  1. Just finished my first flight with the FS2Crew. WOW!!!!!!!Great Job and I highly recommend it! Will the FS9 version be extra for those who purchased the FSX version?Richie
  2. Well everybody is entitled to their opinion. I for one LOVE this A/C. I have none of the issues that I am hearing complaints about. I think PMDG just reaffirmed their status as THE maker of Quality add on aircraft. As for the engine sound ( whoever posted it), have you sat in a MD11 cockpit or you just want loud noise? They modeled it from the real thing. You can adjust the volume in FSX. I hear some of these complaints and just wonder if for the money spent, they want an actual cockpit in their homes? I read in another thread how someone was upset about the lack of wing views for FS9 ( BTW unreleased and they are complaining about it). Can you see the wings from the cockpit? NO. You want realism and fantasy all in one.The cockpits, 2D and VC , look spectacular. Maybe its a matter of some tweaks on the machines to get them to look right. No 2 computers work the same.Great Job PMDG!Richie
  3. I hit the "Z" after. That should stop it.Richie
  4. I have the Saitek Yoke and Throttles. I did have to go into FSUIPC and uncheck " reverse axis" on spoilers and flaps. All other a/c have it so those boxes must be checked. Odd, but not a issue. I just make it aircraft specific in FSUIPC.Richie
  5. I had already put the 3GB fix on my machine, a month or so ago( using XP) and I can tell you I have NO problems with this beautiful A/C. I am flying KJFK to TNCM now. I have the FlyTampa TNCM scenery and the FSDreamTeam JFK scenery so my machine is being tasked. Prior to the 3GB fix I would have CTD's with the LDS and the 744.Richie
  6. WOW! Just WOW!. Its early, but so far its exceeding my expectations. I will have to really learn it to get its full benefits. I did a few touch and gos and it handled great. I am currently airborne climbing out of KONT to KABQ. Great Job!Thank You Richie.
  7. Just downloaded it. I expect little to no sleep tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for keeping us informed as much as possible. Thanks Richie
  8. Well it seems like a fair price to me. Same as the 744. If people think that's expensive, check out the prices on other companies products, they don't even compare to PMDG quality.Just waiting to purchase it. Credit card on my keyboard. The combo is a great deal too. I will be getting both. F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 lolRichie
  9. I got tomorrow off! SWEET! Anything my wife expected me to get done tomorrow has a 0% chance of happening. Richie
  10. I am guessing the anticipation of the release may have something to do with the avsim servers being slow. I know I have contributed to that. Thanks for the heads up and oooooooooohhhhh its close. :)ThanksRichie
  11. This is great news. Depending on the price, I will purchase the X version. I plan on getting and using the FS9 version, but after 4 years of waiting I may get it for X. I installed X and have it running nice but all the good scenery and addons I have are for FS9. I plan on making the switch once enough addons are out for X.Either way, Great News!!!!!!!!!ThanksRichie
  12. Great News!! I am waiting for the FS9 version. Now my OCD for checking this forum will be kicking into high gear.Richie Walsh
  13. Well I don't see a problem with Currys opinions. How do we not know that he might....a) be a rated ATP in the MD11?:( is the maker of quality add on aircraft , better than PMDG?Well since I can't answer those questions, I will take the PMDG staff, and Beta testers words on their product. I will also take into account the quality and support PMDG has put out in the past.Richie WalshP.S. Sarcasm doesn't come through very well in text so maybe I should add there might be some sarcasm included in this post. ;)
  14. My new PC is only 3 months old. I had it built so it could handle FSX. I just have too many addons for FS9 to abandon it yet. Maybe, just maybe I will install it ( Yes I bought it a while ago ) when the MD11 gets released. I have been waiting years for it.Richie
  15. WOW!!! Congrats! Quite an achievement. Follow your dreams and best of luck in your career ahead.Richie
  16. Thanks Ben. This is great news. I am doing a fresh install now and then I am gonna make a back up.ThanksRichie :)
  17. I am downloading it now. I guess the wifes list of things for me to do today will have to be added to this weekends list. :)Richie Walsh
  18. When its ready , its ready. I would love to have it today but I want it as trouble free as possible. I agree that those who are the loudest about when it will be releases, are also the ones that will have the most "issues" with it. I have downloaded the manuals. Now I have to read them. I look forward to the release. :)Richie Walsh
  19. Well I am eagerly awaiting this a/c. Hopefully they will be able to hold their word about August. Although I would rather make sure it is as bug free as possible, so if that means going into Sept so be it......Richie Walsh
  20. I am also chomping at the bit to get this. I preordered it as well. It is the first FS product that I have done this for. I want it ASAP too, but I want it to be as bug free as possible. If its released too soon people will complain about bugs. I would rather let the beta testers find the bugs than to have it happen on approach of a 3 hr flight. This product should be a huge sucess. A good 757 payware has been lacking for way too long. I know 1 other company has made 1 but I find their products to be all eye candy and NO realism. So in closing I say....... GIMME GIMME GIMME I want it! :)
  21. I am trying to help a friend get started with online flying. I have helped a bunch of people recently and all are now flying online. My friend is another story. We got 2002 up and running for him. He did experience a problem with SB though. Everytime he turned his pc back on and tried to fly he would go through all the steps and before the splash screen for SB ( the click here to get into the action) it would say " SB has encountered an error and must shutdown" we found his Host SB dll was bad but he had to reinstall the Host SB dll everytime he started FS2002. So he wanted to use FS9. We successfully installed everything.but we get an error in the same place as 2002 and its the same error. We have uninstalled and reinstalled FS9, SB , SB hostdll FSUIPC. SB relay is working fine. Anyone run into this or have a solution suggestion? By the way we cant even get 2002 to connect anymore. Not even by replacing the SB host.dll.. I am stumped. I also had him update direct x thinking maybe that was the problem but no go. Your help is appreciated......... Richie
