Airport flickering from above
I get the same with my FSX just at UK2000 airports though... I'm using 8xSQ and in game anisotropic filtering on a GTX 680, I just assumed it was to do with the way the airport was designed like there's another runway hidden underneath it. Jason Just found this as I posted might explain the problem and I don't think it can be fixed as it seems more like a design limitation. http://www.uk2000scenery.org/forum/index.php?topic=6922.0 Jason

Anyone tested GTX 680 with FSX yet? I'm curious.
Jason-118 replied to ant_1984's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcYes I am running a PCI 3.0 motherboard but I was under the impression that it will only be utilised once an Ivy Bridge processor is installed.

Jason-118 replied to ant_1984's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcAnt if your looking for a card that runs cooler but gives great performance a 680 wil certainly do that I was running a 480 before, the noise and temps were ridiculous.

Jason-118 replied to ant_1984's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI'm running an i7 2700k at 4.7Ghz 16gb DDR 1600mhz ram with FSX running off an SSD, in the VC at UK2000 Manchester I get 30-40fps in the cockpit.I use Nvidia inspector to adjust image quality antialiasing is set to 8xSQ and 2x Supersampling with texture filtering application controlled because I was finding horrible stuttering with REX water textures so I use anisotropic in game which has fixed the problem. I'm also running an EnB series profile on top of that and the card doesn't even sweat, if you want better fps in FSX you need a fast processor.

Jason-118 replied to ant_1984's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI've been running FSX with a Gigabyte GTX680 and it runs perfectly fine although no noticable difference in comparison with my previous card which was a GTX 480.As for other games it's much more of an improvement i'm glad to say

ILS frequencies in FMC not correct
More likely that your scenery is out of date I think the fmc takes data from navigraph and not whats in the fsx scenery. Jason P.

Missing informations in the cockpit
Sounds like a font issue but try and put up a screenshot so we know what your talking about exactly. Jason Paver

Weird Terrain warnings.
Just thought I'd add a screenshot of my terrain warning while on the ground parked at LEBL after landing. Yes I have custom scenery but I can bet that you would still have same results with default scenery too. I think the terrain database definately needs looked at. Jason Paver

Weird looking cockpit displays (ND, PFD etc)
I'm not sure whether you missed it but supersampling needs to be set higher externally by your catalyst control center at least 4x if the game looks terrible when you turn you anti aliasing off in game maybe you should look for an option in the control center which allows you to override the in game setting. EZDOC Panel Artifacts
Danko I have 8xS [Combined :1x2 SS+4x MS] set up on my FSX and still get these patterns. They seem to be only visible when your not zoomed in on them so when im sitting at usual head height I get what looks like a wavy pattern over them, but when I zoom in by moving my head the screens look fine. EDIT : Changed FSX profile to 16xS [Combined :2x2 SS + 4x MS] pattern problem pretty much gone and no performance hit. (With EZDOK on aswell) Jason Paver

EZDOC Panel Artifacts
He's referring to what looks like loads of finger prints on the glass of the screen. I know the screens have finger prints on as design but this is a pattern you can see when brightness is set to full if you look closley there is a perfect pattern on the screen glass itself. Jason Paver

EZDOC Panel Artifacts
I thought I was the only one. It's strange I wouldn't have guessed EZDOK would cause this sort of problem, my fix for now is like the previous posters just turn the brightness down on the screens till the background is black. Jason Paver

Brake Temps?
Oh right it's a scale that makes sense guess I'll try an rto see if I get some numbers that way. Thanks! EDIT: Just did an rto with manual braking indeed you were correct my brake sensors indicated 4.3 by the time I stopped. Jason Paver

Brake Temps?
Hi Fellow Simmers, Just did my first flight from EGCC to EDDK and this plane is an amazing piece of work. Anyway to my point, one thing I noticed on landing is that on the sys page it displays brake temps but even after landing and slowing down to taxi speed all temperatures stayed at 0. I'm just wondering if I have missed something here I mean should temperatures read while braking during taxi because at the moment i'm not recieving any figures. Thanks Jason Paver

Aicraft Moved on Start of RC
Turns out it must be either my FS or RC. I made a flightplan in game and saved it, RC still ignores EHAM. Also downloaded a flightplan from online which someone else had made EHAM is still ignored.

Aicraft Moved on Start of RC
Hi,Having a strange problem and im not sure where to go first I make all my flight plans using fscommander exporting them as fs2004 flightplans and loading them into Radar Contact have just noticed that flying into and from EHAM causes Radar contact to completely ignore this airport you can see when you load a flightplan it says EGLL to @30,000ft rather than EGLL to EHAM @30,000ft tried other airports they work fine also this happens on default EHAM airport scenery not sure whether it's a RC problem but more likely an FSC problem any advice would be appreciated. Also a side effect of this is when I start RC it moves my aircraft from EHAM to 0 Lat and 0 Lon on the map in game.ThanksJason
