Did you upload those databases yet? It's been a couple days now.

    Thank you. Much appreciated.
  4. When I first read the title, I was like "What are detonating cord shots doing on a FSX forum?" But well, then I realized your name  Good shots btw!
  5. Where in FSX.cfg exactly do you put this? I just checked mine and I don't have one :P Edit: Oh, found it. Under [MAIN]
  6. Looks like an interesting map, I'll check it out. Thanks! :)
  7. That looks amazing! Thank you very much! I'll download it right away. P.S. And thanks for the welcome, Android has some amazing apps that I use daily
  8. Hello. I haven't been playing FSX in a while (been busy with other games and stuff) and in the mean time I got a new Android phone, so I was wondering are there any useful apps for it like METAR, flight planning, tracking, anything really that is cool to use on your phone while flying in FSX. Thanks :Peace:
  9. Just tested it, it works fine. Thanks!
  10. Nah, I use DX9. I'll try and report back, thanks Steffen. Cheers.
  11. Like the title says, I found some Airbus textures for an Airline I want to use, but the thing is they are for FS9, I can't find FSX ones. So, my question is, can I use them in FSX? Or do I need to convert them or something? Thanks.
  12. This is an interesting site. But there is one problem, when I go to register, it asks for pilot license number and issuing agency, even though I've selected Aviation Enthusiast.
  13. UT2 is great. Has tons of airliners, great looking planes, and not that much of an FPS hit at all, since their planes were made using FSX SDK SP2.
  14. I load up cold and dark at the gate and then start from there. Starting up all the systems, using the Jetway if available, loading the passengers, configuring the MCDU etc.

Get REX with Overdrive for the awesome sky and many other great looking textures. And as far as I know you can create custom weather conditions in ASE.
  16. Glad you fixed it. :) I figured out my pitch problem. For whatever reason even though I was suppose to be in the MACH speed heights and it was suppose to switch to it, even at cruise alt, it stayed on SPEED, so my plane was flying like 305 TAS, which is slow, so the plane had to maintain a high pitch in order not to descent and stall. As soon as I manually entered M 0.80, the pitch went down to 2.5 degrees. Now, gotta figure out why didn't the computer properly switch to MACH mode. Though it was a succesful flight, just landed in Sofia, passengers satisfied and I earned 350 points, yay.
  17. Update: I just took off from Dusseldorf heading for Sofia, so far, it's behaving good. It kept the altitude I selected, no erratic behavior. I'll keep you updated through the flight. The only thing I'm having issues with atm is that the plane is taking a too high pitch angle during climb, trimming seems in order though. It's like 16 degrees nose up and I'm loosing speed. Edit: There is indeed something severly wrong, I'm at ALT CRZ but the plane is flying with 18 degrees nose up... Sigh, I swear I've spent more time fighting and struggling with bugs and problems in FSX than actually flying. Edit2: Still investigating. So far I'd say that CG setting may have been the cause of it. I used the one that FSPax gave me, which was 35%(Which is way off imo). Now, I used TOPCAT to calculate the CG and so far it is behaving normally, will report back soon. Edit: It did help a bit, but for whatever reason, the Aircraft does not pick up the cruising speed, which is suppose to be M 0.80, and the nose angle is around 9 degrees up now, so still not as it was before. Is it possible that any mod may interfere with this? Edit3: So I've manually set the cruising speed of M 0.80 and the pitch is good now, around 2.5 degrees. Still wondering if any mods such as GEX, UT2 or ASE could affect this?
  18. I haven't checked yet, I will soon and I'll report back.
  19. I had that problem too, I've set the altitude to 9000 feet, for my initial climb, but the aircraft kept climbing. Then I noticed, that the autopilot set the altitude to FL500 and it refused to accept my alt or anything. I still have no idea why is it happening or what is causing. I reinstalled FSX completely, hopefully it works fine now.
  20. Should be in Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\b747_400\model the model.cfg file.Oh and the Aircraft.cfg is in the Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\b747_400\ Hope it helps.
  21. It appears that my experiments completely broke the plane now... It won't hold altitude anymore. The AP is on and it follows the navigation and speed properly, trimming is good too, but it just refuses to follow the Vnav profile. I set alt to 9000 and it just goes through it and keeps climbing and climbing... I guess it wants to go to the Moon or something.Edit: So it appears that for whatever reason, the autopilot set the altitutde to 50 000 feet, even though I've put 9000 and pushed the knob. Sigh, guess I'll reinstall.Edit2: Actually, scratch that, I'll just reinstall the whole FSX and install only the essential mods I use. That's when it worked the best.
  22. How do they calculate the CG? Do they have some papers with info or are they using a tool?
  23. Oh that is very annoying! It has happened to me numerous times. I ended up wasting 2-3 hours just TRYING to do a flight. Like you said you spend 10-15 mins prepping, then taxiing and lining up another 10. You take off, everything is good, fly for like 20 minutes and boom... flight wasted. That's definitely something they need to improve vastly. Regards,Matt.
  24. Alright so I've been experimenting a bit and after a long time of doing stuff, I think I know what's the best. Either use the values given by FSPax and enter their CG value and all, or disable the FSPax payload and fuel completely and then use an external software such as TOPCAT to add fuel and weight to the plane (And use it's CG values). I'm gonna test it out I guess and see how it works.
  25. Hopefully it's something they'll improve, Jim! I'm curious how will Microsoft Flight turn out to be.
