New Pilot Resources - Welcome Aboard!
Dauntless Software has a pretty good pay-ware app which you can use to download Plates from any airport in the world, which will "up" that level of realism. https://www.dauntless-soft.com/

15 degrees nosedive descent to prevent going around, would you call me an idiot or fuel efficient?
I remember watching one of my Ultimate Traffic 2 AI planes almost at a 180 angle trying to descend to the runway. Did pretty much the same thing as you. Pretty hilarious to watch actually. I took off From KSEA and watched Alaska's MD-80 plane pitch down to about a 160 degree angle. I'm surprised it still landed. Either ATC gave it a high descent or the pilot was a new guy :-)

Need help finding websites to research for a project
Contacted my local airport administration and they sent me a few examples of their agreement with Southwest Airlines, very helpful. They said that since the airport is a public use airport, public records are made upon request, Got some great starting information, so if anyone else has any information I'll definitely write them down.

Because the project is not really "there" yet. I can't just tell them I need information because I'm working on a project. I just want to research so I know how to base the project on. Just trying to look for ideas, that's all...

Need help finding websites to research for a project
Still searching on google, but not anything that I want to spend a huge amount of time on.. Anyone else have ideas? Sorry to bring this back up, but would love to find information about this. Any kind of information would be great. Specifically I would like to know a few things: What types of fees are covered in Airport - Airline agreements? How long are typical contracts? Does anyone get any kind of benefits from these contracts? How do these agreements effect airport growth? Right now a few of these Q's I don't need now but it'd great to know so I can plan out when the time comes.

Need help finding websites to research for a project
I guess I was asking for too much. At this point what I need is what kind of things Airports charge Airlines. I not tried it yet - I have tried other searches but nothing that interests me - guess I'll have to scale back on my requirements. I'm willing to look anywhere that can provide useful information. Those PDF's are definitely interesting - I will have a look at them. Thank you. Anyone else who has any kind of useful information that could help me, do share! Much appreciated.

Need help finding websites to research for a project
Hey guys it's been a while since I've posted here, so sorry if this is the wrong forum. Anyway I've been trying to research for a pretty big project of my own. Is there a website that, well describes contract negotiations between Airports and Airlines? I need to know what type of prices they negotiate(gate fees, etc), however I'm having trouble coming up with what goes on. If you guys really want to know I'm starting work on the framework of a potential Airport Management Simulator, text-sim, PC game-based. Airport Tycoon is my main inspiration. I have the story-board all planned out. I have some basic stuff in, however I just want to know what kind of things Airports and Airlines negotiate in, and if there's a website dedicated to this type of stuff - it could really help me out a lot. I really have nothing to show right now however once I understand a little more about airport management and get the basic framework down I'll show later what I have done soon. I may use this a blog - I have an old word-press website that I've never really been interested in so I'll probably use this if people are interested in following. Thanks, help is much appreciated!

Payware 737-700/800/900
I would definitely consider P3D if there was a personal consumer version available, but for now, alas, I have to stick with FSX. I would go PMDG if their planes weren't so expensive! I'll definitely look at the other planes suggested. Is Ariane any good?

Payware 737-700/800/900
Sup all. I've taken some time off but now I want to get back to flight simulation. I'm looking for a payware 737/700/800/900 as the title suggests. I've searched google but I'm not sure I have found what I want. I am interested in hearing your thoughts about which 737 700 addon I should buy. Not looking for freeware, but payware 737/700s. Thank you for your input!

FSX Demo
I have FSX Gold but when I copied the files of both cds it would take a long time so I thought I'd try to see if I could activate the demo product into the full version.

FSX Demo
Or, I could just look for the dvds I already own... for free.

FSX Demo
I just recently installed the FSX Demo on my laptop to see if I can get FSX working again. Is it possible to activate FSX into the full version from the demo? Or do I have to have the DVD to fully install FSX? If I can activate the demo, how do I do it?

Apparently I'm not permitted to upload BMP's. So I guess I'm done with screenshots.

Sorry about not uploading yesterday's flight, I was quite busy. Anyway, yesterday's flight was a Horizon Air DHC 8 Q400 flight from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Sacramento International Airport. Here's all the nitty gritty details about the flight: Waypoints: KSEA, KSMF (Direct flight) Departure Gate: C4 Arrival Gate: 36 Type: IFR Time: 1 hour, 16 minutes Cruise Altitude: 24,000 feet Distance: 525.7 NM Takeoff Runway: 16L Landing Runway: 16R Landing: VFR SEA Weather: light winds, visibility: 40 M, cloudy KSMF Weather: Clear skies, no clouds, no wind, visibilty: 50 Mi Sacramento Airport is an airport that has two runways:34R, 34L, 16R, and 16L, and located in the central business district of Sacramento. The Runway arrangements is similar to Seattle's except that it has two runways and one is on the left side of the terminal and the other is on the right side. Southwest Airlines, Alaska Air, Delta Air Lines, United, Frontier, Jetblue, and American Airlines use the airport, I am not sure what airlines used the airport in 2006(when the simulator was released) Time for the details of the flight. As soon as FSX loads to KSEA, it's another busy morning, however there not that many airplanes taxiing. I got clearance to taxi to Runway 16L, and as soon as I got clearance, 6 other aircraft got directed to 16L as well, fortunately again I am the first flight to take off. From the ground it did not look like very many clouds to cause much wind, however that all changed when we were in the air. After probably around 2 minutes after takeoff clouds rolled in and all we could see was a small view of the ground, which wasn't very helpful. I now had to rely on my instruments. It took about 30 minutes to reach our cruising altitude of 24,000 feet when we reached the ceiling of the clouds. Still not very helpful as we now cannot see anything but the sky. It's a nice view but I would like to see where we are above ground. Oh well, at least we still have our GPS working. Around 90 NM we were directed to descend to 18000 feet. Seems a little early but everything worked. We descended at 2,100 feet per minute so it took us around 10 minutes to reach the altitude. When we were around 30 NM from the airport, the clouds broke away and now there no clouds, just a lot of wind, but after 5 minutes the wind stopped, which we were lucky because we had just gotten clearance to land. Landing was smoother than at Portland, Touched the back wheels first and then two seconds later the front wheels. Flaps were full and I believe we touched ground at 185 knots, so it took around 25 seconds to slow down to a taxi (5-10kts, standard throughout the US) Upon landing we were directed to Gate 36, via taxi way H9, A8, and B1. As I entered the terminal area, there wasn't a lot of planes I noticed only an Alaska Airlines 737 and two Southwest Airlines planes parked. Overall it was a nice, uneventful flight. Just a few clouds and winds. I'm still trying to learn when to exactly push the Approach hold switch as sometimes my planes make a wrong turn for a few seconds then turn the right way a few seconds late, causing me to miss my runway. In due time however, I will fully understand the ILS approach. Please suggest new routes for me to do and What plane types. If there is a different airline you want me to do, post me a link to the plane in this thread, and I will have a go. Pictures from this flight will be below. More to come in the following days, Cheers!

About to start today's flight, I'll try the screenshots feature. I've known it's been there I just have never really paid attention to it. By the way I meant 2300 fpm :)
