  1. The fuel flow reads, typically, 8.3 to 3.2. What units and over what time? Ounces per second? :) N99WB
  2. I don't have a graphics card. FSX and P3D 3.4 work well enough. Will the Fixer and the cloud shadows work on my system ? I5-6400 /W HD530 upto 3.3 Ghz. 16 gig dual channel ram. Win 10 64 bit. Thanks! N99WB
  3. Use gaming mode if you have the Win 10 creators update (Winkey + G) while FSX is open. Go into security center and exclude your FSX folder from being scanned. Set you power savings to "High Performance". N99WB
  4. One other thing. Do you have a restore point you can run from before this started?
  5. Don't we all. . . . When starting to play at a location<=== Only that location? Does your CPU have integrated graphics? Can you pull your card and try them? N99WB
  6. I've never seen one in default FSX. But I haven't flown every airport :)
  7. That is Drzewiecki Designs' "EPWA Warsaw Chopin Airport X". http://www.drzewiecki-design.net/prodEPWA_X.htm
  8. MS only supports Windows 10 on Kaby Lake. Whether it will run or not is another story.
  9. *I'm running default aircraft, scenery and airports. Creator's release build 1703. Short Beech flight A-OK. Longer 2 landing 737-800 flight A-OK. Mid-flight changes in 3rd flight 737-800 Changed to RW weather, changed time and season, changed to Cessna 208. All full screen just using ALT to get to the menu bar and R click hide menu bar. No crashes which it used to do every time I made a single change. Engine sounds are enhanced. Goose still has funky sound issue when changing views, Q key still corrects it. It took about 2 hours to download and install with my 4 Mbit connection. If you don't want to wait for the rolling release, download and run the upgrade assistant here: Click Here an hit download now *WARNING* I'm running a very plain system iNTEL I5 6400, 16 Gig mem in dual channel, on-board graphics and sound, 500 gig EVO 850 Samsung SSD. ****No Addons**** N99WB
  10. At Syracuse KSYR this afternoon. I followed this article's advice The Last 400 Feet Things went great. I remember; in Rod's FSX lessons, he would bust you for landing just a little long. Does anyone have link to landing zones that aren't so blurry as these? N99WB
  11. Nice drives. Be sure to download Samsung's latest "Magician" software and enable "Rapid Mode".
  12. Typically, the larger drive would be faster, so i'd put the OS and FSX on it and the rest on the 250. Performance on SSD's can really suffer as they approach 80% capacity. So watch out for that. Bear in mind, depending on manufacturer, you will have over provisioning for wear leveling (or whatever they call it). I've over provisioned 40 gig on my 500 gig Samsung EVO 850. N99WB
  13. So, you propose to hot swap in your OS and FSX on (2) SSD's when you want to fly? Or. . . Do you mean shutdown, cold swap, boot then fly? Just curious, N99WB
  14. Suhwheeet! Weather data would be great! Thanks for the great product, N99WB
  15. Can you run a restore point? Can you right click on the FSX install and run as administrator?
  16. After reading the thread, I added: [bufferPools] RejectThreshold=131072 Now I get cloud reflections on water (DX9) Yea! I don't have a graphics card just an i5 6400 with Intel HD graphics 530. N99WB
  17. Task Manager (right-click the task-bar, Task Manager -> Processes -> Background Processes<=== My task manager doesn't have a "Background Processes" tab. I'm on Windows 10.
  18. I don't know anywhere you can download FSX. You might try a restore point.
  19. Task manager ===> Processes tab ===> Expand Simulator ===> Right click on Microsoft Flight Simulator X and select switch to. Try that instead of rebooting. Also, have you saved a default flight? You might want to delete all your saved flights.
  20. Go into your FSX folder and right click on FSX.EXE and see if you can select which video card to run it on.
