I'm 15 mins by bike from ESOW - Sweden's first airforce base. Now closed but serves as a small civil airport hosting pretty good airshows every spring. And 1 hour drive from ESSA Stockholm/Arlanda from where I flew to KEWR a couple of weeks ago.

Yep, the different accounts was the problem!PMDG merged my 744X account into my new e-mail address/account.Make sure you buy the -8i/F with the same email address as the 744X!Can't imagine different credit cards would pose any problems though....and Wow! Beautiful bird, and she sounds great too!

I bought the 747-400X and -8i/F with different accounts too!Maybe that could be the problem?

Getting the same error message as well!Have tried Adrian's advice, the code is there in the registry.But it isn't working.Have e-mailed support though, see what they'll say...

Brian, after installing the Saitek controls there will be ghost buttons assigned to the controls.You must make sure you delete unwanted joystick commands for both the rudder pedals and the yoke:Select Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals in the Controller type.Scroll down through Buttons/Keys and make sure there are no joystick button assignments to them.Do the same under Control Axes to check only the rudder and brakes axes are assigned, also reverse the brake axes.Then Select Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and check only the joystick commands you want are assigned.Otherwise the yoke and rudder pedals will trigger unwanted commands, e.g. a brake command which will disengage the autobrakes during landing roll.And, as stated above, the rudder brake axes won't work properly with the PMDG autobrakes unless you calibrate the brake axes in FSUIPC.Best regards

Hi all!Just recently discovered I need FSX sp2 for the PMDG MD-11 (and other add-ons), have been running it on sp1 until now.But my FSX just won't run with sp2! I can start a flight but when using the menus in FSX it freezes and I have to Ctr+Alt+Del it to shut it down,making it a pretty useless sim for obvious reasons!I'm running Win XP sp3 and have plowed through various forums to solve the problem but nothing helps!Not a specific issue with PMDG but I thought somebody might have a clue? :(Best regardsMattias Nordin

Hi!This discussion seems to be about Win 7.I'm running XP sp3 and and can't get the menus to work in FSX after installing sp2.Reinstalled FSX in the C: root and tried the UIAutomationCore.dll thing but couldn't register it.Is it even possible do this in XP?Excuse me for being a beginner with troubleshooting!RegardsMattias Nordin

Hi Captains,Installed SP2 but it causes FSX freeze up when using the menus, e.g. when trying to look at a replayor creating a flight plan.Have to Ctrl+Alt+Del shutdown the sim and restart.Works fine with SP1 but I need SP2 for some planes like the A2A P47.Any ideas?RegardsMattias Nordin

Well it depends on what you are doing at V1. If you're trying to get airborne at V1 the likelihood of a crash increases.You should wait for VR (rotate speed) to take off.Have you tried another airport/runway?regards

Hi Perry,Have you tried reversing your brake axis? That's what I had to do with the Saitek pedals, or else I'd get a brake lock up.Don't know the best way to uninstall, anyone else? Reinstall the whole deal?Mattias NordinESOW

Hi,I also have problems with the autobrakes. It appeared after the update (MD11X version).Worked fine before, maybe got something to do with my Saitek gear after all.Think I'll uninstall the update for now! :( Mattias NordinESOW
