  1. 99% - great - Instead of guessing around, which sliders are a GPU ONLY effect. This list would be nice for everyone. Don't know if this makes a difference on the loading @20% vs 90%. I am running my 780-ti at 1180 Mhz instead of stock. BTW the @ 20% is the norm I do see it spike up to @ 40% every now and then.
  2. good question My GPU is normally @ 20% Loaded. GTX780-ti. It would be nice if LM would add code so we could Move stuff to the GPU and off the CPU using config settings. This would allow people to balance their system with their current hardware instead of one solution fits all. If I move sliders from where I am at now the CPU takes most of the hit = stutters.
  3. Whenever I try to check for updates to there products the update program (checker) keeps returning host site down unable to connect. Does everyone get this? There site I think only mentions updates from 2012. Is this correct? Since they do not have a forum where does everyone go for panel cfg's to help when you run into problems and how will people find out about updates? Lot of questions in the above. Most interested in the (host site down unable to connect) using there update program
  4. Found myself consistently tweaking instead of flying. Sad I fell into the easy trap which actually kept me from flying for enjoyment. Found no joy in tweaking, just constant frustration. For me I found the following after a long time of tweaking. NO extra tweaks inserted (i.e AffinityMask, FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION, TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT adjustment) = smoothest for my machine adjusted display and traffic setting to suit weather conditions Unlimited frame rate EVGA limiter set to 30.
  5. I have three of there planes now. The way things are going it may be the last. Just did another test. Last one was a week ago. I am not showing 30fps before it was showing @ 2-4FPS. But still getting stutters. The sound is also stutter along with it. I'm beginning to think the sound files are the problem. I will do some tinkering to see if that is it. BTW I have done nothing to have caused this change that I know of. So it was NOT the sound files. Was worth a try.
  6. Purchased Eaglesofts DA42 for P3D and getting stutters so bad the sound even stops. (~1 sec intervals for about 1 sec each time). All other addons work just fine. (i7 3820 @ 4.3 Ghz and GTX780 ti) When trying to log on to the forums it turns out my access has been turned off. So I followed instructions and sent them an Email asking for renew my access on MAY 23rd. Hearing nothing from them in any form I again sent another email 6/2/14. Have they just left us with no support? If I can't get support there has anyone had this problem with DA42 and P3d. The way it is now its not even close to usable. Help from the sidelines here? Tom Jones
  7. I found it. Not as obvious as precisionX to get to. Did not find it on the graphical interface.
  8. And the frame rate lock in MSI Afterburner would be located where?????
  9. I am running a I7 3820 @ 4.4Ghz with a 780 TI (overclocked also, to 1200). My three screen resolution is 5974X1080 (bezel corrected) using Nvidia surround. The following is some of my relevant config setting in FSX. [bUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=0 [GRAPHICS] SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED=1693500672 TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 NUM_LIGHTS=8 AIRCRAFT_SHADOWS=0 AIRCRAFT_REFLECTIONS=1 COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=1 LANDING_LIGHTS=1 AC_SELF_SHADOW=1 EFFECTS_QUALITY=2 GROUND_SHADOWS=0 TEXTURE_QUALITY=3 IMAGE_QUALITY=0 See_Self=1 Text_Scroll=1 SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED_10=1693500673 D3D10=1 HIGHMEMFIX=1 ForceFullScreenVSync=0 ForceWindowedVSync=0 MultiSamplesPerPixel=2 MultiSampleQuality=0 SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=1 [Main] FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.15 DisablePreload=0 [Display] BLOOM_EFFECTS=1 SKINNED_ANIMATIONS=1 TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80 UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=30 WideViewAspect=True RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.9 //adjust values to suit your scale RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.8 RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.8 RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.9 [TrafficManager] AirlineDensity=18 GADensity=0 FreewayDensity=0 ShipsAndFerriesDensity=0 LeisureBoatsDensity=0 Notice I have had to turn down some settings with this wide screen setup. (Single screen setup I can max out just about everything) Nvidia inspector settings AA is application controlled with 2x sparse Grid Supersampling selected. I am also running with FS Global 2010 mesh and orbits vector graphics installed. I run a comfortable 30FPS locked using PMDG 737 everywhere except large cities where it starts spiking down to 19-20. Even with this large card the CPU cant hang. In P3D I can still bring this card to its knees with everything max'd out at this large resolution (don't ask what it looks like with all of that AND Its raining in a thunderstorm using ASN). All that being said. Recommend the following for a 3 screen setup. TrackIR, and EZDOK 1. Ensure widescreen in config is set to TRUE. 2. Adjust the screen zoom on your default aircraft to 1.00. 3. Realign 3d cockpit view with ezdoc to a realistic pilots view. 4. Adjust TrackIR so a small head movement down will take you straight to the business end of the panel. Doing #2 above (I just said Doing #2) This will remove all fish-eye effect on the ground and make it look realistic to either side panels. HOWEVER the 3D image of the cockpit will still be fish-eyed. Since I have been using it for about 3 weeks now (3 screens) I find I no longer even see the cockpit side walls anymore only the outside ground/air. Which is stunning. To help with this is why I recommended #3 above. If you set in a normal position and not to far back it looks much better. I am quite happy with my current setup. The 780-TI is a great card but not the end all of a total system. You will still need trade offs with this high resolution screen setup. Tom Jones
  10. Hmmm, still no name attached to this out cry of joy! Still wants to be hidden. Good for him but it would be nice to share in the fix. Thomas Jones
  11. Andydigital Thanks for the feedback, and I did send an email to vrinsight letting them know of this condition. Since it seems like at least one other person that may have this problem. VRinsight may have gotten a recent bad batch of power supplies from their vendor. But all in all I am very happy with the product.
  12. Moderators please delete if you don't feel this topic discussion belongs here for info. I know there is a vri forum also. I know this is a LINDA forum but since most MCP owners may look through here for help. FYI I received my new MCPII, hooked up everything and when I turned it on the yellow back lighting would just flash very briefly every second but the unit never initialized and the blue displays never lit up. I cycled the power switch multiple times until finally it started. This became a routine "Never knowing how may cycles of the power switch it would take". Doing this could not be good for the unit. To me it seemed like it was not getting enough power to start up. The power supply that was sent was a universal i.e. "all AC voltage input to 5V DC 1 amp" 120V AC - 240VAC - 50Hz -60Hz. I was a little skeptical when reading the stats on the unit AND It was light as a feather. I just felt cheap. So instead of going through the hassle of sending the unit back for replacement/or repair and crying over my bad luck I went and got a new 5V DC power supply with this one rated a 2 Amps (and a 6ft cord length ) from Radio Shack. Since it was a multi use power supply I had to get a "M" plug connector for it (The connector type on the back of the MCP II unit if your wondering). When I fired it, up BINGO it works every time. I am so happy. SO if your unit starts to just flash in intervals without starting up OR just starts doing it after starting I would suspect your power supply is bad or going bad in not supplying enough voltage. I know I could have said all this with just a few words but I wanted to be clear on faulty unit indications I was receiving. PLEASE remember the power supply is a 5V DC. DO NOT USE A HIGHER VOLTAGE. I am so happy now. Tom
  13. No still has the drop Tom
