Hi I'm a long, long time user of AVSIM. I've had an account for the library in some shape or form for the past 10 years and predominantly lurk on the forums. It's very rare I'll write a complaint but in this instance I feel compelled. I've just read this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/429076-is-here-any-fsx-programmer-who-makes-my-b747-wheels-like-this/page-3 and have to express my disgust at the cynical, unhelpful and down-right outrageous way in which the OP was treated by all, including the head of this forum. I think it was absolutely the opposite of how a community such as this should be approaching new members, especially when there are such concerns over simulator enthusiast numbers as they continue to fall. Please can you rethink the way that you handle such threads and instead of joining in with the members in their cynical lust for troll-blood, take a slightly more liberal attitude towards somebody who was obviously needing assistance. Seriously... get a grip!

Ok, the story so far: Bought and installed the 777 and that resulted in my getting 9fps. All other addons seemed to suffer too after that point, but before it I was running with about 15-20 with every addon going working, weather, FTX and so on. So: I reformatted, reinstalled windows then overclocked my CPU, optimised the FSX.cfg and set every slider in FSX to the left. 10 FPS... sometimes if left alone it shoots up to about 45 then if I apply any throttle it shoots back down to 2fps before moving back up to 9fps. Very, very strange! BTW in the default microlight I get approx 150fps! I am going to do another reformat and put FSX outside of the program files and see what happens.

I did a reformat of windows and put the 777 back on... clean install, every slider set to low in FSX... 9 fps. I used to get 15-20 in the NGX....

Ok, I have had to send a ticket. 6FPS renders this lovely thing unflyable for the moment :-( :-(

IMO I think you're mad. Buy the NGX and spend the rest on the 777 and some scenery... you'll use them more than you'll find yourself leafing through a very expensive dust magnet IMO. Callum McLoughlin

People moaning about nothing but the control surfaces and engine fan blades not being absolutely smooth really proves how wonderful the NGX and, I am sure the 777 will be. ...in that nobody can find anything else to moan about, in the place where it really matters, the flight deck..!!!
