Milviz B737-200c Prepar3D v3 installers now available
Yes , I did check everything. Fair enough, you are right and I will give you time to have a look at this. I did modify manually the pannel state and did get the 737 to work if the FMS is not in the pannel. However, as soon as I try to use it with the FMS, it is a straight CTD without even loading the airplane. Strangely enough, WIN10 does not log this event ... regards

I do indeed use Windows 10 and P3D V3.2. Could you please advise on what exactly needs to be checked/changed in order to make sure that it works fine ? Thanks for your support

Milviz B737-200c Prepar3D v3 installers now available
Yes of course , and it was a clean install with antivirus off. I had no alerts during the install process. Tried to remove it, re-install , nothing, Still CTD as soon as I try to load the aircraft.

Lnav track not followed on long legs
Maybe, I am trying to investigate the " S-Turn " isssue with Active Sky and FSUIPC but it is a rather complex system and determining who send what to FSX and what are the effects is rather difficult. However, the S-Turn issue has been narrowed down to the TURB generated by either FSX / FSUIPC / Active Sky. JB

Lnav track not followed on long legs
Hi Kyle, No, it was rate 1 flying, no acceleration. I will read the intro manual again, I guess I missed that bit since I had no issue before the SP1. Anyone ever encountered the same ? By the way, it was the first time I used the FLP datalink upload after generating it from PFPX, before this I always inserted COROUTE directly. Thanks for your time.

Lnav track not followed on long legs
Hi everyone, Yesterday I tried to fly from TNCM St Martin to UUEE Moscow. The majority of the flight is over the North Atlantic. The Preflight and Departure went fine, but then when starting the oceanic legs between coordinates ( each leg being 300 Nm+) the autopilot just stopped to track the LNAV track. After 10 minutes of letting it doing it's own things it started to climb and descend and the airplane was completely out of control. I tried to reload the flight at the last " working " waypoint and used HDG SEL instead of Lnav to see if it made any difference. No issue , it followed the HDG SEL for ever and there was no change in attitude. May it be the S-Turn problem caused by turbulence generation with Active Sky ? If so, what is PMDG policy regarding weather settings ? So my question is : Is there any limitation in FSX or the PMDG 777 regarding the maximum lenght of a leg between two waypoints ? Thank you very much for your time and assistance fellow pilots. JB

Can we pilot a real 737 if we can
As a real life pilot I should say that growing up with Flight Sim was a big plus in avionics and systems training. IFR work can be done with FSX/FS9 but then you don't need a joystick and will use the auto pilot. I have no time on a 737 but have quite a lot on the Beechcraft 90/200 family and cessna citation family and I can tell you that, yes, you can recognize stuff but once you get up there, hand flying, actual IFR , I give you 3 minutes before you loose control. Flying " in the system " in Europe is very demanding, even more in winter, let alone night flying IMC. FSX is a game and can be considered a system/IFR training support at best. Nothing will prepare you to real flying but real flying, even a LVL-D sim is not the same as the real deal. Let me tell you that when I prefly my little beast and start the turbine, the clicking sound followed by the fuel ignition is a real treat, you got the smell the rumble in the seat ... it is a different world. I suggest you go take a lesson in a C152 or C172 and do just a local VFR flight. You will see how different ( and better ^^ ) it is to any FSX you may have done. I think it is dangerous to think you can land a 737 safely after playing around with the NGX, it is a great system trainer, that's for sure, but again , it is 80 dollars. A real type rating is around 40 000 dollars. AFL581

I would like a nice route please?
Hi B) Come to Moscow ( UUEE or UUDD ) You could also fly south to Ibiza (LEIB) or Gibraltar ( LXGB ) You should also fly TO those place not only From, it's twice the fun.

AS2012 SP2 ATIS
AFL581 replied to AFL581's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumYes I checked that and everything is ok and set ok, but still the ATIS is very low compared to suround sounds or for exemple to FS2crew sounds. Everything ok except that, I ear it, yes, and I can understand what is said when the engines are off and on the ground, otherwise it is really to low. Any solution of how to tweak this ? Cheers AFL581

AS2012 SP2 ATIS
Hi everyone, I am very impressed by the ATIS fonction of AS2012 but the volume is really low on my aeroplanes, I would like to know if there is a way to adjust it other than just puting more volume on VHF1 or speakers when this option is not available. Is there something like a setting that could be changed to make it louder. I also tried on the 737NGX, it works GREAT ! however very low volume whatever I do to the radio volume of the 737. Thanks a lot for your support and congratulation on the great work AFL581

No, What is it ? " HIGHMEMFIX=1 " I have 16G of RAM on board, so I guess this might be some setting, but how does it work ? AFL581

Hi all, Same problem here, I have the rear of the plane is " Skeleton " since the upgrade. I also updated AS2012 and installed Orbx ENG. I am investigating and will report if I find a solution. AFL581

Polar Navigation Option
Yes, I saw that post a while ago. I don't know if it takes that much work to incorporate it from the 777 for exemple. It is strange because the modeled the short field option and the flight test one. Anyway, I love my 737NGX :) It just behave strange above 82°33 North and instead of the recommended LNAV I have to go with HGD SEL. Regards

Polar Navigation Option
Hi everyone. Does anyone know if PMDG is planing to bring to 737 Polar Navigation option to the 737NGX as a selected option from the FMC ? I do get to simulate a lot of flight above 82 North and as per Boeing flight manual , the maximum flight operating latitude is 82°N and 82°S except for some regions. Maybe it will come with the 777 update or with a future BBJ expension. Your thoughts ? AFL581
