Now I think back I'm pretty sure rocketfs and RYR738 are correct. I just haven't flown the PMDG aircraft in a while..... Did circumnavigate Australia in a Cessna though. Took about 70 hours all up.....

Prior to SP1 I was pretty sure entering DEP/ARR arrival for an ILS runway, the frequency was automatically selected for NAV1 when approaching the destination. Pressing VOR/LOC first would intercept the rwy, once the localiser was active pressing APP would intercept the localiser. After the G/S was active CMD B could be selected for autoland.Since SP1 I'm finding the frequency for the ILS has to be manually input, otherwise pressing APP just makes the aircraft turn in circles.Does anybody have this issue after SP1 or am I so far out of practice not having used FSX for a few weeks?

If this is the case I'd be looking at scenery problems...........

Virgin Australia use a CI of 40 I'm told......0 or 100 is probably unrealistic. Most airlines are using lower CI's due to the increased cost of fuel compared to cheaper airfares. Hope this helps.

There's no cruise alt or land alt set......Also not sure if it has to do with the iso valve being open as opposed to auto.

I understand that.....It's the center engine start switch I'm referring to, but reading the original post I may have mistaken the point of the topic.....

The engine start switch needs to be set to the right, Eng No. 2. Your procedures above don't advise this.....In this case the engine start switch would be set to the left, Eng No.1.......

Did you set the start switch to right for engine 2?

The aircraft is outside the 10 mile radius, which is probably why you can't "see" it......

I got it working, but for me it just didn't suit......Settled for EZDOK instead with some buttons activated on my yoke to access the main views I use in a hurry.

I've been using pc's for near 30 years and not ever have i noticed any speed difference from defraging.....It's a way over the top misconception, in my opinion. It may have had some merits years ago when hard drives were slower, but as the speeds have increased the necessity for defraging becomes increasingly pointless. If people derive comfort from thinking there pc's are in top nick in part because the drive is defragged then it's about the only valid point to me. Just my opinion......

There's a file in C:\users\appdata\roaming\microsoft\fsx\simobjects\"aircraft_type"\state.cfg which has the total hours each engine has operated. Reducing this may solve the servicing problem?

Has anybody tried reducing the hours of the engine by amending the file?

I'm trying to get LINDA working with the GoFlight MCP-Pro but it isn't working.I have the latest version of FSUIPC installed, (registered), and have complied with, (well at least I think I have?), all the installation requirements.The LINDA console starts with FSX but it does appear to register an error stating"[E] *** LUA Error: ...es\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\NGX_AUTO.lua:1728: attempt to call field 'terminate' (a nil value)"I have the MCP-Pro and EFIS installed.......Any help would be appreciated.

I'd be surprised if altering your BIOS affects FSX??

My recommendation, and I repeat, recommendation, is anyone who flies using 2D should try a dozen flights getting use to the VC. My bet is, most will never use the 2D panels again...........

Jason, I recently upgraded my pc for FSX, including ORBX YMML, YBBN, YSCB, YSTW, YSCF. My specs are in my signature. Ordered all the parts thru i-tech.com.au MB $216, I7-2600k $314, EVGA Geforce GTX570HD SC 1280MB $425, G.SKILL Ripjaws-X 8GB (4GB x 2) $159 Very happy with my rig, runs FSX terrific.......Only issue is I seem to lose some building with YBBN. Totally agree......
