In the "Real World" it's all about God, family and friends.

In my fantasy world it is travelling around with family and friends in a private jet that I'm piloting (ergo: FSX-Steam)

  1. ATTN: LOGITECH CONTROLLER USERS! Microsoft Flight 2020 (MS20) has bindings already installed for most of their controllers. The method used to find those bindings is such. Prior to launching FS20 unplug it from the USB port. What till the game completely load then Click on OPTIONS at the top of the screens. Once there, click on CONTROL. Once that opens PLUG IN THE CONTROLLERS. Now, a screen will pop up with DEFAULT or CUSTOM. Select DEFAULT (selecting custom will show the controller but no bindings) Once you select DEFAULT the screen will pop up showing your LOGITECH controller with a list of BINDINGS under it. I hope this helps. Logitech X52 PROFESSIONAL HOTAS
  2. Here it is 12OCT2015 and I just found this page and all the re-paint download links have expired. DANG!! Is there another way of getting those repaints? (I've never downloading and applying a repaint, so this will be a new challenge for me. Yayy!!)
  3. My Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang has blank G1000 panels in FSX_Steam. Have only FSX_Steam installed.
  4. Those are beautiful re-paints ! Unfortunately, I wouldn't know how to install them even if they were available (unless it came in an installer  )
  5. I just went into the Realism section of FSX and unchecked the box that puts out those warnings.
  6. Just installed Carenado's Phenom 100 and LOVE it!!! Works great on my machine. It's smooth as glass.....runs straight down the runway.....autopilot works perfect. I would like to have some of the options that they put with the B200, but can live without them. I am a real world pilot with hundreds of hours in real world aircraft. Windows 7 pro 64bit Intel 6 core, 12 thread processor 6 gigs ram EVGA motherboard EVGA 480 SC video card Logitech flight controls.
  7. Me, either. They didn't put the extra "accessories" on this aircraft like they did on the B200
  8. So, please tell me where I find "V6 PFD" (whatever that is). Version 6, perhaps? Anyway, you say you took care of it. Great !! Now, can you tell me how to get to where that file is located. Thank you so much !! Andy Huffman
  9. Preflight procedures talks about a "Ram Air Control Knob". Where is it located exactly?
  10. CoolP, I found a fix that got rid of the problem. Go into the aircraft's config file. Scroll down to the heading "flight tuning"....scroll to the bottom and you will find 3 entries for gyro precession. Change each value to 0.0 I tested it out on a flight .....flew for over an hour and the aircraft never drifted off the Flight plans GPS course....Dead center for the entire hour of flight. If you try it, tell me if you get the same results. P.S. I believe the gyro is for the back up instruments.
  11. As a real world pilot certified to fly G1000 equipped aircraft I have found a number of discrepancies, many of which are already mentioned. I found no mention of the following flaw in the modeled aircraft here in the forum. If there is already a thread, please direct me to it. I am experiencing "gyro drift" in this aircraft. I do not have "gyro drift" enabled in FSX. Also, the G1000 is equipped with Attitude Heading Reference Systems" which is slaved to an electronic compass. This system never needs resetting. It also is suppose to last about 5 times longer than a mechanical gyro. An excellent handbook on the G1000 can be found at this link http://www.bookmasters.com/marktplc/01595excerpt.pdf The reader can find my reference in this handbook on page 3 under the title "The Glass Cockpit Revolution" I'm not attempting to really nitpick this aircraft, because it is my favorite one to "fly" in FSX. Also, I know the programmers are limited in what they can do in FSX toward making an aircraft realistic. This is a small issue. If it can be fixed, Great ! If not...oh well. Andy Private Pilot since 1972.
  12. I keep having to reinstall the B200 if I want to have weather radar or static elements. Any thoughts?
  13. Ben Cap: Everything you said was subjective. How about frame rates? That is an objective comparsion. Is there a noticable improvement in frame rates. You said it appears to be smoother. Well, that would be the frame rates. Tell us about your how you have FSX ;where the slidders are set; which aircraft you are using when obtain frame rates, please. In case you may not know how to find your frame rates, use Shift+Z . They will appear on the upper left portion of your monitor. 14. ASE causes me to lose sound to my USB connected speakers when I run FSX. I can still get sound through my headphones that connect directly to the motherboard. Any ideas?Intel 980X; 12 gigs ram; EVGA M/B; EVGA 480 (x2) Video Cards.Whoops...forgot to check "Follow this topic" :(
