  1. Hi.Perhaps SP2 is already done and there is only a problem with the EULA of this service pack??? So we will "just" have to wait until their lawyer has finished polishing the EULA of the NGX SDK and then will find some time to polish the EULA of SP2? :Whistle:Sorry, but after all the time being quiet and waiting for this SP2, there's only sarcasm left from my side......BTW: I am affected by this flickering issue (for which PMDG apparently already found the reason). Not always, but when it appears it is impossible to finish the flight.
  2. Now that is a good sign for us "software-only" pilots: If you mistake the simulated CDU for the real one, then PMDG must have done a good job But I will try if activating the new waypoint has any impact on this. Because I did not active it in my attempts.Regards,Martin
  3. Hi,I don't think that they will add any functionality to the JS41. But sometimes I have this flickering issue, which makes it almost impossible to finish a flight without going insane. That's even more frustrating if you are flying online. As far as I remember, it was mentioned by PMDG that this flickering will be addressed in a service pack. I was waiting quite some time now, because SP2 was scheduled to be released after the release of the 737 NGX.Well, the 737 was released. One team is working on a 777, another one on the 737. So I think it is appropriate to ask if SP2 was abandoned or not.Regards,Martin
  4. Ok, I think that I have to insert "WPT01" into the FIX page and enter "radial" and "distance" with LSK 2L. This way I get a green circle and line for this point. In RL one could copy this new waypoint from the FIX page to the scratchpad and insert it on the LEGS page, but this does not work with the NGX?!Regards,Martin
  5. Hi Rafael,I am not able to create a waypoint this way. When I enter the current GPS position to Legs LSK 1L, I get a waypoint named "WPT01". If I copy this waypoint to the scratch pad and append bearing and distance (e.g. "WPT01075/20"), I get an error message "not in data base".What I am doing wrong?Regards,Martin
  6. Hi.Me too, I would appreciate a small statement from PMDG if they are actually working on SP2. I know that there are no "release dates" (although there were quite some specific dates for the 737 NGX and the fixpacks), but at least some information if SP2 will be done and if it will be released in the near future. With all the energy they put into the 737 and now even the 777, I hope that PMDG did not forget the JS41. I still love this bird, because it is so different than "big" planes with a full blown FMS (like in the 737).Regards,Martin
  7. I agree 100% with you. I was posting something similar (that I cannot understand why they didn't prepare much more in advance) on the site of AOA, but the guys from AOA deleted all of the older posts. For me it is unacceptable if someone is deleting posts, because I get the impression that someone has to hide something. But that is a different discussion. And I still stick by the statement, that the 2nd video (caution and warning) is simply a boosted up Powerpoint presentation. Sure, it looks very impressive with the brushed background and the words flying around from the left and right side. But from 0:00 to 2:30 and from 12:10 to the end, the video contains almost only text. And the speaker is simply reading this text - often word by word. This is no good presentation style, and I am able to read the text on the slides by myself. In short: I am interested in informations about the plane and in learning. Not in a high end and shiny video production. I do not agree with others who say that the second video is "brilliant" (it is brilliant in terms of video production, but not brilliant in terms of learning/training). I really hope that things are getting better. The latest update from AOA from 10/10/11 is promising, but until now, they didn't fulfill my expectations.
  8. Hi Tom. Thank you for this excellent tutorial. Martin

Hi. I like this tutorial, too. Did the guys from PMDG already state, when their cold & dark tutorial will be available? I remember something that I should be released after the release of the airplane. Ok, found this section in the first PMDG tutorial: Are there any details about "soon"? Martin
  10. Hi Paul, the EDDF charts at fly-sea.com are a little bit out of date (Aug 2007). The charts on VATSIM are almost up to date (Mar 2011) and they do not contain any speed restrictions (except 250 knots below FL100) and only one alt. restriction "at or above FL80". But anyway, I was too fast. Martin
  11. Hi. Ignat and Themis, you are right. I was too fast for this turn. With my "other" Boeing 767 I am usually already below FL100 at DF608. Thus, the speed restriction of 250 knots jumps in and the turns are fine. I just flew this transition again with the 737 NGX - this time I reduced the speed to 250 knots and the turn was okay. No overshooting. Thanks,Martin
  12. Hi, I have a very strange problem with the NGX: In VNAV mode the autopilot shows a tendency to overshoot the course. After overshooting, it starts to rock left and right to get back on course. An example where this behavior is really extreme is the PSA 25S transition at EDDF. You can take a look at the charts on Vatsim. I recorded this flight on Youtube (see below). The video starts right in the middle of a left turn over DF607. As you can see, the autopilot is overshooting the new course (248°) to DF608. In fact, it turns until 221° (at 0:55 in the video). Then it starts rocking right and left to get back on course. At 2:10 in the video, the airplane is crossing DF608 and is in a right turn to DF609 und DF611. The autopilot completely messes up this turn: At 03:41 the airplane has finished the 180° turn and is very close to the final leg. ATC will kill me if I fly like that online. The video on Youtube (you should watch with 720p or 1080p and fullscreen in order to be able to read the ND): Do you have any ideas of what is going wrong here? I haven't seen and topics about this issue here in the forum, so am I the only one with this issue? Something that I am doing wrong with the 737 NGX? Kind Regards,Martin
  13. Hi Bryan, thank you for your response. I tried it in a VM and you are right: The whole language has to be set to "English" in order to set the speech recognition to "English".Regards,Martin
  14. Hi,after reading all those positive comments about FS2Crew, I decided that I will buy FS2Crew PMDG J41. I would like to go with the Voice Commander edition, because I guess that it is much more fun and practical than the Button edition. However, I do have Windows 7 Professional German and that's where I stumbled across this thread. As far as I understood, I could use "Vistalizator" to install the English language pack into my German Win7. But will this change the whole language of my Windows installation to English (i.e. all system dialogs, controls, control panel etc. will be English). Or is it possible to change only the speech recognition to English and leave everything else on German?Regards,Martin
  15. Hi. Or EZdok EZCA?
  16. Hi Kyle, thank you for this FMC guide. Exactly what I need for my cockpit preparations. You should put your name in the footer of the guide.Martin
  17. Hi.Me too, I had corrupted graphics in my JS4100. The textures of the VC have been scattered and overlaid with artifacts. At first, it appeared that the problem began right after installing the JS4100 add-on. So I removed and reinstalled the plane but that didn't change anything. Then, I removed FSX completely from my disk and reinstalled everything - but the graphic problems in the VC of the JS4100 did not disappear. At the end, I had removed and reinstalled the JS4100 about 6-8 times (I hope that PMDG has no online installation count in this product.....) without resolving the problem. Eventually, I remembered that I've expanded the memory of my PC from 4 GB to 6 GB just a few days before purchasing the JS4100. So I removed this new 2 GB module from my PC: Since then, I had not one single graphics problem with the JS4100! As soon as I add the 2 GB module, graphics get corrupted.I think that this has something to do with the fact, that I have one 4 GB module and one 2 GB module. Maybe, my board has a problem with this mixed configuration. Although both modules are "Dell certified" for my Dell system (and I've thought that those kind of problems are something from the last millennium).Maybe this information may be helpful for all the other users which are fighting against graphics problems. My system is running under Windows 7 64bit.Martin.BTW: The JS4100 is a perfect plane. I really like it because of its depth of simulation.
