  1. Just saw this on the SimStop web site and wondered if anyone else had seen news anywhere. Looks really good news! http://www.simstop.com/2014/03/31/new-flight-simulator-announced/
  2. When in inside or outside view, hold the right mouse button down and use the mouse to look around. Gets round that problem. Also, you can assign numberpad 0 to 8 (I think it goes to 8) to preset views for each aircraft you fly. Set the view you want by using the cursor left right, up and down keys (NOT the numberpad ones) to move, then use the right click mouselook to angle how you want the view. Hold the CTRL key down then press the 1 key on the numberpad. (Numlock ON) . Do the same for any other view you want to set up. Once you have all the keys assigned, just press the number and it will jump to that view. You can then set joystick buttons with the keyboad shortcut so you can move views easily. Don't forget, mousewheel scroll zooms in and out as well.
  3. Generally, the boxed version of a product pays for advertising and marketing the product. The download version doesn't do that. When Flight1 or Aerosoft for example, agree with a developer to publish the product in box format, the box then gets listed in catalogues, on Amazon, in retail stores etc and that brings a larger market than 'net-savvy' download customers. There is also an element of trust in users that if they purchase the box, they won't have problems with corrupted downloads, lost keys etc. Publishing a product is a team effort between a developer and a publisher.
  4. I have just re-installed FSX from scratch, SP1 and SP2. Win7 64 Home. VoxATC worked fine before but now loading the VoxATC window and clicking enable gives a Fatal Error, disable VoxATC message in the window. Any ideas what is causing it. Had it working well before the re-install. It didn't allow me to input the license code this time as it stated already registered. Where is the license saved so I can delete it and try to re register. Thanks. Dave.
  5. I am using Ideal Flight to create the flight. I loaded the IdealFlight.PLN file into the Sid Star Wizard and set up Lam4M as a SID and also a star at my destinattion. Now, whenever I create a flight, VoxATC always asks me to fly that SID regardless of what airport I am starting from. I have tried deleting the Ideal Flight.pln file and creating a brand new one but it always remembers that SID. Is there a manual config file anywhere to remove the entry?
  6. MyTraffic X 5.4 Pro came out after the Audio Environment product so not sure that is compatible and I think from memory that is mentioned on the product pages. TSS can't provide any updates to Audio Environment as they had a burglary and lost everything. All computers, master files and backups have been stolen. You could try manually copying files across into the relavent folders. Also, one of the reasons for lack of sound and problems is that the FSX sound cones do not work with some onboard sound chips. You do need a proper sound card!
  7. You will find many posts answering pre purchase questions on the official support forum. Threads have been locked when clear examples of piracy have been found. If you ask a question on the iFly General forum, it will be answered and with the money back guarantee, I don't see the point in your pay and pray statement! If you don't like the product for any reason, Flight1 refund your money. I don't see any other publisher who has that attitude, and as this forum header clearly states, THIS forum is ONLY for the freeware iFly products NOT the commercial ones.
  8. The iFly has a General discussion section open without buying the product to answer any questions you have and other satisfied or not satisfied users will tell you what they think. Flight1 offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all their software so buy it and try it... or is it as it appears, that most posters on here would rather pirate it, then expect iFly/Flight1 to give you support?
  9. Yeah well brah... Buy the product and registar yo bro!
  10. Unfortunately, people who reply to 'support' questions on this forum are not helping. Users of the iFly 737NG MUSt use the official support forum to prevent piracy. The support forum has a great community there and offers far more than just technical support. If a potential purchaser wants to know anything about the aircraft, the forum has a non licensed General area for that purpose. Do NOT discuss the 737 in this forum please as I am sure this is against AVSIM rules too!.
  11. The answer is on the registered support forum Please register for support here.
  12. If you are having problems registering for the official support forum, please contyact Flight1. This forum is NOT for support on the iFly 737NG.
  13. This forum should NOT be about the iFly 737 as that has its own dedicated support forum . Please register for support for the commercial products.
  14. But you do have to admire anything that cracks down on illegal downloads. Flight sim is not a big money gaming/film/music industry and to see developers work being pirated will only kill the future developments for all flight simmers. I am fully in favour of chopping their goolies off! I hope all members of Avsim agree.
  15. You don't state what AI package you are using, but if you read the post above, you will see we have taken these comments onboard and have already updated the UT2 sound pack to give stronger internal sounds. The other AI sound packs will be updated as soon as TSS can do them. To give you an idea of the difference, I was flying near Gatwick in cockpit view in a Cessna noise machine and a 767 came from behind and above and scared the life out of me. Maybe not realistic but effective. Please don't give up on the product as we have taken on board that some users prefer the louder sounds. Flight Xpress magazine have just published a review of the product without the sounds this month and have promised an update with the new sound pack next month, so hopefully that will confirm what I m saying.Regards.Dave.
