Fsx crashing
Go to the FSX forum on Avsim. This is PMDG. Thousands fly the product with no issues after doing a lot of reading. Read up on FSX. When you understand the issues with FSX then you will have a much better hobby. We've all been there and done it.

Some help please? Major weather problems with REX and PMDG 747X
I had the same problem a couple of years ago. It has nothing to do with REX or PMDG. It's a problem with an inherent problem with FSX. If you don't have Pete Dawson's FSUIPC then buy it and install it. When you run FSX go to the top menu bar under, "Addons", select FSUIPC, then "Winds" and select "Smoothing". Play with it a little bit until you get it right. After FSUIPC makes the adjustment in FSX then go to the REX main folder and turn the options for smoothing etc back on. FSUIPC only effects FSX as I understand it. To the rest of you if you have a problem with any PMDG product that acts in the same manner remember FSUIPC. It will take care of business. This also applies in the same manner for active sky. It's not their individual product it's FSX and is easily taken care of. I might also recommend the following link to fix FSX crashes. Just follow the instructions. All PMDG Beta testers as I understand it use this method. http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html Hope this helps. Steve

04MAR12: SP1c Released for full NGX product range.
Yesterday I made a post that intimated that there was a problem with Service Pack SPC1 in relation to HiFi's Active Sky 2012. I made the post in haste and in total ignorance. I feel it is my duty here to apologize to our community, PMDG and HiFi for this misleading and off the cuff remark that is not based on science. Today, after a reboot the 737NGX and Active Sky 2012 are running flawlessly. Please ignore yesterday's post. It probably has already been deleted which is all the better. If you read it, forget it. I have not been threatened by any of the parties concerned but I am deeply ashamed and emarrassed. Keep up the great work PMDG and I can't wait for the 777. (I can assure you I won't be making any technical comments on it). To this end I'm sorry folks and clear skies.................Steve

04MAR12: SP1c Released for full NGX product range.
This update did the same thing it did with the 744. On the third leg of a flight with Active Sku 2012 the 737ngx starts to roll gradually from side to side. VNAV LVAV Auotpilot all fine. Cruise speed and no wheather changes. Service Pack 1C will destroy your experience. Stay with Service Pack 1B.If you have trouble like I have described above, simpy disconnect from Active Sky and reconnect it. PMDG might say it's a HIFI problem. It's not. Worked fine on service pack 1B.Steve

Some thoughts on Flight...
I am a Senior Command Air Transport Pilot with close to 5000 hours and have been a member of the longest, still functioning, Virtual Airline out there. I won't bother to name it other than to say I have been with them for over ten years. One of our Directors was selected by MS to be a Beta tester for FLIGHT. When he entered into an agreement with MS to do the testing, one of the prerequisites, was that he wouldn't divulge any information. This is not only fair, but a credible approach. He has not discussed the matterHowever, from time to time without disclosing any information or details I get the feeling when talking to him that he is of the same opinion, (almost to the letter), as Robert ,here. All of us at our VA support and purchase not only PMDG products but the others that are also mentioned ie; Aerosoft. We fully intend to continue with our VA and to grow our members. We will continue to support our 3rd party developers by purchasing their product(s).My personal opinion is, "Damn the torpedos, (Microsoft),.......... full steam ahead PMDG.In closing, thank you PMDG, and registered members of this forum for your invaluable service and support to our community. The advice we read regarding setup etc is greatly apprechiated. We look forward to the PMDG 777.Thank you all and may God Bless, no matter your God.Steve ChapmanNBL4059

Tutorial #2
Hi guys. I've been looking for Tutorial #2 but haven't been able to find it. Has it been released yet? Is so is there a link where I can download it. It wasn't in Service Pack 1. Other than that what a great effort by PMDG. I couldn't be happier and well worth the wait.Steve ChapmanRichmond Hill, Ontario, CanadaNBL4059G (Noble Air Virtual Airline)

25SEP11: Latest Hotfix and SP1 Scheduling..
Oh yeah baby the 777. I have a buddy who flys the 777 on non-stop flights from Toronto to Hong Kong for Air Canada. He's offered to sit here with me. Will it have the EFB and the cameras to help taxi. (I know, too early to tell). Great work PMDG. Just flew from EGKK (Gatwick Extreme) to LPPT (Lisbon Extreme) and back with no issues with the hotfix. Great work.

Service Pack better be good
I've been flying nothing but PMDG products for five years now. The 737NGX is an amazing piece of work. If people take a little time to do their research and read the documentation as well as tweak FSX itself, they could really appreciate the effort that went into this simulator. Keep up the good work PMDG. Except for some minor bugs it was a great release. I can't wait for the 777-200ER.
