Hi fellow Pilots I am hoping someone can help me with this one? I recently switched from FSX SE to P3D V4 so have had a complete clean install of P3D v4 after completely deleting FSX SE so started with a clean slate. I Have installed the 777 and the 777-300 expansion pack with no problem and I am able to download and install liveries also with no problem. However when I installed the NGX I only had the base pack and expansion pack showing in the drop down menu of the OC, nothing in between Tried re installing the NGX to no avail and get the same result. Am I missing something here?

Guys use this solution which I have just recieved from Product support: This issue is probably caused by an incorrect SimConnect runtime installation on your computer, follow these instructions to fix it: Navigate to this folder: <FSX:SE root folder>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib (By default the <FSX root folder> is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX) Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder. Navigate to this folder: <FSX:SE root folder>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces Inside this folder are three more folders that each contain a SimConnect.msi file - run all three of them. Use this solution if you are having problems with activation in FSX-SE only and are missing undercarriage, cold & dark Cockpit etc. If it does'nt work for you, then open a ticket with support, they are great. Cheers

If you are having trouble with FSX:SE install:

Hi Rob & rest of the team Firstly many thanks for all the hard work that you and your guys are putting in to get the PMDG products compatable with FSX-SE Here is my scenario: I decided to start again with a clean slate. Uninstalled Triple 7 through FMC. Reformatted my FSX Drive in this case D: drive. Downloaded and installed a fresh copy of FSX-SE, checked system operating and found to be working fine. Downloaded new installers for both 200 & 300 series 777 as per instruction. Re installed 200 series which went without a hitch. However here is my first scenario. I loaded the aircraft in FSX to check that it had installed correctly before I updated the Operations centre? could this have been the start of my problems! When I loaded the aircraft the first time the system asked me all the same questions that it normaly does when one loads a new aircraft the first time, all good. However what was missing was I was not asked for an activation code when I first loaded the aircraft. Hence aircraft is now sitting on runway with with no undercarriage and the engines were missing the internal engine parts, ie I could see light when I looked through the front of the engine. All cowlings were in place as per norm. Flight deck also in Cold & dark scenario and unable to operate any switches or throttles. Went back and updated Operations Centre. Same problem was there as before when I reloaded aircraft. Operating system : Windows 7, 64 Bit Sceneries installed: Orbx Australia SP 4 Orbx North Island Orbx Brisbane International Many thanks Duncan Gillespie -
[24JAN15] FSX:SE Compatibility and Other Juicy News...

Ditto Having same problem here. No undercarrage / Engines and Cold and Dark flight deck. Also was not asked for an activation key which I find strange? I have only FSX-SE installed onto Widows 7 platform. Installation seemed to run smoothly. Did I cause this problem by loading the aircraft before udating the Ops Centre? Any comments appreciated. Cheers Duncan Gillespie -
Thanks I think Asus is the way to go. Currently using a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H / i7 3770K which I think is feeling a little strained with the overclocking but will upgrade to an ASUS Z97 Socket 1150 Deluxe version with a i7 4790K Devils Canyon. At least I know I'm on the right track as far as the upgrade is concerned.

Thanks for sharing you specs, however would be interested to know the brand of your motherboard and model? Cheers

Hi there I am sure that there are many out there, myself included who would be interested in your system specs. I am thinking of upgrading my own rig although have not had any problems so far but would be interested in what your new rig is specked too Cheers

What do you think of GSX by FSDT ?
Springbokbullet replied to A320FAN's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
I am using GSX With Orbx Brisbane International and it works well. Have found that it does have it's little bugs but I am sure they will get it sorted -
It is guys like you that make the NGX a really enjoyable experience. Thank you for spending the time and effort for producing thistutorial, it has made learning this bird alot more enjoyable. Your use of pictures is excellent and goes a long way in showing uswhere all the switches are and what each one is supposed to do. I have used this tutorial in conjunction with the one suppliedwith the NGX and it has made things a lot clearer.Once again a big Thank You!! Duncan Gillespie
