  1. Besides, that's not even true. Windows certification for windows 8 is different based on platform: for x86 hardware, secure boot is to be enabled by default BUT manufacturers MUST provide an option to disable it (at UEFI level), in order to pass certification. ARM hardware manufacturers, on the contrary, must not do so.Just to clarify things a bit.
  2. Very nice looking :) I can't wait to get my hands on it.That said, I just want to point out something else to the naysayers: we still don't know any details, so let's all wait to have the finished product before passing a final judgement.Besides, even if we don't like it, there will ALWAYS be limits in a computer simulation. Sure, modelling the entire earth with a 9m precision (airports, city buildings, you name it) would be insanely COOL, 100% percent realistic systems on ALL airplanes, full ATC and all that...But would the price of such a piece of software be actually affordable by common folks? I don't think so :)
  3. A fantastic looking Lancaster.Grats from Switzerland.
  4. I assumed he meant FS9 in fullscreen mode :) But I could be wrong...
  5. I can't sleep, so I might as well answer :)It is technically possible to do what you want, just not with a common setup (i.e. another monitor attached to the second video output of the video card). What you need is a so called "video splitter".Matrox as a nice product which does just that: DualHead2Gohttp://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/dh2go/If you want to add a third monitor, TripleHead2Go is what your're looking for.Beware, these devices are not cheap (on this side of the pond, converted to $, around 300 a piece).
  6. For me it would be POSKY Models with VASFMC (Even though I own both Wilco and Overland ones)
  7. This. Mostly for sentimental reasons (took it first time I went to Hong Kong). And the lady is still flying as D2-TEB ;)
  8. Yep, that is the MAIN reason I also bought iFly's NG. PMDG 737 was a GREAT companion for all these "years", but, like all good things, it's time to move on. And, we are expressing personal opinions, there's actually nothing wrong with somebody thinking differently. :)
  9. +1LIME http://www.oriovirtu...m.it/index1.htmLIEO (by ISD, on avsim)And add to those the most EXCELLENT FreeZ - LSZH (http://lszh.aviation-art.ch/)p.s. http://www.freewares....com/fs2004.php and http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx.php(just as reminder to everyone)
  10. Yea, that one, thanks :( You'll see th C919 go into production for sure, if only because of the Chinese government pushing it. AND the prospect of strong Domestic sales.
  11. Both planes are modern, efficient and performant pieces of machinery. And fun to fly too (both as passenger and crew). Choice belongs to other factors, as others have said. Just let me add one thing tough: if Boeing doesn't develop a new short-medium range soon, they'll stay behind. Not only Airbus, but Embraer (which is the third manufacturer in the world), Bombardier and that Chinese manufacture I always forgot the name.
  12. Thanks a lot! :D Those finally make my jetliner collection complete.
  13. My personal list:Airbus:A300 : HNACA318-A319-A320 : Project Airbus with VASFMC panel. iFDG is also not bad (especially since the Repaints selection seems to be much bigger). But I'm having trouble using VASFMC with them.A330-A340 : Project Opensky, also with VASFMC panel.A380 : I think pretty much the entire FS comunity is waiting for Project Airbus one. And rightly so.I own Wilco's products and I fly them from time to time, but vasfmc is so cool :DBoeing:B707 : HJGB727 : HJGB737 : Tinmouse for the -200 version, the rest, PMDG. I used to fly with POSKY models, but they have been rusting lately.B747 : Project Opensky. 200 and 300. For the 400 there's simply no way you can resist the PMDG one...B757 : Captain Sim.B767 : Level-D.B777 : Project Opensky 777 merged with PSS panel.Embraer:Wilco products (135, 145, 170 190 and Lineage 1000). Is there any decent freeware?McDonnell Douglas:DC-8 HJGDC-9 HJG MD-8x SGA used to be nice (and still is). If only Maddog wasn't so freaking expensive...DC-10 CLS. I don't know of any freeware.MD-11 Buy PMDG. If you really really really really really want freeware, iFDG.Fokker:Project Fokker, of course :)Others:HJG CaravelleHJG BAe-146Project Tupolev, all their realeases really. IL-62, TU-154. Anyone know where I can find a decent IL-86 (and possibly IL-96) too?
  14. According to early reports, a Afriqiyah A330 crashed this morning. Al-Jazeera is saying the plane was coming from South Africa, it happened in clear weather, just short of runway 09, killing all 105 on board. My heart goes to the victims, not a good way to star work today. :(edit:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8676758.stm
