  1. That is a very nice laptop! You will like P3D far more than FSX. Better utilization of your 6 gigs of GDDR5 memory, better multi core usage and it's 64 bit. Without ANY doubt, P3D4 will be far superior than FSX on your rig. I assume this is your rig: http://www.gigabyte.us/Laptop/P37W-v5#sp N99WB
  2. Y'all could ask to have a TFDi thread opened here. Like the 20 other developer threads have. . . No due disrespect N99WB
  3. Yes that's the version for P3D 4.2
  4. For P3dV4 the open beta (Ver 1.0.9.22) is all they offer. Here video on startup:
  5. Try a different USB port for you controller.
  6. Have you left it running, say for 20-30 minutes?
  7. For me 2X SSAA reduces shimmering more than 8X MSAA
  8. FSrealWX<=== Isn't their some sort of dawn/dusk cloud enhancement in that?
  9. I set my minimum CPU to 80%.
  10. Jutter. A jerk and stutter combined.
  11. The patch turned off my Clear Type and reset (in power config) my CPU minimum to 5 %. So. . . If you're having issues with the 4.2 update, you might want to check those settings. N99WB
  12. Everyone should just hold off. Until I finish downloading it :)
  13. OK, here is what I came up with after you clued me into the Cameras.cfg. [CameraDefinition.002] Title = "Virtual Cockpit (Jumpseat)" . . . HotKeySelect=2 This assigned my "cockpit" joystick button "jumpseat". That's perfect because the 717 doesn't have 2D and my VC joystick button has gone back to as it always was. So right now, I'm happier than a Colorado pot store owner. Thanks!
  14. CTRL + (0-9) doesn't do anything, but now my button on my joy stick for virtual cockpit brings up the jumpseat view. Here's the entry: CameraDefinition.002] Title = "Virtual Cockpit (Jumpseat)" Guid = {BEC36D3A-1788-4D3F-9359-43A5593D34DD} Origin = Virtual Cockpit MomentumEffect = False SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel SnapPbhReturn = False PanPbhAdjust = Swivel PanPbhReturn = False Track = None ShowAxis = YES AllowZoom = TRUE InitialZoom = 0.70 SmoothZoomTime = 2.0 ZoomPanScalar = 1.0 ShowWeather = Yes XyzAdjust = TRUE ShowLensFlare=FALSE Category = Cockpit PitchPanRate=30 HeadingPanRate=75 PanAcceleratorTime=0 InitialXyz=0.5004, 0.0, -0.55 InitialPbh=0, 0, 0 HotKeySelect=1
  15. Can I assign these to a keyboard key? The ones I want to assign are in the aircraft.cfg file for the TFDi 717. Here is the format: [CameraDefinition.002] Title = "Virtual Cockpit (Jumpseat)" Guid = {BEC36D3A-1788-4D3F-9359-43A5593D34DD} Origin = Virtual Cockpit MomentumEffect = False SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel SnapPbhReturn = False PanPbhAdjust = Swivel PanPbhReturn = False Track = None ShowAxis = YES AllowZoom = TRUE InitialZoom = 0.70 SmoothZoomTime = 2.0 ZoomPanScalar = 1.0 ShowWeather = Yes XyzAdjust = TRUE ShowLensFlare=FALSE Category = Cockpit PitchPanRate=30 HeadingPanRate=75 PanAcceleratorTime=0 InitialXyz=0.5004, 0.0, -0.55 InitialPbh=0, 0, 0 Thanks!
  16. My 512 only uses 134Gig with Everything on it. My P3D folder is only 25Gig.
  17. Which uses more resources/FPS, the CRJ or the 717? Thanks! N99WB
  18. If you memory is single channel and you move to dual, you get a bump. If you hdd is old and slow, an SSD would give you a bump. Flattening your system and and reinstalling would, for free, would likely give you a bump. N99WB
  19. Is your memory two 4's or a single 8? Is it stock memory? What is your current hard drive? ===>Im currently a College student, so the budget is tight.<=== That's just practice for when you have kids in college. N99WB
  20. You can't really do just a CPU. Your motherboard is at least 3 generation behind, your chip is 5 behind. Your memory is DDR3; you'll have to buy DDR4 to work with the new CPU and motherboard. Therefore: CPU, motherboard, 16 gig memory and a good SSD. You will also need a CPU fan as they aren't hardly supplied anymore. N99WB

  22. Mother board and CPU. Your CPU is "End of Life", says iNTEL. 16 G RAM and a good SSD. You may then find your 1050ti workable enough. N99WB
  23. What have you tried? I mean. . . It's pretty easy to dirty up 4.1. Just the particulars, what have you tried?