  16. Flight1 and TSS are pleased to announce that we have produced an update for Audio Environment which enhances Ultimate Traffic 2 AI traffic sounds heard from inside the cockpit.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...D=198527#198527We are hoping but cannot promise that the other sound packs will also be updated at this stage.Dave. Please see the UT2 update post here.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...D=198527#198527 We have taken user views on board and enhanced the sounds from inside for UT2 users only at the moment. We are hoping TSS will update all AI packages but can't promise that at the moment.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...D=198527#198527Dave. Hi Robert,As you are using UT2, you may be interested in the update here:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...D=198527#198527Dave. Hi Robert,As you are uysing UT2, you may be intersted in this update:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...D=198527#198527Dave.
  17. You may have perhaps assumed the links for "startup" sound files demonstrated on the product page were the AI aircraft? In which case I apologise for any misunderstanding. They are the full sound packages and constitute the bulk of the product. The two bottom links are the sounds you hear from the AI external view. As I said before, if you don't like it for any reason, then please feel free to obtain a refund. You can obtain a refund here. Let me know if you have any problem and I will personally follow it up.
  18. The product states very clearly what it does. In both AI and full sound set replacement. In terms of everything included in the package, it is still very good value for money. The sounds on the web site and videos are recorded from the sim, so are exactly what you get.The Configuration Manager screens actually show both tabs, not just AI, it happens to be open on the AI tab. Not because that is the main part of the product, one tab had to be open / first. The copy is written to explain all aspects of what you get in the product. I challenge you to fly the default LearJet with FSX sounds, then load the sounds and tell me it is no better, or not powerful. Sure you won't use that as you explained, but it is part of the product and adds to the "value" for the users who do want default aircraft replacement. Just not YOU.If you haven't tried the sounds in default flyable aircraft, you are missing a big feature of the product. They are a massive improvement over default. Likewise with the AI sounds, the external sounds ARE loud and powerful, and the internal sounds are quieter which many users have agreed is realistic. Perhaps you haven't configured your system correctly. Are you using 2.1 / Stereo speaker setting?By all means express your opinion, but advising people not to buy a product because YOU only want a small part of that product that doesn't meet your perception is plain wrong! As Flight1 have a refund policy, it is not as though we are trying to cheat you! Anyone who wants to try the product can do so at no risk. We have had hundreds of downloads in the few weeks since release (with no marketing yet until the box release) and only about 3 refunds. Those were because of the MTX problem which is now fixed and waiting release of version 1.2.I am very sorry you feel the product is not for you, but if you look at the other comments in this thread, it is a well received product and did not deserve the very negative post.
  19. Nice statement to make without any expanation of why you don't like the product What is it you don't like? Kind of a pointless negative statement in my opinion! Have you tried the aircraft sounds in the default flyable airliners. If you had they retail at $15 each from TSS and this pack gives you 5 sets. Pretty good value. Plus you get a FREE utility to install those sounds into any aircraft. Plus you get the AI traffic which works with the main AI traffic packages. I don't see why you are so negative!
  20. Once the sound pack is installed, select a similar aircraft from the Audio Environment/Pakages folder and copy the soundai folder to your aircraft. (First rename the original soundai folder to xsoundai or similar). Full instructions in the manual. Buy it and try it. Flight1 offer a no quibble money back guarantee if you are not happy.
  21. The MTX 5.2 issue including repeat sounds (MTX uses the same registration number for several aircraft and if they happen to be at the smae airport, it caused the repeat issue) is fixed and in final testing so will be online later this week as well as being the master for the boxed edition. Also, bear in mind the primary idea behind the product was to provide the sound packs for the default airliners you fly as they are normally around $15 each, so a good value package. The AI sounds were an extra. The good thing is the AI sounds seem to be being looked at as the main part of the package and most users seem happy with it. As for the marketing mentioned earlier in the thread, that will happen soon once the boxed version is released in the next few weeks. Watch out for ads in the usual magazines.Dave.
  22. WOAI is not one of the supported packages in the automatic installer (See product spec page for the supported packages) which is why it made no difference for you. I see from the post below that you have manually installed to the WOAI aircraft, so you should hear the difference now. Also, if you have any issues with sounds being faint or sound cones not panning correctly, make sure your speakers are set to 2.1 or Stereo as FSX doesn't like surround sound 5.1 or 7.1.Dave. Audio Environment Product Manager.
  23. TSS is Turbine Sound Studios. A totally different Company and not connected to Alan at all. TSS produce individual aircraft sound packs and worked with Flight 1 on the Audio Environment project. That replaces all the default airliners and also the AI traffic sounds for most commercial packages. Alan Constable makes Traffic Sounds Xtreme which is just replacement AI traffic sounds. Hope that clears the confusion up.Dave. They are individual aircraft whereas Audio Environment replaces all of the main Airliners sounds in one package.
