  1. So on a standard approach/landing what flap settings are normally used ? Im using 30 at the moment but should I be using less ? Sorry to barge in.Andy Blake
  2. Thanks for the info, i was wondering what the correct temps were.Andy Blake
  3. I sort of know how you feel. After years of flying with using a GTX 295 and spending hour after hour changing settings and at best it would still stutter and miss frames (even with sli disabled). Gone for a single GPU now and I really feel that this is how it should have been. I will still try some of the setting just out of curiosity but really am loving flying at the moment.Andy Blake
  4. I fly for UPS VAC who operate MD's. Good routes and a good bunch of guys.Andy - UPS1305
  5. Up the page file allocation to 10 000 from whatever it was. I also had this a while a go but I'm sure this fixed it. Its only a two min job as well so worth a try. Im at work at the moment but just whack it into google.
  6. I am sure its to do with the page file allocation on your HDD. As i said i had exactly the same but then changed it to 10k and fixed. Have a look on google but its only a 2 min job at most. Andy
  7. I think i upped my memory allocation using the settings in windows to 10 000 from whatever it was. Since then I have had no OOM errors. Its the amount of space on your HDD used for memory. Even though you have loads of RAM this might help. I'm at work so cant find the exact route to change this setting at the moment. Andy
  8. I too have had a strange black screen problem. If i go to save a flight or into another menu the screen goes black, i can still hear the sim working just cant get the graphics to show up again ? I have a new G card which is a nice upgrade on what i had. So at the moment I am just having to make sure i dont hit save flight insted of arm spoilers, which i always do lol.Andy
  9. Flying a cessna already in the air for 15 mins is a lot different to what the guys are talking about dude......Its one thing recognising the systems but to do all the good stuff and then working out all the correct speeds/flap settings....on your own....VERY difficult. But I bet there would be a few that could do a good job if it was "last chance saloon". I've flown gliders for 20 years and know I would struggle in a situation like that but always wonder.Andy
  10. So its a big NO saving the NGX as default flight. I will change this when i get back tonight.Andy
  11. Brilliant, thankyou Steve. I was trying to find this the other day after two crashes.Andy Blake
  12. I have had two fatal errors within the last week and after some looking around i found that romoving some .DLL file is the way to fix this I hope. I can't remember the name of the file but i will have a look unless someone else knows what I am on about.
  13. I updated from a GTX295 (dual core) GPU to a GTX570 last week. I am really impressed with the FPS increase but i think that this is mainly due to the SLi with the 295. It was driving me mad with all the flickers etc.... I know FSX is mainly CPU intensive but sometimes a nice card updtate will surprise you. I really wasn't expecting how it is now, at Heathrow it doesn't go too much above 25-28 fps but its nice and smooth. I also have the FPS locked in inspector which i think helps put more power where its needed. This is a new update from the 280 drivers onwards now not just the beta drivers.Andy Blake
  14. Ahhhhh I'm with you. It would be great if it could model the rollover. ;-)Andy Blake
  15. How come ? It looks really nice with the Aerosoft scenery and with the Spanish airspace restrictions adds another dimension to the bad winds.Andy Blake
  16. Hi Mate,I have a similar system having only got a 570 last week. you have 2 gig more ram than me but since the update Im getting a nice steady 30 + at most airports so Im thinking there must be a tweak or something missing. are you running at your screen res like 1920x1080 etc and have you got aa and drivers set up ? I get better performance when settings are higher sometimes.hope you get it sorted and keep us posted.Andy Blake
  17. OOoooh , New EGNX from UK2000. Looking forward to that. Im using the UK2000 older scenery for it at the moment. Great Pics Steve, i want to go and fly now but stuck at work.Andy Blake
  18. It is really frustrating at times. FSX works great for me for a while, then without reason turns in to a stuttering mess until i get the motivation to find out whats wrong with it again. It would be nice just to load FSX and fly without the 30 minute faff that goes with it.A Blake
  19. So have you tried cycling full screen and winowed as the guys said ? I have this problem sometimes and wasn't sure until i read this how to fix it so thank you for the help guys.
  20. Thank you Christoph for your reply. I forgot to mention it does it on heading select once it has started.....BUT i do have REX active and remember something about turning some weather effects off. I'll try now. Thanks again.
  21. Hi guys,I've been following the forum for ages but have not yet said hello or needed to post a problem. Recently i have been flying the NGX and noticed that shortly after take off and set up on LNAV the aircraft starts to sway left, then over compensates to the right and so on........the rocking gets bigger and bigger until i give up and shut down FSX. Does anyone know why this could be ? I have the latest NGX update and everything else is running well. I also have a licensed FSUIPC.Thank you in advance guys.Andrew Blake
