  1. Ok, I was saying ON, just typo here. In any case... The frequency IS changing. I know because I can see it changing on the vatsim vPilot screen and I hear the vPilot audio change to a new controller. What is not changing is the visual displayed frequency in the 777. I also know it is changing because all I have to do is say SWAP COM1 SWAP COM1 and the display is properly refreshed with the correct frequency displayed. FS2Crew definately got the frequency change. There's just a problem between P3D, FS2Crew and PMDG somewhere where the visual display is not updated. I have the latest version of the 777 for P3D. And this is the latest verson of FS2Crew (Version 1.5 - 15th May). Edit: Just tested again. P3D, 777, FS2Crew: COM1 display is not updated, but the exact same test with COM2 does update the display. Sim Clock (08:43:16) - Captain: set one two two point eight zero on comm one (Copilot responds "Set", but the com1 display is not updated) Sim Clock (08:43:34) - Captain: set one two two point eight zero on comm two (Copilot responds "Set" and the com2 display is correctly updated) If I say SWAP COM1 then 122.80 is correctly displayed in the STANDBY display. And then saying SWAP COM1 again it is correctly displayed in the active display. Thanks, Jason
  2. When i say "SET nnn.nn IN COM1" the frequency displayed in the 777 radio panel does not change (displayed frequency does not change in either the VC or the 2D popup radio). However, the frequency is actually changed. It is only the display that is not refreshed. If I then say "SWAP COM1" "SWAP COM1" then I see the display updated properly. Thanks, Jason
  3. Depends on the aircraft and the scenery you are flying. I have a 4770k, water cooled, 4.5GHZ overclock, GTX 770 4GB, 16GB 2666DDR3CAS11, SSD drives, ASUS Maximus VI Formula. Everything I want maxed is maxed including additional cloud layers, enhanced overcast, and longer draw distance in ASN. FPS in my most complex aircraft range between 10 to 30 at different periods of flight (I have an external limiter set at 30, so don't care how high it could go). I dont know how your laptop CPU, memory, mobile video and motherboard compare, particularly without overclocking. I have heard (but not tested) that each 0.1 GHZ is only translated into about 1 fps (so from my 4.5 to your 3.8 would be about 7 fps if all other specs were equal). Just the difference in the mobile vs GTX 770 video has to translate into a few fps too. But even at times of 10 fps in very complex scenery (near large cities/airports) everything seems and runs so much smoother than my old computer. 10 fps is not 10 fps anymore. I don't watch the fps counter anymore and i don't watch the cpu meter any more either. Other nagging issues are gone as well... auto pilots behave better (little-to-no porpoising). It is not just visual fps that is improved by a more powerful system. My system is brand new, hand-built, and I did not spare any expense within reason (even the water-cooling is a bit tricked-out and "on display" [&dead silent]). But my point is you can get very enjoyable performance out of the newer high range computers and "maxed sliders" in some cases is not out of the question. There's a fluidity beyond the sliders & fps too (and i'm not talking about the water cooling ).. Jason
  4. Very minor issue for the patch list... The popup tooltip on the microphone says Landing Lights. Jason
  5. The panel light switch works fine independently, but when you change the Nav light switch position, it toggles the Panel light switch too. Jason
  6. Got them working now, both the C340 and the 208 Caravan... It was a corrupted FSX SP2 install. Sometime in the last year of installing addons and tweeking settings some element of the SP2 service pack was messed up. It wouldn't even alow me to reinstall just the service pack. I had to reinstall FSX base, then SP1 then SP2. But all is better now and I am enjoying both the 340 and the 208 (I put the RXP FLT, FLN, and GNS gauges in the 208, including the S-Tec autopilot -- which satisfied my need for tweeking :)).Jason
  7. Wx radar still does not work on my system (but, it does not work for me in the Caravan either so I must have some other issue on my system -- I get transparent VC in the Caravan and the throttle does not work).Somehow, these issues are related. These are the only two aircraft I have problems with. PMDGs, LDS, etc several other complex aircraft work fine. The Carenado Piper Saratoga works fine too. I wouldn't know I had a problem with the C340 if it wasn't for the weather radar, but the Caravan is completely messed up for me.Trying to think of the common denominator.Jason
  8. I have replaced the GNS unit with the rxp 530.Added a King-Air AP (with altitude and VS adjustments).I have replaced the transponder with the rxp GTX327.But I can not figure out how to replace the 24 TSO Radio at the top of the stack.Anyone have ideas, or is it like the 3D gauges that cant be retrofitted? Thanks,Jason
  9. Agreed, I wish I could retrofit my rxp gauges for a few of the provided gauges. The Airspeed indicator can't be adjusted for altitude temperature, for example. I find the altimeter a bit hard to read, and the HSI adjustment course/heading knobs are hard to dial in exact numbers. And, none of them can be popped up.Jason

