  1. Isn't the MAAM's DC 3 for fs9 now a freeware?
  2. Great great thoughts guys.. Running unlimited causes spikes when flying GA, I experienced it myself flying Alabeo's Su-26. Locked 45 fps solves the issue. Well, definitely not always 30 like today's standard as 30 limits todays hardware capability. I don't fly heavies in FSX that much so I can't tell but I guess flying heavies in complex airports don't cause spikes because there's nothing left to be limited, the fps is scary
  3. If I recall correctly, it's fsx related, you'll lose 5-10 fps using fsx limiter. Your NI will do just fine. However, it is said that NI fps limiter causes stutter and blurrt, despite its flaw, fsx fps limiter is somewhat more stable. si, anyone here consistently sets fps to unlimited?
  4. If they have an overclocked i7 and 580ti and set the fps @30 for stability then it'll be an overkill, well I can have the same stability by locking @30 with lower system. Why 30 not 40 and set the refresh rate to 85hz?
  5. Having encountered that 'no autogen loaded' blurry, but it is not often and it usually lasts in seconds, or if I really really need to look at the ground below, which is very rare, I pause the sim and it loads the autogen instantly. I'm using Bojote's tweak, and a bit of Word Not Allowed's. ORBX manual states that setting unlimited may work for some, definitely works for me. High speed also causes blurry in my case and I cant do anything about it and that's ok since Im flying mostly 182 and warhawk
  6. I also have better and smoother results by unlocking FPS from external limiter. There are few hiccups and stutter related clouds rendering and when viewing from outside for the first time, but that's very minor even over orbx area the stutter is hardly noticed. My system is i5 2500K default clock speed with 4GB RAM and 9800GT. 5 mi mesh, very dense autogen density, low 2x water, 55% GA traffic and 25% airliner and the rest is fully right. I have tried 40 and it did well with non heavies, it easily reached 40 over orbx areas. 30 FPS is definitely burden although it has been applied by most of people. Or perhaps 30 does good only for flying heavies? I'm only flying P 40 and Retracted Gear 182Q. Perhaps for those with more sophisticated system who fly mostly GA's would like to try to unlock and see if it does better?
  7. The majority seems to be comfortable with locking FPS @30 although there are (few?) people prefer unlock it as it gives smoother performances and higher frame rate. Is there anyone here who has it unleashed and happy with it (without spike, stutters, etc)? I'm also interested in knowing if someone has it locked and unlocked depends on the area.
  8. For traffic, I see World of AI is pretty much updated, I don't own Traffic 2005 but 2005 does clearly indicate its limitation
  9. When a member has been very very helpful and contributing a lot, perhaps his name (David 'Opa' Marshall) can be used as an award or recognition to those who have been amazingly contributing for the community, "Opa Marshall Award" for instance. It is not difficult to spot some senior members who have been actively helping and contributing by creating freeware stuffs or writing very useful tips and tutorials for example. Just a thought
  10. Yeaaaa its a BIG thing !!
  11. Just took a short visit to Reuters and found this EU: "This Emission Trade System will reduce emission from threatening the environment and we urge them pay when flying to and from EU regions.. According Kyoto Protocol we need to ask all airliners bla bla blaaaaa...." Beijing: "whaatt? OK THAT'S IT.. forget those 45 A330's.. im calling Seattle! Bregier: "nnn.nno.nnooooo... HEY YOU CANT JUST LEAVE AND CANCEL THE ORDERS YOU PANDAS les yeux brides!!! Beijing: "NO?!!! watch me!" Hollande: "Dammit... We're losing 2000 jobs!" Bregier: "Hey Holly... do something or Im joining the 2000 punks.. cant you see, I just got promoted in June last year.. you want me make it 2001 next June?" Hollande: "It's Hollande you hambregier!! dont worry, I'll save arses.. I'm leaving for Beijing.. Bregier: "yeaa.. do that please.." Hollande: "oui oui" Hollande + Bregier: 请不要取消订单,我求求你 (hey look, the great wall is long and high and...hey rell you what.. it'd be nice to see it from above with our jets..?) Beijing: "..是真的吗?谢谢。好吧,18个单位,没有更多的。告诉他们不成为一个痛苦的屁股 (Really? gee thanks.. I didnt know that. 18 for now! and next time, tell them to think wisely before being a smart grass!" FAA + IATA: "see, told ya the ETS was stupid.." IATA to FAA: "roger, it is a Heavy POOP, over!"
  12. the country where i lived in is not listed. Not even appeared in "0%". I am pretty sure I took part in the survey.
  13. I'm always fond of Dillon's insight and opinions, I hope he would consider to apply for AVSIM Staff, as a reviewer perhaps? I simply have little interest in NGX or such. Everyone talks about NGX and I am sure it is a hell of an add on. But what makes me keep FSX installed is A2A's P 40 warhawk and its Accusim + Accufeel. I once read somewhere sometime ago that RealAir Spitfire has this movement effect, when you bank or roll, we can actually see the body movement due to side force, it is not static. Although they say the fsx has different coding that possibles more enhancement than fs9, i'm pretty sure Accu-feel concept can be applied to fs9. The tire screech, braking sound squeal, and enormous effects. having regularly visited calclassic, there are a bit of everything there for classic aircraft lovers.
  14. lol They say fs9 is no longer profitable although Carenado sees it differently
  15. I am still wondering with all this enthusiasm and preference, does the market share really that small and the chasm is big enough to make the devs stop supporting fs9? I see more and more similar threads regarding fs9 positivity emerging on this forum
  16. Don't be discouraged by the lack of responses. Most of, if not all, people in this sub forum are pleased with your thoughts.
  17. Thank You Rob. I am sure many would like to hear it from someone who has been heavily involved. Not forcing with anything thou Rob, no pressure, but it's been too long. You have been very helpful. and congratulation on your new home ..
  18. I don't see they are committed to what they have planned before by not releasing the Advanced version. I know there are several bus drivers who are pretty much satisfied with the current state. I too have managed it enjoyable enough for short hops. But why they havent released the Advanced version remains unknown. Is it on progress? is it even buggier than the Basic? Insufficient funds? Or are they preparing a big surprise? or they will keep idle like this until not a single simmer purchases their product and close the site as they are short of cash even to make their site keep running? If that's the case, they are done! technically, they don't exist. I'm asking these questions not because of pure disappointment but I am one of those who believe they still have potential to get them to compete. I don't like starting those questions on their forum simply since I know a few gents whom I respect for their voluntary efforts and contributions to 'Airsimmers'.
  19. I thought I was the only one and almost updated my directx. That's right I found it spotting far from above sounds a lot louder than zooming to max when on the ground with engines running. Perhaps that is realistic but I don't mind being a bit unrealistic with louder interior engine sound. Sorry for being off topic guys but does when the throttle to idle the plane moves forward, I think I have misconceptions about how the throttle actually works. Anyone please educate me? Just got it last night, yes last night and don't have access to my ps at the moment, nor have I read the manual
  20. negative sir, this is FS9 Forum. FSX forum is 2 clicks away
  21. That's right sir. I might have taken your previous post incorrectly.
  22. It is better in some ways. If you have time and patience to tweak, you'll find it flyable and less troublesome. Try it and ask for refund if it gives you too much pita
  23. Amer Lawand, on 23 Apr 2013 - 11:34 AM, said: Stephen, What have you done about the post? Simple question, dont get me wrong, I love reading Sartre's thick crap so i dont mind reading your long answer. Although a concrete action would be great?
  24. Stephen, excuse me, why was my post responding to "Why muslims just stop blow up.." deleted? is it because mine didn't meet your "standard" where the stimultant did?
