off my Summer. I am planning on starting this on Friday June 14 setting up at 10 pm CST (04:00 Zulu) Looking forward to hearing from some of you Anson.
  5. Not sure what sim you are using but authors like Bill Melichar and Delblond Christian have some awesome detailed s.cenery for many of the islands of the Caribbean. Do a search for their names in Extended search. One thing though, they for FS9. Not sure how many of them, if any, were converted to FSX.

  7. Would you happen to have the return leg of this flight?
  8. Does anyone have an official (or close to it) flight plan for this new route by Qantas? I tried it with FSBuild building the route but kept running out of fuel. Any part of the route would be appreciated but I am really interested in getting the longer transpacific segments. Thanks in advance. Anson
  9. Getting ready to start it now.
  10. Ok here is my experience with this add-on. After buying it and running he exe to install the gauge, I still had to spend 2 days (about 2 hours each day actually) installing the edits to the aircraft.cfg as well as the panel.cfg files or my PMDG 737's (all of them all the way to the 900), Level-D 767, PMDG 747's, PMDG MD-11, Feelthere aircraft (embraers, boeings and airbuses) and my PSS aircrat (B777's and 757's). I then looked for an airport at which it was raining and set the plane up. I have yet to see the splash effect actually work. What I can tell you though is that since the aircraft.cfg edit places the command in the {LIGHTS] section and uses "light.x=8," command, your wing light switch will not work. I tried switching it on and it kept flipping back to the off position. It's a pity that this is the case since I have bought and installed some other Suppression Flight effect files adn they work fairly well. So, be warned of the length of time it will take to install this effect and the result once you get it installed (or lack thereof)
  11. The correct link is http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/Hope it works for you now.
  12. Ran a search at the forums that you suggested and did not find a mention of the problem or the fix. In which of the forums is the fix found? ....and how do I register for the Licensed members forum?
  13. UI have had this problem for wuite a while and I am stumped as to why it started happening. On capuring the ILS for no matter what airport intead of turning on the heading that I programmed for the runway the plane turns 180* the opposite direction. These runways are not backcourse headings and I do not have the BC switch on. This has been happening for months now. Anyone else has or had this prob and have any idea how to fix it?
  14. I think I have figured out and corrected a major contributor to this phenom. The culprit seems to be duplicate AFD files. Something clicked when people kept saying it must be something to do with third party scenery or a bad AFD file. That's when I realised that in some third party scenery, payware included, the AFCAD or AF2 file for the new airport is in "Scenery" folder of the new scenery itself. If you do as I do and look for and install further, updated AFCAd files then the possibility exists that you have two AFD files working fo the same airport that may have slight differences in frequency and alignment info. So I downloaded a program I remembered from a while back, Scanafd, available here on Avsim http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=45600Scan all your scenery folders and locate those that register as having more than one AFD. Then look carefully at the location of each. Those in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder have priority over all others but if you have two for the same airport but with different names, they will conflict. Choose one to keep and dump the other. Be careful not to dump any AFD that comes up as a duplicate but that deals with taxiway signs or specific visual and ILS approaches. This took me about two hours to do since I have tons of scenery and ended up with over 200 duplicates that I had to go through but in the end my landing at ABQ (one of the problem airports) was More centered than ever int he last few months. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189609.jpgNow I'm not saying this is the absolute solution, but so far it has worked for the one flight I did. I will be testing other airports and let you guys know how it goes.Feel free to post your responseAnson

  18. did anyone find a solution to this prob that worked?
  19. I noticed recently that in some of the repaints I have for the PMDG 747 the texture for the tires are missing. I thought about just copying the textures from another repaint but I have no idea which one to copy or if that is even possible. Could someone help me figure this out?