ARRRRRRG! I can't believe it took me two days of searching to find this solution!I completely forgot that I had turned off "Advanced Animations".I could only get the Left Spoiler to operate (and that one didn't look very good either). Also just figured out now that I can see the spoilers (and by reading the manual a little more carefully) that arming them is simply to lift up on the handle (not to try to move it manually to the ground position). Now the autobrakes are working. This makes a huge difference ;)Jason
  11. Dave,What happens if you loose the #1 engine? Do the other blades just go to full pitch? Thanks,Jason
  12. I agree with Jeff...I can't comment on the quality of the SeriesX stack since I don't currently own anything but the default gauges/stack for FSX, but IMO the RXP stack will be worth the wait.I purchased the Dreamfleet Piper Dakota FS9 version only because they are offering a free upgrade to the FSX version when available. So, even though I use FSX for everything else now, I can still jump into this fantastic Dreamfleet model in FS9 while I'm waiting for the FSX version. The DF Dakota has the RXP GNS430 (and other RXP gauges), so since they are promissing a free upgrade to the FSX version, it can't be that far off into the future. Lou Betti (Dreamfleet) is working closely with Reality-XP, so there must be something in the works.I'm really enjoying the RXP GNS430 (and the Dakota). For me, the realism and working features of the GNS make GA flying as fun as a fully functional FMC does in big-iron flying. I won't go back to the default stack.Jason
  13. In the screenshots, the xgauge is always north-up. Is there a heading-up mode? Thanks,Jason
  14. Sorry John,But this has nothing to do with exchange rates and global economy at all.The seller told me what I would have to pay and they told me using my local currency. They then linked me directly to their sponsored store (they have agreements with SimMarket).Jason
  15. >> You chose to buy from a site that quoted 33 Euros and said it didn't give refundsNo, I chose to buy from HiFiSim's web site. I didn't go shopping around on my own.I clicked on the "> Buy Now! <" button on HiFiSim's site right next to a price announcement of $37.99 USD. They chose to link me into SimMarket's checkout system, not me.Jason
  16. Thank you Roger,I understand, but I clicked the ">> Buy Now <<" button on HiFiSim's website right next to the $37.99 USD statement. It did not say "Buy Now 33 Euros" it said $37.99 USD. The linked store checkout page did say 33 Euros. I was just misled into believing that the resulting charged amount would be 37.99 USD.It is probably more correct to say that HiFiSim should remove the USD quoted price from their website than it is to blame SimMarket, but I really didn't like SimMarket's response either (to late, sorry, not our problem, read the policy, go away).HiFiSim has since offered to correct the discrepency since SimMarket would not.It is probably best to put this one to bed as it seems to only be causing arguments. It was only $4. I'm over it. I'll contact HiFiSim at the email address they gave me. It was just frustrating.Jason
  17. >> When I travel in Europe and use my credit card I'm charged in Euros but billed in
  18. Apparently I did not have the "Currencies" dropdown set properly in the SimMarket store to signal me that the checkout price did not match the advertised price.Net: HiFiSim, you should remove the $37.99 price advertisment from your website that is directly above the link to the store checkout since SimMarket is not honoring that price.Jason
  19. I just felt misled. Partly due to the notice and link on the HiFi site and then partly due to my confusion on the SimMarket site (I'm almost sure they used to tell you the converted price at checkout).Ernie, I purchased your FSBuild2 from SimMarket a year ago and I knew exactly what I was being charged at checkout ($37.46). You didn't have one price listed on your product website and then a different price directly below at checkout.OK, it was $4+ bucks... I'm over it.Jason
  20. >You should have purchased it from Flight 1 or from the HiFi>sim website as they charge in US Dollars.Exactly! As I said at the top of this thread, consider "where you might be inclined to purchase from next time..."Jason
  21. There is a price listed on the author's website and a link to "their" store (they have some kind of price negotiation between the store and the author and who get's what cut). That's not my issue to figure out. The price I was told I would pay on the product website is not what I was charged.A product I purchased in 2005 from SimMarket had a clear USD price as I checked-out.A product I purchased in 2004 from SimMarket had a clear USD price as I checked-out.This time I did not notice and I wasn't thinking that I should have to worry about it (in retrospect I saw that they did NOT publish the usd price this time). The price was clearly marked on the author's site and the linked-to store is working on behalf of the seller.Jason
  22. Both the HiFi website and Flight1's site say the ASv6 price is $37.99. I was charged $42.25 by SimMarket.
