Nice! 1st update in some time, and they give us two big things! First, Vans RV-6, then, 1st look at a pilot! Very cool. Not only that, but a screenshot in a large city! :( Big%20Grin.gif Hopefully they have even more for E3 in two weeks!

Oh my god that is awesome!!!!:Shocked:If anyone knows the locations of the first two shots, I'll get to work on the comparisons in FSX. Big%20Grin.gifI also would like to know what type of plane that is...

Holy Cow, the airport doesn't look like LegoLand with the surrounding grass. IT BLENDS! That Vans is pretty cool. :(

It certainly is looking very nice...I like the wave action No.2..... Landscapes seem far more natural and i particularly like the look of the mountain rock formations. The new textures are great

Looks excellent! Except for the area with cars near the beach, I really like the shoreline integration with both the water and the vegetation.Kind regards,

Looking good, except still no frame rate counter on those :(

MVGibbage called it, it's an RV6! :)Which, is funny, because as I loaded the screen shots, I was thinking please don’t let it be a 7.I’ve put my heart and soul into an upcoming RV7 add-on.But it’s definitely a 6…by the vertical stabilizer...and wing-tip fairings. And if they’ve done their home work…the wing spar gives the belly of the fuselage a slight V-shape.The center bulkhead on a 6 is narrower than a 7 too. There’s an 8 coming out…by another developer. So I’m thrilled! for Vans fans like me, we’ll have a 6, a 7, and an 8 :)All in all, Flight looks like sort of a tip of the hat to the spirit of the EAA :(

Good eye! ITs hard to tell the 6 and 7 appart. The tail is about the only differance. I think the 7 is like a foot longer with a taller stab?

Yeah, in fact, there are a few 7’s flying with the 6 style v-stab. The new 7’s borrowed the rudder from the 8 (if I recall). It has more area. Van wanted to improve spin recovery. It’s also counter balanced with a weight forward of the hinge-line. It’s a slight measure of safety against flutter. They are very clean aircraft and pointed down a careless pilot can exceed designed speeds quickly.

That looks really good; I especially like lighting/shadows. What a great platform this will be for third party devs.Only thing missing is volumetric clouds. That would certainly be nice.
